  1. Still, a gun is a gun, getting shot can do as much damage or more then being sliced or hit. These are high tech weapons too since they're energy based, hitting the broadside of a barn with them, even if you're a rookie, which isn't the case in Kotor, should be fairly easy, these ain't no muskets or arquebuse. I guess what I'm trying to say is, blasters and rifles are underpowered and innacurate in this game, I know why it's gotta be this way, still, it means your ranged characters have to take up swords and lightsabers or get left aboard the ship. It also rules out the possibility of playing a ranged fighter as your main.
  2. The way I see it, power attack goes to more martial characters like the handmaiden or Bao-dur, but soldiers and guardians get enough feets to max them all out, Critical strike and flurry for scouts, Visas comes with critical strike so I max it out for her. And I play consulars mostly, I figure only 1 attack is worth maxing out for a low-feet character, and that's flurry. When it comes to ranged attacks, I mostly favor rapid shot, I figure it works better, targeted shot seems to be good too, frankly, I know very little about ranged attacks because no one really uses them except the droids. One thing I liked about Kotor is it gave you the chance to developp some pretty powerful ranged attack characters, meaning Carth and Canderous mostly. I gotta ask, which ranged attack is best ?
  3. I think it's cool to have the crime boss aboard for the ride, and the droid looks cool, I'd love to use him more, but T3's better at everything then he is. There is a very interesting feature about him I never tried, it's his "civil war" program, but you just don't run into enough droids for that, like someone else said, he woulda been great at wrecking through his own ship and that's it. If you didn't get T3 or HK, I'm sure he'd see plenty of use. When you think about it though, I think Goto's the only droid you got with stealth skills and security skills, maybe demolition skills too, which in a way, makes him one of your most useful allies. Because of all this, he really feels like a character that's been added to fill that last spot in the character selection screen, kinda like Juhani in Kotor.
  4. Consular, Jedi master. Consular, Sith Lord.
  5. Or outnumbered.
  6. Do you have the disciple ? Have you been to Dantoine yet ? Is your exile female ?
  7. Well McRell@, I won't hand you any spoilers, but it might be possible to train some of your allies as jedi, in which case they're gonna need a lightsaber. The silver crystal works with Kreia's alignement simply because of it's color, which is the closest to Kreia's completely neutral stance.
  8. Atton: Let me shoot him in the back, no one has to know. Handmaiden: Restrain yourself Atton, a nerve pinch to the neck will incapacitate him painfully without killing him. Atton: Point taken. It was something like that.
  9. That guy starts out as a soldier ? Soldier/consular, that's an interesting combination, maybe I'll try that, starting out as a guardian and moving on to Jedi master.
  10. What's the coolest dialog you heard in Kotor2 ? Remember when you get jumped by the Zhugs on Nar Shadaa, I think it went something like this: Atton: Did anybody understand that ? Bao-Dur(mellow tone): I think he wants us to surrender to him and his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters. Or Atton: Next time I come in here I'm carrying a blaster. Handmaiden: Fool. Atton: Schutta. Or Czerka security guard: Batono ? never heard of him. Exile: You can tell me what you know right now, or I can hurt you and then you'll tell me what you know. That's all I can think of right now.
  11. Yeah, Mace Windu carried a violet lightsaber, surprised me. They never developped his character in the movies either, and I never read the books so I know very little. Frankly I was hoping that he'd say something like "Feel the force motherfooka !!, "lightsaber whizzing and clashing" " :D They should make a movie about the jedi badass Mace Windu, kinda like The shaft, but in Star wars In Kotor 1, my Revan character was always called Mace Windu.
  12. As far as I can tell, Carth made it out alive, so did Canderous, if anyone else stayed on the Ebon Hawk like Mission, Zalbaar, Jolee, etc. then they're all dead, like the Harbinger's medical officer said. Too bad, I kinda liked them, who else was aboard the Hawk I wonder.
  13. -The ability to access everyone's equippement inside the Ebon Hawk. -The workbench and lab station. -Upgradable gear galore. -Party influence, alignement. -Jedi/Sith conversion. -Party behavior. -Quick weapon switch. -Level 28 as upper limit.
