  1. This will mean nothing if you haven't watched Supernatural. But I can't stop smiling every time I see it.
  2. I still can't justify building a new rig. I wouldn't mind a gtx 970 or whatever, tho. I should probably get one of those soonish. But I have a feeling I'm going to remain pretty "meh, no thanx" re: high-requirement AAA titles for quite a while longer. The past couple weeks I've felt like I can't drink enough water/stay hydrated. Multiple glasses all day of course, even drink a huge glass of water before bed and still wake up feeling like sand. Maybe it's winter.
  3. Not playing, but I took another look at the progress of War for the Overworld. It almost looks like a game, now. A little too much DK2 influence (vs. mixing DK1 and 2 a bit more maybe) for my tastes re: the likely campaign format, but still looks kinda nice. The one video I watched that showed the available campaign map (probably the 1st, tutorial one) wasn't too impressive, however. Especially the sound. "We burn with the glory of (someone's) favor" over and over and over...lol. Not quite ready to purchase yet...in a few months maybe. I might like the sandbox and if they have them, skirmish. Probably won't do the MP. Not sure about the "sin" stuff for getting new rooms and spells. Could be good, tho. At least they're trying something a bit different and not a direct clone in that area.
  4. Bought the Sim2000/Capitalism bundle because I used to like such games. Also, they're likely to run on my cheap laptop. So now I have 4 "new" games that .... I'm probably going to ignore and never play. But at least they're DRM free!
  5. Trolls 1, comment sections 0? http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/21/tech/web/online-comment-sections/index.html ...I was always more of a forums person than a comment-section person anyway. ...one in the morning, not sleepy.
  6. The past few years: Hubby: "All these ppl streaming videos and stuff, clogging the works. The internet is for information! etc. /rant" Me: "Yes dear I understand." Last month: Me: "Supernatural on Netflix, wanna watch?" Recently: Hubby: "Cable sucks. Anything else on Netflix?" Me: "I'll make you your own profile so you can browse/add to a list." Currently: Me: "Whatcha doing?" Hubby: "Watching some Netflix." (his to-watch list has grown a lot) Me: "Still hate all us 'net streaming folk?" Hubby: ... silence .... "it's convenient." Me: "Ha."
  7. Haha, da plane, that's a great one, Keyrock.
  8. The Carlton dance Star Trek gif. http://geekypleasures.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/Carlton-Star-Trek.gif
  9. Because this place sometimes needs more light and fluffy.
  10. You know you're getting old when you keep thinking the camera is out of focus and fiddle with settings, then suddenly remember you aren't wearing your reading glasses. Also: cat foot warmer. He walks up as soon as I sit, plops right onto my foot/feet and lies there until I move again. Hubs thinks it's hilarious.
  11. I want to see the bloopers for this quote.
  12. See, now, that drawing makes the guy look rebellious/grungy, with a large dollop of "I'm not sure if he's going to help or beat the tar out of me." The guy on the TV show is pretty/clean with artfully toussled hair, and if I passed him in a dark alley, he wouldn't even make me nervous. Not that there's anything wrong with being pretty/clean. It doesn't feel like it fits, tho.
  13. Between VR and these things, and being able to do business via video-chats, people may soon only meet during scheduled fertilization appointments. Hm, reminds me of that one planet in Asimov's robot novels. ...and if one could clean the litter boxes for me, that'd be great too.
  14. I think we're probably oversaturated on any/all "reality" type shows, awards or not.
  15. Well, of course no awards shows "need" to exist. It's that simply from a viewer perspective, sometimes they're amusing to watch. eg, it's just more entertainment. Billy Crystal was still the best Oscar host ever, imo.
  16. Nice to see Obsidian in there (narrative). Kevin Spacey is the one reason I might've bought that game. But I didn't. Ubisoft...blargh. The idea of a Gaming awards is kinda cool I guess. If the movies can have their self-marketing Oscars, why not games industry. I'd certainly be curious what kind of "show" they put on.
  17. That's one of those shows that started off a bit slow, got a lot better/had to watch it, then started to get slow again. ...at the moment I'm watching Cats From Hell. I like making fun of the clueless cat owners.
  18. "U shower first. Then hugs." Shower? Whadda ya mean? I don't need no shower. It's Sat.
  19. I hope not too but I understand the feeling. Altho, for me it's the entire internet in general. I think for me, maybe I don't like being serious anymore. I just want to be light hearted and goofy. Not that I haven't always been goofy. Sidenote: figured out how to disable the laptop touchpad. Much better.
