1) For some people (maybe US people) some of the 'features' people talk about like the .ini file and some of the override file and dialogue file stuff doesn't work. Might be a different version thingie, but I don't know. 2) The save game editor, while generally reliable w/few tech issues, can cause tiny glitches (largely graphical, but I've seen the stat-warp stuff too). Just re-load...usually goes away. Remember to make a NEW save in a new slot of whatever save you wish to edit, and edit that one, not the original, in case something goes wrong.

Where is the romance in this kotor2 ?
LadyCrimson replied to antagonistix's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Really? Cause my impression was that they were just cutscenes, ala the Ebon Hawk type stuff. But that would make more sense...like the Mira/Hanhar bit I guess. -
Where is the romance in this kotor2 ?
LadyCrimson replied to antagonistix's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The so-called happy ending, far as I can tell, isn't all that romantic either. Atton asks you where you're going, cracks a joke, and off you walk into the 'sunset' or something. Still...that would have been better than what they left in. A bit of closure. What I want to know is...does evil atton actually manage to kill Disciple? (or Handmaiden kills Visas etc). Where/what would the conclusion for that be? Dark endings indeed... Edit - because in terms of romance, it's the unfavored one that attacks, so your 'loved one' eats a saber? Or ends up winning and joining you at the end ala the Atton bit. -
dialogue wav file compilations
LadyCrimson replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well I remembered I had this program that would turn wavs into MP3's, although it's really simple and you don't have lots of control over settings for that ability. However it does preserve their original sound a bit better than the MPEG's I was doing (don't get the light lisping of the female voices, like I was talking about). I don't think I'm going to re-do all the ones I've made tho - it's not enough difference to matter to me. -

His voice is pretty decent quality, even if the songs don't appeal to me too much. I keep re-listening to the pop sample - I definitely need to get that NIck Heyward album they recorded. Haircut100 - I remember them. -

Really? That must be interesting. I'd love to pick his brain about his movies. The closest I've come to the famous is several e-mails with the actor Chris Cooper when I was doing a fan-website once. He's a nice man. And that Tabori guy doesn't exactly make me think of HK. :D Edit - and yeah, I've seen the '24' Ellis shows...I liked him in that one. -

Gerg Ellis singing... Bit over the top... Unfortunately I can't link to it. Ok, I need to go to the music store now. -

Yeah, I saw some stills from the Crash movie. He's not a bad looking bloke - But I think that wig is hilarious. I don't find Nicky very attractive - but I haven't watched that show. Probably grows on you w/the voice and all. :D Edit - and yes, that imb picture isn't the best of Greg. -

http://www.greydelisle.com/ EDIT - you can hear her sing too...country music tho. not my fave. --- Kelly Hu is almost the same age as myself. For some reason that makes me feel good. -
*mirthful voice* Hey now...stale air could be valuable to the right market....*giggle* But agree with you - it's a problem inherrant to games that feel a need to have almost all enemies drop something. It's like running through BG and finding nothing but.....piles and piles of arrows...off of most enemies. Man that drove me nuts. But at least BG had enough 'mini-bosses' and chests for the good loot. Did you ever play Nox? It had it's plentiful share of the arrow-syndrome, but overall I liked it's loot drop system, considering it's very linear nature.

Voies are very influential....no doubt. Sean Connery, anyone? (I mean, some people STILL find him sexy and he's what, 75? older? I myself find Kevin Spacey very sexy, and hey, he's not exactly Mr. Stud. But I love his voice, the way he can twist words around with it. Mmm. -
I think the Ossus Robe did it about right - a place you can't get to too early in the game - sure you can rush it, but you know what I mean. They could have placed a fixed treasure or two in Dxun's Tomb, Atris's chambers (end game - in a chest or something), Ravenger, etc. I would have actually liked it if there has been more places like the crystal cave - ie, where a certain type of item always spawned but what it specifically was was still random/level based. Or something.
-
Sounds wonky to me - ie, it should work, if you got the blaster and then went pretty much immediately to Grenn. Unless there's some trigger about having to ask him about all his other stuff first, or something....which I don't think there is. And you don't actually have to ask Chodo about it at all.

I had a game like that once....where nothing was falling. My stats were my usual 'fairly balanced' except for wis/charisma at 10. And then I had another game where I was getting all kinds of stuff dropping - very few of the super-duper items but still, lots and lots of good stuff....not that I used most of it...heh I like the random loot personally - random loot is part of many RPG's (at least in part) and without it I find games rather boring - since items are often so focused upon, if you get the same stuff every time you play it's....dull and predicatable. That said, it is a good idea for there to be 'special' items that are always in the same place, or always dropped by the same enemy, etc. to provide continuity or motivation. So there could've been a few/several more situations like the Ossus Robe, but the rest of the game still be random loot.

Darkside - force choking Disciple?
LadyCrimson replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wasn't personally interested in this bit because I hate him. In my case I think it's funny precisely because I like his character so much. Which just confirms my warped mind? -

LadyCrimson replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I love you stoffe. :D It works...although the animation is just that he grabs his throat...I'd love to see it animated where you lift him off the ground kind of thing. No special animation when he says "you've fallen far" either - just normal 'I'm talking' graphic. Still funny tho. In my twisted opinion. -
Darkside - force choking Disciple?
LadyCrimson replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But the NPC's get those forms anyway, assumedly because the Exile learns them then passes them on to her 'students'. So it feels to me like it would have been nice to see how the NPC's learned those moves rather than have them just appear magically in their attack option slots. Mostly tho, I just really want the 'more interaction' - and some of those small cut lines just sound really funny, both in context and chr. voice wise. -
Darkside - force choking Disciple?
LadyCrimson replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was afraid of that. *stomps foot* They took out all the little fun stuff. I would have loved to see that bit. :/ -
So in the game files, there's this option where the Exile force chokes Disciple during his "You're falling to the darkside" observation...and after, Disciple is supposed to say "You've fallen far." Question: Is it in the final game? Anyone ever get it? I've tried to trigger it numerous times, with various influence settings and trying all the dialogue options (both with and without having the Choke power) and it never comes up.

Does anybody like Dungeon Siege
LadyCrimson replied to Padmi Skydrunkard's topic in Computer and Console
LOL.....I liked the swamps - it was that damn goblin dungeon you find there that I couldn't stand. I hated that the focus was solely on magic and swords etc. and then all of a sudden it's goblins and bots with electric ray guns. Plus I just disliked the dungeon design. I got through it once to the next outdoorsy area and never got further. But yeah...the mules were cute. :D
