I've noticed some people's spider mounts, when idle, would sway back and forth and mine didn't. I wondered why. Then I found out it must be when you hit lvl 50, because now mine does it. Got bigger too. I still need gold to buy the occasional thing for all my alts profession gearing, so I haven't done the horse/AH thing. I seem to make a fair bit of AD as it is ... never enough of course, but it works. Goes in spurts. I still find the only use for AD, in my case, is trading for Zen. Generally seems like what I want (and how much of it I want), I'm better off trading for 300zen booster packs then spending multi-millions of AD on specific items one at a time. And the occasional lockbox key for the t. bars. Edit: so many lvl 60 purples for super cheap on the AH, I've bought a few of those. Sitting in mailbox for when I'm 60.

Yeah, that was kinda my thought/wondering. I know about horse-blinders, but they're usually a lot different (well, modern ones anyway). More like two flaps that block side vision. Those big spiderweb, metal coverings of the pic look like they'd interfere with forward vision (metal stripes would run across vision) somewhat, as well as not really blocking side vision very well. Then again, there are horizontal slat type anti-glare glasses and such, so perhaps while they interfere some, it's not that bad. And I'm certainly no expert on horses. Just seemed curious.

Hubs fairly new Weller soldering iron (which he still doesn't like as much as the 70's Weller that broke...) apparently can reach 9000 degrees! .... to which hubs muttered cursing of this odd behavior as he hastily turned it off was "I think it #@!#@ broke already." Not much going on around here outside of that. I've been out of the house a lot recently, however...mostly family stuff. Then I come home and snooze.

The flood/swimming pool pic is freaky.

Dragon Age III / The Witcher 3 trailers. Impressions?
LadyCrimson replied to Rahelron's topic in Computer and Console
I forgot to add my "disclaimer" that while I've read a lot of posts about the game series here and there, I've yet to play any of the previous Witcher or DA games, so there's no built-in anticipation (or antipathy...) for me in that regard. I'd probably respond better if more game trailers had elements of humor or were more subtle...something other than the overly dramatic "ultimate evil/ultimate hero/ultimate action/look at this handsome hero/heroine" fast-cut/bangbang movie trailer type thing that has become so blase over the past decade. -
Why oh why must I be the sort to obsess over things like leveling professions/commerce meta-games? I get so sucked into this crap. *shakes head* I'll think I'm getting closeish to that area. What's so terrible about it? So far I'm still largely having no trouble outside of the bosses w/their cheesy adds. But then, I'm a cleric. They really are the solo-EZ. Divine Power/AoE whammo. My rogue kicked butt for a while but at 35ish she's starting to gobble potions like mad if there's more than 2 or 3. Course, I don't tend to keep upgrading the gear much lately. Some of her gear is still lvl25ish. Heh.

Dragon Age III / The Witcher 3 trailers. Impressions?
LadyCrimson replied to Rahelron's topic in Computer and Console
This. I'm not actually that impressed with either trailer, regardless. Which isn't to judge the game potential itself...only the trailers. Fancy official trailers these days all blur together anyway...and are usually largely meaningless for wondering if I want to play/buy it. -
Yeah, I'm not interested in the chests. Getting Leader to lvl10 doesn't take too long (endless Explore Area's and 100's and 100's of local maps!) but after that it does slow down, especially if you want the rewards so everything takes 2+ hours. Helps when you have 5 Adventurers. But if one's main objective is to get the diamonds, once you're 13, who cares how long it takes to get to 20. Can use the other professions for the 3@20 goal at some point, if one wants. I forgot, too...I think at 20 you can get the 1600 diamonds without any resource at all, just sword/armor. Depends on why you normally dislike MMO's. If it's cause you typically like to do things solo, it's plenty doable solo. However like most MMO's, the "end game" if you're largely a loner isn't going to be super exciting ... not with the way the Foundry currently is. If that ever gets better then one could do a lot of those at the end, but right now it seems like it'd be a bit repetitive/not enough variety. But there are some changes planned and things planned to be added, so one might want to wait until the game is a little more sussed out before trying. Then again, it's free to try, so....

