  1. What's with all the freakin' fumbles? I know it's raining, but come on! Back to back turnovers? Both teams need to keep their hands on the ball!
  2. Cannot bring forth a male child, though. No Y chromosome.

    Oye!

    Dude, mail-order doesn't count.
  4. Having the government involved in its production and distribution would inflate it even more...
  5. What part of Iowa is Ames in? I have family in Wellsburg, State Center, and Marshalltown. What's sad is that I live in South Georgia (about an hour from Savannah), in Statesboro (home of Georgia Southern University, my employer) and we only have three BBQ joints in town. The first is Sonny's, which is a chain, the second is kind of trashy, and the third is only open on weekends (but has great sandwiches).
  6. What? Man, the US needs more good barbeque joints. Now I'm depressed

Note: If your going to try and insult me, get your facts strait genius. Correction: I did get one thing wrong. Batman Year One ran in Batman 404-407, released in '87 (though the story was written in '86). That makes you one year older than the story in question. Actually, you never see Selena turn tricks in Year One, though Holly obviously is. It is implied that Selena was selling her services as an S/M mistress, though sex need not be involved in that. Regardless, this didn't break the character, and various Catwoman writers have established since then that she did this while laying low from a job gone bad. Never said that it was right or wrong, just pointed out that Miller isn't having Batman go after bin Laden, but Al Qaeda operatives.

Recently he did the Batman: Year One miniseries, which is an origin story of batman and several of his opponents. Only problem is that he took characters and made them into what they never were (Catwoman for example was a prostitute in year one. She'd never stoop that low on the ladder to survive). He's also a kook in that he's the one writing Batman: Holy Terror where batman hunts down and captures Osama Bin Laden. In "Dark Knight Strikes Again" he took a story and turned it into a chaotic bucket of ideas that he tried to turn into some sembalance of a story but ended up with the reader feeling like they just read five seperate unrelated nonsequiters. He's also a born again Patriot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Recently? Recently? Batman: Year One came out in 1986/87, which was before you were even born! Further, it was a reboot of the Batman mythos following Crisis on Infinite Earths and was in the same vein as Man of Steel. Holy Terror has Bats going after Al Qaeda agents, not bin Laden. Miller's stressed that point several times. DK:SA was crap, I'll agree with that. There isn't a bloody thing wrong with being a patriot.
  9. What? They do? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> its a massive generalization but it's true. It's noted that most of the south are die hard Republicans who want to do everything possible to eliminate Arabs... At least that's the feel I get. Most of the deep south is also deeply religious adding to the Genocidal desire. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're a freaking idiot. I suppose, according to you, I want to eliminate all Arabs? I'm genocidal? Grow the hell up, kid.
  10. Open the console and type in: DebugMode 1 showcomments Developer stuff, most of it is quite funny to read actually. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks!
  11. I think they are like DM descriptions. I've seen them in reference to Sand in the trial, and M-whatever ( ), specifically about actions which may be difficult to emulate in the game engine.
  12. Does anyone know how to turn comments on? I've read about how the game's story is more immersive when they are on, but I have not found an option to enable them. Are they a console command? If so, what is the specific command?
  13. Sooooo, using Azarkon's perspective, is it not hypocritical for the native americans to demand reparations when they themselves did the same thing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, that's the rub, isn't it? See, most politically-active Indians with which I've been associated (NOT all; there are those who want time turned back) have not wanted reparations (akin to "Reparations for Slavery" proposals which have been floating around for the last decade), but have instead wanted the treaties which the United States government signed and ratified (not all were ratified, but at least 2,500 were) followed or renegotiated. This takes the argument from the past (genocide) to the present (legally-binding agreements between two nations which are still in effect today and, unless changed, will be in effect tomorrow). Thus, the argument isn't "You're ancestor's wronged my ancestors!", and is instead, "Our ancestors signed treaties, which were then made law, which grant certain rights and land in perpetuity. You're currently in breach of the law.". In this situation, then, choosing to use American Indians as an example of how America's behavior in the past makes America hypocritical in the present in trying to deal with genocide, occupation, etc., is a unwise, as the American Indian political movement has not focused on acts of the past but on the reality of the present and laws which are in force (though not enforced) today. Azarkon's argument seems to be focused solely upon how past events deprive America from possessing any moral weight, rather than focus upon the present situation and who has moral authority. Does that make any sense? Not sure if I was clear enough. EDIT: Gromnir may have some different insights and experiences in American Indian political movements than myself. Mine mostly comes from a brief period of time when I was affiliated with AIM.
  14. All your non-installation data will be in C:/My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2 folder. It's a good idea to back that folder up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Much appriciated. Edit: Just one more query in that respect; if I uninstall the game and then reinstall, should I then do anything with this folder? Or will my old saved games just be there in the new installation? I hope you understand my question :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Copy it to a different directory, uninstall, reinstall, and then copy the old directory over the new one. All your saves, screenshots, modules, hacks, 2da's, etc., will be there.
  15. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> already did so. already has been stated that Gromnir's peoples would have gladly committed genocide on Crow if we could have managed it. HA! Good Fun! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll back that up with my people, as it's the same with the Haudenosaunee, who were ancestral enemies with the Huron and Anishinabe (Chippewa/Ojibwa, Ojibwe).

  17. Tracking, at least in my experience, displays enemies on the area map as well as the mini map. My biggest complaint with tracking, though, is that you aren't given any sort of information about what types of enemies you might be facing. It would be better, I think, if your Survival skill rank is high enough you could automatically determine if an enemy is humanoid, beast, dragon, etc.
  18. Heh, during , I had 8 or 9 levels drained off of my PC. He couldn't hit squat. I'd have killed for level drain protection at that point.
  19. Just a small correction, but petrification is one of the effects of Prismatic Spray, and the only one triggering in the non-1.03b version of the game. Petrification, though, does go away similarly to death. I learned this when Neeshka failed a Will save vs. confusion, attacked Sand, and Sand hit her with Prismatic Spray. It's happened a couple of other times since then. The petrification effect seems to last longer than death, though I might have been kept in combat for a while and not known it.
  20. Barry Manilow? HAHAHAHAHAAH! "Oh, Wendersnaven, you came and you kept me from dying, but I sent you away!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, that would make one kickass bard song. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "I sing the songs that make the goblins fry! I sing the songs that make the dra-a-gons die!" LOL, who knew that my mother's love for Manilow would come in handy?
