  1. I either have bad allergies or a mild cold. Or Corvid. Or a zombie virus. Also, feeling rather depressed today. Blargh. Time for some fave sad-wallow shows.
  2. That's interesting. I liked that movie back then (not sure how I'd feel about it now) but isn't it rather critically panned? I'm surprised they'd make a series for it so many years later.
  3. [ Jiu Jitsu trailer video ] ...y'know, I've loved Nicholas Cage for years and years and have been quite willing to watch even his teri-bad movies (for humor value if nothing else). But I think I'll be skipping this one. Besides, from the looks of it, his role isn't very big. I bet he'll have about 13 minutes of screen time, 20 max. :P
  4. *clicks folders* - "Let's see how the days Ansel-ing came out." Cool shot. Cool shot. Cool shot. Should have been a cool shot. Not cool, game.
  5. I slept a lot. I haven't been exercising enough (again). I ate too many crackers/carbs this weekend even if they were high-fiber/seed semi-"healthy" ones. Forgotten my injection a few more times off and on, again. But I'm still fine apparently, so whatever. Between naps I watched a few episodes of this crime/secret life/melo k-drama and remembered once again that Lee Joon Gi is an excellent dramatic actor (he's just not often in series I'm interested in) but man does he need to gain weight. I have a difficult time believing him in scenes requiring physical beat-downs (swords are ok). Even I could probably toss him across a room.
  6. If sequels count, Dungeon Keeper 3. Not that I expected it would become a favorite of that series, but you never know and I wanted the chance to find out. Other than that, nothing. I don't tend to look for or keep track of developing games - often I don't even know about a game until after release. The few I did look forward to and took years to find a release form, so far did all release.
  7. I need to stop reading these threads because all they do is make me want to run out and build another current uber rig "just because I can."
  8. oops somehow hit new post instead of edit I guess.
  9. I used to start from tomato paste but since I'm pretty sensitive to acidity I'd simmer it for 6+ hours. Too lazy to go that long anymore, I'd forget about it and it'd burn or something. We've bought Classico as the quickie starter for ages. jars are small tho so I add the stewed tomatoes or more tomato sauce. I still find them too acidic but a couple hours and a tiny bit of sugar is fine (hubby hates sweet so I can't use much). Plus I'm the sort who makes a full box of noodles and dumps all the sauce in, so sauce gets absorbed sitting in the fridge etc. Or sometimes I put it in a casserole dish and bake it 30 min. w/cheese on top. I don't tend to like spaghetti sauce on noodles just poured immediately direct, it doesn't flavor noodles enough and pasta noodle flavor is meh. To be honest, even tho it can taste good, I largely make it because hubby likes it. If I was single I'd probably never make.
  10. Mm...it's always just "yellow squash" in the store/common usage from where I'm from. They're in the large and varied summer squash family, basically kind of like zucchini except a lot less bitter and more neutral (and have a curved neck/fatter bottom vs. straight), hence I like them more.
  11. *My pc suddenly starts making these constant wounded, weird, low-pitched beeps* ---check temps, check other stats, all seems fine, but a warning sound of some kind? ---restart PC. Keeps beeping. Fully shut down. Beep is still going. Ok... ---unplug the PSU power cable. Still beeping. wtf? ---roam around the desk looking at other potentials and finally ... ...it was the little portable alarm clock I have on my desk. I must've hit the top button accidentally at some point (making the alarm functional) and a low battery was making the beep really sound weird/unrecognizable.
  12. Looks a bit longer and taller, but a little less wide. Depends what their measuring points are tho. The RedDragon I bought had a weird widening downward slope to the sides that made it feel wider then a from-top measure if that makes sense. I basically can only stand something the size of what are known these days as "portable"/"laptop" mice. 4.5" or less long, 2.5" or less wide and less than 1.5" at highest point. Hence the Amazon one. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-3-Button-Wired-Computer-1-Pack/dp/B005EJH6RW
  13. Spaghetti sauce day again. (edit - yes I'm too lazy to go totally only from tomato paste, these days) (I was going to make/post an actual short video but I decided I fail miserably at cooking videos, especially in this tiny old kitchen).
  14. I love it when docs do this, as if they've never thought to themselves "it'll get better on its own". Just a rash, just a back/belly ache, bug bite, cold, bad clams, screwdriver slipped, etc. We're so used to our bodies doing such a good job most of the time of recovering if we give it just a little bit more time, one more day etc Glad you called/got treatment in time and it seems to be getting better.
  15. I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Programmable-Buttons-Switches-Profiles/dp/B00GU4F4OM/ because "everyone" said it was the smallest gaming mouse and might work for my small hands. But nope, it's still too "fat"/wide for my liking. Although it would be usable/isn't too large, it's still a bit uncomfortable and side of my thumb would hit the side buttons when I didn't want it to, too often. So it sits in a drawer unused, like many other peripherals and I just use a tiny Amazon Basics mouse.
  16. I've grown to like wearing a mask because I don't have to "social worry" if I have a zit on my nose or food stuck in my teeth or whether I need a breath mint or if my teeth are too yellow or any of that shallow stuff. No one can tell anyway. It's a great time to be a slob.
  17. First time I knew of him was that Winning song he did re: Charlie Sheen (don't think he has it public anymore but I have a copy somewhere, he was so young!), which led me to his channel and his early videos. His channel has changed a lot and I don't watch everything but he's kept me entertained off and on for a long while.
  18. Just be sure to include pics. Although I'd also be interested in what you end up thinking of the water loop.
  19. (I wouldn't double-post if y'all posted more ) Ok I officially love this guy. His normal stuff is singing songs in a style of another artist/musical concept. This BB King style one is fantastic. Talks his process this time, song starts around 7:09
  20. WTF? I'm in that section of YouTube again.
  21. Is this music or humor? Both? I'll put it here. I've been keeping tabs on YT "Roomie" for years, I love his impression vids/weird humor mostly. These days he has pretend feuds with others on YT. Anyway, ran across this guy "challenging" him this time. He's hilarious, loved it. When he imitates Roomie at one point I lost it. Plus I think he beats Roomie at the impressions this time. Edit: Also, that 'stache is awesome.
  22. I don't know ... technically I guess it's a light saber. Yet...it has a way to go before it's like (or feels like?) the one in the movies. Still amazing/cool, tho. The earlier/longer project vid:
  23. Sigh. All these games I've been trying, they're fun for a little while but they do not narrow-focus "obsess" me. So back to FFXV at the moment because Ansel screenshotting can pointlessly suck up hours with all the "camera directing" one does. Plus, I mean, doesn't everyone want to wait 15 minutes to take a 130GB screenshot of a CGI eyeball just to see what happens? Note: Windows Photo Viewer/irfan/other viewers do not seem to like images over 15x 4k - at 20x4k they tell me there's no memory left or that it's not a real or corrupt file and whatnot. Party pooper programs. Guess I need 128+GB RAM and NASA imaging software or something to actually view such shots...I suppose 15360x8640 will have to do instead.
  24. Then I either get sore elbows and/or soreness from holding my neck up. I can't lie on my belly for long w/out wanting to prop up on an elbow or roll to the side instead. It's neck-uncomfy and most of us females have something that kind of gets in the way of that. I don't know how hubby sleeps on belly with arms crossed under/above his head. So uncomfortable.
  25. Sometimes, when you can't it makes you want. I still like reading but my hands/thumbs no longer like the "book claw" position so it's difficult to read for long, thus it's hard for me to get into/finish them. I could use hardcovers but then I need reading glasses and a book holder (so I don't get a crick in my neck) etc. Same for ebooks/tablet, really, so I haven't bothered with ebooks yet.
