The last time I had the Mira/Hanharr confrontation scene, Hanharr didn't even show up. I suppose the moment Kreia turned her back on him, that walking carpet just went back to Shadowlands hunting tach However, Mira could waltz right in the Trayus Academy and battle with the Sith assassins there, quite fun actually, although she couldn't go down the Proving Grounds. Another fun detail that has only happened to me once, was with the HK droid at the Telos base (the one you can repair, although it blows up right away). This time it didn't blow up, it followed me to the reactor and back to the tank droid. It didn't, however, join the fight against the tank droid, so I guess size does matter even with droids.

Dark Side easier ? I don't think so.
caradoc replied to ukplankton's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The background story has several points that make it understandable to have a DS Exile, IMHO. First, you are the only one of Revan's followers who didn't turn DS and went back to the Order. However, the council does everything it can to send you to the dark side (Atris even comments in the trial scene that 'he'll only go back to Revan' or something like that). Then, when you go all the way to find the Jedi masters and save their sorry little butts, what do they do? In the rebuilt enclave scene they stasis you and would have cut you off from the Force had Kreia not made Jedi kebab of them. In my last game I tried to go DS that very moment, alas, there are few opportunities left to do so. At least I got rid of the LS mastery by killing that pathetic soldier at Citadel Station. -
Or, she could just be lying to you outright (that would fit her character). Other characters don't mention lethal force bonds, iirc.

How the heck did you guys deal with...
caradoc replied to HeLLsFuRy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, with a male PC, I tend to use 'exile's angels': Handmaiden, Visas, and Mira. HM has a nasty force jump, and with a decent saber she deals more damage than the exile. Mandalore with ranged feats and a repeating blaster is also a nice choice. Whichever characters you choose, their feats should be tailored to suit your style. Mira, for example, can be used as a regular saber wielding Jedi, or equipped with a blaster/rifle (she has suitable feats). -
A multiple entry Visa(s)? "

Same here, you get all the good skills with sentinal, and some good melee feats to make you a formidable lightsaber duelists, along with good force powers. Then you get increadible force powers as a sith lord or jedi master and nothing can stand in your way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ditto, especially in Peragus, where the pc runs around by him/herself, you can use the skills such as * demolition (pick up those mines and blow those stuck doors open), * security (without it you have to smack your vibroblade on those lockers for ages and still get a backpack full of broken items, where do those lockers get that insane damage resistance anyway ) * repair & computer (for t3) plus without skills you suck at creating items Picking locks and recovering mines gets a hefty xp too. Now, you're going to say that why would you need all that. Of course you CAN live without, but I favor the skills. I'm currently playing as a consular, and my pc just smacked one of those cargo cylinders at least fifty times to get it open.

Wish Handmaiden could stay in this dark outfit
caradoc replied to Vashanti's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But I love her blunt, flat-out "No" when the subject of dancing for Vogga is mentioned... hahahaha. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Betcha she wears it privately for the PC -
The game was by no means bad as it was, it had potential for more, however.

Turn mira /Handmaiden/Visas into light=good jedi?
caradoc replied to Lannister's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Admirable Call me weak, but its the only way i'd have it too! :D No, being favourable to Visas shouldn't stop this. HOWEVER that said, I found that due to my favouring Visas, the Handmaiden eventually flew off the handle and wouldn't let me speak to her at all... period I'm not sure what triggered it, but im not sure it was a part of the relationships mechanics within the game, I think it was more because I didn't take her out on missions enough. - Dan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The exact mechanics of this has been discussed elsewhere in this forum, but the bottom line is that if you have considerably more influence with Visas than Handmaiden, the HM will get mad at you (after Kreia manipulates her). Mira, however, can still be turned to Jedi. Note that being kind to Visas does not automatically mean that HM gets angry, you just have to be nice to her too. -
Fell in love with Atton and Disciple
caradoc replied to Jedi Master Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Disciple is also there to spy on you for the Republic (which you can see when you play male), so he's not all the goody-goody you could think he was. -
Now, that's a tough one, but ... there can be only one ... Visas (w00t)
-
Its perfectly legal to use the whole available playing area. The fact that the gaming engine can't handle that right, doesn't make it cheating. On the other hand, staying on the right side of the counter isn't hard, if you developed Atton (especially if he's a Jedi).
-
Oh, I did not get that scene... how does it trigger? Apart from that, I completely agree. No character depth. Perhaps a little bit on the Ravager, when she suddenly has ideas on her own. Unfortunately, all in all, not good enough. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You get the Visas scene as a male pc while returning to Telos after Handmaiden.

Definitely - she roxs in her black outfit

Considering the drone holos i think is quite likelly, also he doesn't show anymore in the char selection window and you get no info from Kreia about him. (also so far i have not yet finished a game where he become a jedi, so maybe i'm wrong and Kreia speak about him only if you "convert" him) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, she doesn't speak about Baodur even if you trained him. But then again, she couldn't 'hear' him on the Ebon Hawk even though you could, so maybe she just can't get a 'reading' of him? It would seem that Baodur was intended to perish at Malachor.
-
That is correct, but no jedifying in the mean time.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Women, -deep sigh-, can't live with them, can't live without them. In the game, though, you can reload, could use that one in real life sometimes..
-
From the reply you get it sounds like you have been too naughty with Visas If you have much influence with Visas and little with her, the Handmaiden will get jealous and gives you the silent treatment. Thats what you get, if you piss off your would-be girlfriend
-
Reject planet? Why not Nar Shaddaa when Hanharr gets rid of his life debt No wonder the Jedi turn by the dozen when the dark side has hotties like Visas.

Voice acting is a central part of games like this, and I think KOTOR 2 was quite successful. Of the many memorable voices my favorites were: * Kreia: Very good (and one of the main elements in the game considering her central part and the huge amount of lines she had). * Mandalore: Effective * Visas: of course. When looking at the nominations she has already received, one can see that the number of people in love with that voice is steadily growing . No wonder the Handmaiden gets so pissed off. * HK: Fits as a glove (plus hilarious lines to boot).

When can I go darkside and still get Mira?
caradoc replied to JTC Midas's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You don't have to use Mira as a ranged character, she can be turned to Jedi (quite good actually, if you level her up afterwards). Plus, it is more satisfying to turn the little miss I-dont-kill-my-bounties into Dark Jedi -
KOTOR 2: Hottest Droid Character?
caradoc replied to jedi mad hatter's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah sure, theres droid enough for anybody. But if you have to stick with the list, then the 'fat one' is #1. -
You need to get yourself far to either side by getting LS/DS points. For this reason, Korriban is best if you do it late in the game. Note that the tomb quest is not required to complete the game.
-
Allthough you dont necessarily miss that +3 STR bonus, if you develop Handmaiden as a DEX based character + lightsaber finesse. In my last game, she really wiped the floor with those Sith masters in the Dxun tomb with her 30 DEX. :D