  14. Never had the disciple, but if you gotta give up the handmaiden for this chump, then I never will, what class is he anyway ? He looks more useless then Goto. Sorry about that Goto
  15. I agree, Goto got the worst of it, he's poorly developped and alot of quests involving him remain loose ends, he dosen't have much to say either. The remote's mostly Bao-dur's friend, they come together, I never tried this, but I think it's outfitted with maintenance equippement that let's it carry out repairs on the fly(literally speaking) on other droids in your party, much like the maintenance droids you see on Peragus. Apart from that, they didn't provide us with much on Mira either.
  16. Did you have force immunity ? If you do, it's cake.
  17. When playing LS, I just go with what color goes for what class: Visas, Atton and Mira get yellow, the handmaiden and Bao-dur get blue, Kreia gets green, and the exile gets silver if I can get it, otherwise it's green. When playing DS, I strive to give everyone red, and give the silver crystal to Kreia because it works with her alignement.
  18. Consular, always consular. Guardian seems interresting, but it just feels like youre missing out on so many dialog and quests options, it really is: if it's in your way, break it. From a newb, I agree, it might be the best bet. As for sentinel, I never believe in middle ground classes in rpgs, a jack of all trades is master of none afterall.
  19. I usually take the handmaiden for that extra punch, and Atton, he's decent with a lightsaber and he's got demolition and stealth skills I lack. I take Visas alot too, she's also good in a fight and has stealth skills. I don't use Kreia alot, but no one can deny she's one of the more valuable members because of the force bond, and she's one of the only characters I got who knows any LS powers, especially force heal, I don't bring her along too much because her alignement can't be changed. The first time I played the game, I used Bao-dur alot, he's loaded with tech skills, in this game I'd use him but I don't want to level him until he decides to become a jedi (which he has not done so far ), the more I look at it though, the more I think he's better off staying a tech and bringing his skills way up there. As for the droids, they're great for looks, Goto looks cool, sounds cool, so does HK, and T3 is, well T3 , but I don't use them that much because they're only good with ranged weapons, and are they really that tough ? Anyway, you can't do as much damage with a blaster as you can with a lightsaber. Hanharr I'd be more inclined to use if he could become a jedi, he seems like a very capable fighter though. And Canderous, well for what little time I get him, I use him for sure. Frankly, Goto, Hanharr or Mira feel more like characters that were added just to fill up spaces in the character selection screen. There's just one complaint I got, among your allies, you get 4 fighters(some become guardians), 3 scouts(most become or are sentinels), and only 1 consular(whith only 1 hand). What's the problem here, could'nt there have been more consulars ? It seems to me Mira could have become a consular, not another sentinel.
  20. I know this should go into the spoilers section, but here goes. I'm playing a DS character at the moment, I've met up with Vrook, and the other jedi master from Nar Shadaa, and defeated them both, I plan to slay Kavarr too. I'm worried though, that killing these jedi won't leave much for the meeting where supposedly I get force crush, now I really want that force power, so, do you get it if you kill any of the jedi masters, does it take only one left alive for you to get it ? Or is the path now blocked because you killed any of them ? I need to know before I make more progress.
  21. I've turned everyone I could to jedi, except Bao-Dur, he dosen't seem to give me the opportunity. Are there any specific influence encounters in the game where he needs to be present ? So far I've covered Nar-Shadaa, Korriban and I'm almost finished with Dantoine. I haven't used Bao-Dur at all since Telos to make sure he gets the most force powers. Is it a stage in the story that allows me to train him, or is it a matter of influence ?
  22. That good eh ? I've always wondered.
  23. Could we please get Kotor3 to continue playing characters, leveling them and see who whoops who's ass ? I gotta say Kotor2 really got me addicted on star wars games  but preferrably Kotor games, so please can you hurry ? :D
  24. Revan's weak compared to the exile, but that's just a matter of levels.
  25. OMG, anime, somebody please, shoot me in the head <_< There's way too much anime in the world.