That's the beauty of it....Leadership makes its own resources via the tasks. So first you make lots of the blue scroll thingies as a start (it's a regular task, not a "special" one), then alternate between the diamonds when it shows up and more blue scrolls. At lvl 19 there's something similar, only you also get a purple random "treasure chest" along with the diamonds.

Strong poison = lack of need for giant pincers? There's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm too lazy to think of it. And scorpions (among other things) are why I'd prefer not to camp out in the open in the desert. Knowing me, I'd forget to shake out my shoes in the morning or something.

Ya can't run from da internet stahkurs! That's always a bit disturbing. Also, it wasn't me. All my bodies are decently buried in the backyard where they're supposed to be.

Hm. 1600x4 (worker slots) x 7 (total chrs) x7 (one week) = 313,600k AD per week (and 1000+ zen a week/exchange). And you don't even have to have Leadership at lvl20. If more slots available, even more. ...screw making workers or items to sell on the AH at the whim of demand and the high AH posting fee. That's good enough for me. (edit: you do have to keep an eye out for when that one special task appears, but that's no biggie via the Gateway)

I don't think even I quite got to 1000 hours in FNV. But I did probably get up around 700-800 by the end. It's not recorded on Steam however, since I play Steam-offline.

What's the max level of rune/enchant that drops from enemies? Lvl4? I'm 48/in the snowy area and lvl3's fall pretty constantly now. I've been trying to take advantage of the skill nodes that appear close to quest instances, before the patch maybe removes/nerfs a lot of them. Mostly for that small chance of the blue crafting assets. Does get boring doing the same 20 feet of area over and over and over... And my panther is finally lvl25, so all six of his gear slots are open. Not that I'm ready to put anything fantastic in those slots yet. His ring/tailsman/necklace etc. are all "white" so it costs nothing to remove them. His runes are lvl5 tho.

Crafting ore and leather pelts whilst listening to CSN&Y and surfing the internet. Best Ros pic ever.

OMG!  ...that said, as much as I love spiders, I will still "freak" just a bit if I see the corpse of a large spider in the bottom of my water glass just as I pick it up to take a drink. One can love something and still yet be grossed out by encountering said something under a few certain circumstances.

I'd guess it won't do quite as well as Microbutt is hoping, but it'll do a lot better (in terms of sales) than many may currently be wishing.

They're just 100 zen for 10 pres. wards. With the AD to Zen exchange rate these days, I buy them semi-frequently. Up to Rank 6 at least, tends to go in cycles, where you'll lose a few in a row then it'll succeed a few in a row, then lose 1, then succeed twice, then lose 2, that sort of thing. I think I read the top attempt has a default 5% chance (?), so at that point I can only imagine how many p. wards one would burn through. People still want too much for the C. Wards, imo. It's just a pre-download/prep. thingie. They changed it so when you exit the game, the launcher comes back up and starts downloading. If you exit the launcher it supposedly saves the D/L to resume next time if you want. I have yet to bother and always click it shut.

I didn't have the sort of weekend I picture Ros having these days but it was full of long impulsive journeys...was barely home for more than a few minutes a couple times to feed the cats. Har. I'm sore and pooped but it was fun like the old days. Need to get my car tuned up again, find a long term cat-sitter, grab some new cheap fishing gear and take a week trip in the van this summer. Maybe drop in some family up North along the way. Do it before I really do become a gimp.

Not sure if I'll see Superman in the theater. I'm definitely interested to see what they've done with this version, but not quite enough to pull me into the hassle of our local cinema...which isn't even all that great of a cinema these days. Especially regarding the sound. For a while they had the sound levels ok, but with Star Trek I had to lightly wad up some tissue and place it loosely in my ears to keep my eardrums from bleeding with every high screeching explosion.

Broke a finger? Ouch. Potential broken glasses are why I appreciate contact lenses. Even when I don't feel like wearing them all the time, it's nice to have them for certain activities. But my prescription hasn't changed much in forever so even ancient pairs of glasses can do in a pinch. You should see the outdated "dork" pair I have in the car dash for emergencies.
