  1. Is there any changelog for day 1 patch? I've already noticed arquebuses are 25% weaker then in BB and strategy guide. How about blunderbusses, druids, wizards?
  2. I've tried that in beta and its not very reliable, besides there is a problem of chanter being not that great tank.
  3. My party is heavily gunpowder based so 100% increase in reload speed means huge increase in DPS
  4. From let's play I watched - Aloth and Udar (warrior) can be found in Gilded Vale
  5. Hi Myrten, the type of key you get is based on which tier you purchased, not how much money you put in if that makes sense. You can review this by visiting your Orders tab on your Account Profile. Click on the order(s) you have there, and there's a "What does this include?" link under the tier choice you made that will show you what comes with the tier you chose, as well as list any addons you picked up. My order looks like this: I understand your reasoning, but I must say this whole thing is a bit confusing in general BTW is strategy guide in pdf or website format? (It would also be very cool if it could be release early
  6. Resolve and Perception affect Deflection
  7. I got a problem with my party composition It's as follows: Fighter(tank) Chanter(tank\support) Rogue(ranged dps) Cipher(ranged dps) Wizard (ranged aoe dps) Chanter has an awesome lvl 2 chant which doubles reload speed but it only work in relatively short distance so my ranged dps characters don't get this bonus when he's tanking, furthermore he's not that great tank as I have to invest talents in his healing ability. So I'm thinking what to do with this problem, so far I have following idea: 1)Switch Chanter to ranged dps\support 2a)Replace Priest with Paladin tank or make Priest a tank (is it even possible :D?) Playing without a priest might be problematic, but current situation is bad and I don't think priest would make a good tank. Any ideas?
  8. I'd suggest going with Cipher http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71344-wizard-vs-cipher/
  9. Now I gonna have elven party lol....
  10. I wish we could I very much wanted to release it yesterday for you guys, but unfortunately with how Steam and GOG work, you can only have one official release date and time. The version press folks are playing is effectively a "locked" version that behaves in a more limited manner than an official release version (e.g., friends can't see you playing it, it's patched as a separate build, etc). This would still work differently than expected after the release date and would require us to send out a second batch of keys for the "official" version which we felt was very confusing. We definitely hear you guys though and had good intentions; we just couldn't realize them without a lot of strangeness for you. How about updating backer beta to full game ?
  11. I don't get how tier mappings work, I got two hero edition keys despite my pledge (post-kickstarter) being for $132
  12. To be honest I think it's much better to go with ranged rogue with blunderbuss
  13. I'd advise against using iron man mode for a very simple reason - you never know if you will not encounter game-breaking bug and in that case if you don't have multiple saves you are simply screwed. Europa Universalis IV (grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive) has similar system and despite game being out for like 2 years such game-breaking bugs still happen so people who play ironman can be screwed. I'm going to play on hard so I think I can pretty much ignore consumables, I'm not sure if survival would make the difference on PotD which would justify taking it.
  14. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, thing is I'm not really into consumables as I always want to save them for later and usually I end up don' using them at all Lore at main character is solely for the conversations. It seems I'll have to accommodate for athletics in every character.
  15. I think skill distribution across the party is pretty imporant topic, so let me start with a few questions: 1) Which skills are used in conversations? This is most important as only main char's skills count. 2) Which skills are used in scripted interactions? 3) Are there any particular skills which are useful for everyone? 4) Does it make sense to focus on more then 1 skill in single character? I'm planning to go with a following setup: Cipher (main char, ranged dps) - max lore Fighter (main tank) - max athletics Chanter (main tank\support) - max athletics Priest (ranged dps\support) - max survival Rogue (ranged dps) - max stealth Wizard (ranged dps) - max mechanics Any suggestions?
  16. Yes, melee cipher is simply too fragile. Focus on Arquebus and you cannot go wrong, both CC and DPS are useful.
  17. Since there are more enemies - do we get more loot on hard :D?
  18. At the beggining yes, but later on 5 difference in accuracy is not that big. As for graze as far as I know damage multipliers are additive so my enchanted Lead Splitter from Backer Beta with 1.25x and 1.3x damage enchants will hit for 1.55 dmg and graze for 1.05 dmg so it's not that bad.
  19. Well I think that with Arquebuss I got more then enough enough focus to fulfill all my casting needs, but to be honest I'm wondering which weapon actually does more damage. I've made some calculations (accuracy and reload speed are not included) and Blunderbuss seems better unless target has 10 DR (or 15 with penetrating shot)
  20. Why Blunderbuss not Arquebuss for the Cipher? Focus gain depends on damage done not the number of hits. I've did test playthrough with my Cipher using arquebus and I've managed to do 80-120 damage per shot so I had enough focus for pretty much everything.
  21. So all ranged, but if something come through tanks priest should switch to melee and act as a second line of defense? Makes sense Also, what weapon would you suggest? I'm tempted to go with arquebus on all ranged characters except Wizard
  22. Just based off the cipher specific dialogue options in the beta that class has peaked my interest. Some of the most interesting developments as a result of being a cipher. Question: Does the cipher-specific dialogue also trigger if one of your companions is a cipher and your main is not? I am really torn over if I should pick a cipher or not, knowing that I will want Mother as a companion the whole way through. I'm pretty sure it only triggers for main char.
  23. I'm planning a party like this: 1)Cipher - Ranged DPS\CC 2)Warrior - Tank 3)Chanter - Tank 4)Wizard\Druid - Ranged DPS\CC 5)Rogue 6)Priest I can't decide whether I should go with melee or ranged for my priest and rogue, I'm more inclined towards ranged since guns can do great damage and 2 tanks should hold everything. Any suggestions?
  24. Quick question - how about dropping Perception in my main character (ranged Cipher) in favor of Resolve so I'd get more dialogue options?
