Black or charcoal grey are my two fave colors for cars. That's a pretty auto.

American Riots, Michael Brown....is it justified ?
LadyCrimson replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic
Riots, looting, and violence that harm people or businesses having nothing to do with the percieved problem/insult is never justified. Protest, rally, and sit on the courthouse steps or something all you want - which may involve some authority confrontations, yes - but trying to get things changed by frightening/harming the common people - I don't agree with that. As to the verdict ... I'm not well read up on it enough to make a judgement. I think there are too many cases like this that may be ... unfair ... and/or to the outside observor seem to form a disagreeable pattern, but not sure if this case was truly one of those or if it was just high profile enough to cause inflammation over the potential pattern itself, if that makes sense. -
I don't hear Inception horns. I guess the timing of the bass beats is Inception-like, but using deep notes as punctuation is nothing new. (edit: to me is sounds like distorted blue whale, lol) The trailer doesn't make me excited, either. The graphics will be better, but I'm not sure I like the notion of an actual full park (lots of extras). Looks a bit "colder" and less humanized, if that makes sense. The idea of it being Sea-World like is kind of amusing, however. Although, that dino that leaps out to eat the shark is a prime example of why I still don't like CGI monsters very much. Could be any of 1000 that have come before. Visually dull at this point.

If Far Cry 3-4 had true lan co-op, I might've made an ubisoft account to try it with hubby. I think it's just online mission drop-in/drop out or something tho? @Drowsy Emp - one thing I don't really like about War for the Overworld is the super-dark color palette they're using. I get it's a dungeon, but it's so dark. And muddy. Kinda hard on my old eyes.

Does anyone else feel like they get browser-lag when loading YouTube-embed heavy pages? It kinda drives me nuts. I don't know if that's one of those SSD>HDD things, a Firefox issue, forum/YT scripting issue, just me, etc.

Few "wishes"
LadyCrimson replied to Psychomorph's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
In my brief foray into the backer beta, I felt like they ran too slow. But I'm impatient these days. I just ground-click in small distance increments to keep them from moving too far forward when that's a concern. -

I had coffee flavored creamy yogurt, beef/rice w/slices of tomato, and a half a banana. My cat had some crunchy dairy-flavor nuggets with a a little fluffy whip cream on top.

This will mean nothing if you haven't watched Supernatural. But I can't stop smiling every time I see it.

Cat Dog wtf?

I still can't justify building a new rig. I wouldn't mind a gtx 970 or whatever, tho. I should probably get one of those soonish. But I have a feeling I'm going to remain pretty "meh, no thanx" re: high-requirement AAA titles for quite a while longer. The past couple weeks I've felt like I can't drink enough water/stay hydrated. Multiple glasses all day of course, even drink a huge glass of water before bed and still wake up feeling like sand. Maybe it's winter.

Not playing, but I took another look at the progress of War for the Overworld. It almost looks like a game, now. A little too much DK2 influence (vs. mixing DK1 and 2 a bit more maybe) for my tastes re: the likely campaign format, but still looks kinda nice. The one video I watched that showed the available campaign map (probably the 1st, tutorial one) wasn't too impressive, however. Especially the sound. "We burn with the glory of (someone's) favor" over and over and over...lol. Not quite ready to purchase yet...in a few months maybe. I might like the sandbox and if they have them, skirmish. Probably won't do the MP. Not sure about the "sin" stuff for getting new rooms and spells. Could be good, tho. At least they're trying something a bit different and not a direct clone in that area.

Bought the Sim2000/Capitalism bundle because I used to like such games. Also, they're likely to run on my cheap laptop. So now I have 4 "new" games that .... I'm probably going to ignore and never play. But at least they're DRM free!

These two are brilliant.

The past few years: Hubby: "All these ppl streaming videos and stuff, clogging the works. The internet is for information! etc. /rant" Me: "Yes dear I understand." Last month: Me: "Supernatural on Netflix, wanna watch?" Recently: Hubby: "Cable sucks. Anything else on Netflix?" Me: "I'll make you your own profile so you can browse/add to a list." Currently: Me: "Whatcha doing?" Hubby: "Watching some Netflix." (his to-watch list has grown a lot) Me: "Still hate all us 'net streaming folk?" Hubby: ... silence .... "it's convenient." Me: "Ha."

You know you're getting old when you keep thinking the camera is out of focus and fiddle with settings, then suddenly remember you aren't wearing your reading glasses. Also: cat foot warmer. He walks up as soon as I sit, plops right onto my foot/feet and lies there until I move again. Hubs thinks it's hilarious.
