  1. And I guess in the case of PoE1 you think "they have just chopped the main game up and split it into 3 different sales (the main game and the two expansions)". Do you always view expansions as pieces of the main game that have been cut off, or do you have some arbitrary reason as to why you think this is the case with Deadfire?
  2. Funny way to spell "Konstanten". You misspelled Cosmo the Space Pig.
  3. I share your concerns; I'd like Obsidian to provide us with some information on how large these DLC pieces are going to be.
  4. If this is correct https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gsz3Hd_3HPs6RtE5YFTfSUzcPNRUY2h9yy733Jp5_50/edit#gid=0 arbalest isn't better than arquebus. But gun fanboys will cry a river anyway forcing Obsidian to nerf arbalest (again). According to those numbers arbalest is better than arquebus. Higher DPS with the same amount of penetration.
  5. I for one will be holding Sawyer to that commitment of not reducing party size any further in any future game. I'm hoping that, in the next game, party size will be reduced to 5 dwarves. So two-and-a-half character, depending on how you count them.
  6. It seems extremely unlikely that were would be another Backer Beta; reallocating developers to prepare a new Beta build would arguably be a waste of resources.
  7. Are there any other people participating in the Backer Beta getting the impression that PotD in Deadfire seems "easier" than PotD in PoE1? This has been on my mind for a while because I'm not sure if I fully support the sentiment. I seem to be having a much easier time with fights in the Beta than I would in the first game in a similar level range. I can't help but wonder if this means that difficulty in PoE2 will be more loaded unto the mid- and endgame or that difficulty in general is lower. Edit: Accidentally a word
  8. The Witcher 3 sales numbers are fascinating. Almost nobody who is a self-proclaimed fan has played the first game. Very few have played the second. The third is one of the more successful games of it's time. At some point I think the experience is what people are after more, and Deadfire sells a unique experience. True, but the Witcher 3 is very accessible to people who haven't played the first 2 games. I'm worried that Deadfire won't be nearly as accessible, and consequently less successful at attracting new players.
  9. Player characters won't be voiced. Edit: Only the outside of conversation barks.
  10. "You know that unmarked island in the far NW is going to have some crazy sh*t." Or Ondra's Mortar I think insta explosion if you try sail into the Mortar.
  11. That's some neat detail, I hope Eder and Aloth's starting outfits also reflect their ending.
  12. So... is Critical Role the entire VA cast of Deadfire? I honestly can't imagine that to be the case, but so far they seem to be the only confirmed voice actors (if I'm not mistaken).
  13. As far as I can tell the description of the Redeemer does not refer to Eothas at any point.
  14. https://jesawyer.tumblr.com/post/172565647456/ive-noticed-a-change-in-how-deadfires-length-is April can't piss off soon enough, if you ask me.
