  1. Yes and that was a long time ago, time to move on anyone?
  2. I just looked at the UN Security Councils hp, appears my country is in the Security council, crazy, we're like 5 million people!. Anyway, what's really bugging me is that France is a permanent member and Germany is not... I mean, Germany's population is bigger than both France and the UK. (I love German engineering btw, kick ass vehicles both military and civilian, I might be biased. ^_^)
  3. Exactly, I heard about this as well, now THAT's hypocrisy, right Taks?
  4. They also had their nasty gaze towards immigrants in southern Sweden, trying to paint some sort of islamo fascist picture of the land being overrun with murderers and rapists. These people have no shame.
  5. No Powerslave, it actually shows more than anything in your signature, I know you Greeks are big on the whole Macedonia being greeks and not slavs thingie. In which you're totally right, I think. ^_^ And I agree with whoever said that Catholics are Christians and not nessecarily vice versa.
  6. Hey Powerslave, you're really into the whole ancient greece/macedonia thing, I dig it.
  7. Popie here goes by the name Panzer Papst, or as they say in English "Panzer Pope" - Probably due to his childhood manning of German Anti-Air guns while he was in Hitler Jugend. (they all had to, it wasn't something he approved off, though) But still, Panzer Pope, I dig it. ^_^
  8. By hades, people actually had a freudish approach to RoTK? What was their take on the constant ring swapping between Sam and Frodo then? ^_^
  9. Take a quick look at his sig and I'm sure you'll understand... <_<
  10. "Middelfart" LOL, never thought of that really. Disturbing. ^_^
  11. Willy your hair is completely outta control dude.
  12. These guys are not in uniform either, are they terrorists?
  13. You know what makes me sick? The fact that you think non US citizens have no rights and your signature.
  14. I believe that Christianity is wrong and gross, but I don't hate or reject Christians. There is nothing contradictory in that sentence. I refuse to accept gravitational theory and believe the only reason we can't float is because leprechauns are holding us down. I also refuse to accept aerodynamic theories and believe the only reason airplanes fly is a placebo effect, and once everyone accepts the truth all airplanes will crash to the ground. The evidence in favour of evolution is so absolutely overwhelming that the only reason not to accept it is willful ignorance. The concepts of a flat Earth and the universe revolving around our planet were biblical, but they have very few adherents left today. Those that do still believe in a flat Earth with the universe revolving around us are rightly scoffed at for willfully disregarding all evidence. I know a large part of the rejection of evolution comes from a need to people to somehow feel more "special" than they already are, "special creations of God", as if a god that rushes through things is more special than a god who takes its time. I don't know why so many Christians have no problem accepting the concept of their deity being immortal and powerful enough to create the universe and all its inhabitants in six days, but have issues with the concept that maybe that same deity might have the patience to take billions of years to do it. Not only that, I wonder why they don't have issues with God doing such shoddy work, what with leaving us fairly useless appendices and spines that are poorly suited for bipedal walking. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is my favorite post... ever. You describe what I'm unable to say in a very eloquent manner.
  15. Finally something Hasselhoff might actually be good at! :D
  16. Why should they believe in a God at all? It's up to the individual person to chose what they believe in. Me, I'm my own master, I pray to noone except perhaps in a very drunken state, I can't really account for everything that goes on there. ^_^
  17. It's certainly having an effect on me. ::breathes heavily:: Disturbing... Most disturbing.
  18. Holy... What have you done with your avatar Ros?
  19. Really? You got your arse kicked during the Winter War and you had to join the Nazis in 41 to regaign all the land you lost from the Winter War. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course they have an army, what did you expect? Besides, they fought against impossible odds in WW2 and could probably only have lasted a few months when they gained German support, you know what they say; the enemy of your enemy is your friend, right? Really, the only ones getting their asses kicked here are the Russians, considering their vastly superior numbers.
  20. Where did you read that? In my history books (by an american author, no less) it says the russians were fighting 70% of the german forces, the americans 20% and the rest (10%) were scattered in, for example, Italy, to keep the fascists happy. Where does it say Americans came to rescue..? America didn't join the war until they were attacked themselves. It wasn't out of kindness or ideology. It was out of fear they joined. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And you're quite right mkreku, the Soviets were the ones responsible for grinding down the Wehrmacht, the casualties on the eastern front were terrible (especially for the Soviets).
  21. I didn't say our system was better per say, I just think it's more healthy to get a fair mix of the different layers of society into the army. Just as long as you don't send those draftees off to war, let the professionals handle that, but under critical conditions during wartime is an entirely different situation. According to my Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, a patriot is one who 'loves' his country. I don't know how you personally will define the difference between just being proud and love your country, but as for me I'll just remain proud. ^_^ Yes I heard that Fox News have been reporting about immgrants in Scania (Sk
  22. Luckily, I can't even see what the jerk is saying, as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't exist. And I was replying to a different person entirely. But thanks anyway Ros. ^_^
  23. You know, here at least, draftees don't get shipped off to war if they don't want to, and it so happens that some of those who initially resist end up continuing or taking international assignments. Besides, you need an education to become an officer. I really don't want to talk more about patriotism, let me just say you don't have to be a patriot to be proud of your country. You're quite right, no nations is perfect. Did anyone here claim otherwise? Well I'll just say this, I really dislike what's going on in Guantanamo. So you define a country to be better by how many carrier battlegroups and battleships they have? Well you're certainly better at going to war, we've all witnessed that! We depend on U.S. power? What on earth do you mean by that? I certainly don't depend on US military, never have. So you must mean electricity or what? Tried that, remember what happened in Europe the previous century? You keep it.
