There is a serious misunderstanding of what free speech actually means. In the US the First Amendment protects you from the GOVERNMENT. The GOVERNMENT can't shut you up. Or shut your newspaper down, or your internet forum. The GOVERNMENT can't lock you up or kill you over what you write or say. Even about it. Hell, ESPECIALLY about it. Remember there have been and still are places that very thing happens even today. Even in relatively free countries. It does not protect the speaker, writer, editor, etc from scorn, ridicule, criticism, etc. It does not protect NFL players from NFL management, university students from stupid campus policy, you from your employer, or any of us here from the wrath of Fio or the Mods if you provoke it. It is not unlimited. You cannot incite violence or panic. You cannot publish lies (libel) or speak (slander) lies with the intention being malicious. Otherwise knock yourself out. But you might e told to STFU and you need to be cool with that. Because that is OK too.

More Hardwood + Round Holes = Lots of Scoring in Basketball 2K19

I was ambivalent about the Grizz picking Joakim Noah. But he is putting together a pretty good season while no one is watching. -

A few weeks ago someone sent me the tweet she sent to announce her candidacy in '16 with the date modified. It DID have me going for a bit.

#16 The Bartman Incident This might be higher on the list but to tell the truth it had little impact on the game. Certainly not proportionate to the aftermath. Bartman did't walk Luis Castillo. He didn't throw a wild pitch that put Juan Pierre on 3rd. He didn't give up a 2 run single to Ivan Rodriguez or cause Alex Gonzalez to commit a fielding error that allowed Castillo to score and load the bases. He didn't give up a double on the next AB to Derek Lee. And he wasn't even at Game 7. Let's face it the Cubs were cursed! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq8G81oOHhY

Hickenlooper is in: https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/04/politics/john-hickenlooper-presidential-campaign/index.html How many does that make now? I lost count. All I know is right this moment no one running for President at this moment in 2020 is getting my vote.

SMH: http://reason.com/blog/2019/03/01/indy-woman-arrested-for-recording-police To be honest I'm a little surprised they didn't smash her phone, beat the holy hell out of her then shoot her while handcuffed on the ground. You know the problem with police? They are often utterly ignorant of the laws they are supposed to be upholding. And that ignorance never seems to have any consequences. It is perfectly legal to video record police in the public. Even if she hadn't been asked to do so she was doing nothing wrong. Plus the desire to have authority over your fellow humans is a character flaw IMO. Much like political leaders anyone who WANTS to be one probably shouldn't be. Yes they are a necessary evil. But still an evil.

If Gore had won his own home state he would have been President. Only two Presidents were ever elected having lost their home state: James Polk and Woodrow Wilson. In Gore's case, outside of college towns he was persona non grata at home over the whole Georgia Pacific thing in the early 90's.

You've heard the expression "Good beer isn't cheap and cheap beer isn't good" right? Well, I got this at Aldi for $5.99 but it probably should have been $2.99: I'm not sure where Folded Mountain Brewery is... or if there is one. In fact it might just be two dudes in a self storage shed in Topeka KS drinking better beer and pissing in bottles with this label on it. Whichever it is... pass on this one.

Not sure if that comment is at Inslee or Cuomo? I don't know how extreme either guys gun policies are though, and only crazies and hyperventilators think that kind of thing is an actual serious thing that would happen (meaning I'm taking your comment as tongue-in-cheek rather than serious). Anyways, I thought Cuomo ruled himself out months ago, like, over six months ago. There was also something about former Gov. Hickenlooper possibly jumping in later this week, so, that one remains to be seen. It was very much tongue-in-cheek. That is the the ax Inslee loves to grind. After DC v Heller and Mcdonald v Chicago the specter of (legal) firearms prohibition is greatly diminished. Not that the Democrats wouldn't love to do it. And not out of any concern for the safety and well being of the citizenry. They don't give a f--k about actual victims of gun violence other than how they might be used. Please believe me on that one. This is just the soap box Inslee chooses to shout from. much like Gore and his environmentalism. He is not and never has been a "true believer". He just chose the environmentalism as the horse to rise to power and relevancy.

Cuomo is looking at running: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/03/andrew-cuomo-thinks-hes-best-democrat-beat-trump/583642/ Inslee jumped in last week. He just can't wait to have the ATF kick down our doors take everyone's guns away. Maybe kill a few while they are at it. After all if they resist they obviously don't vote Democrat so who needs them.

No you can buy it directly from them through esellerate. Or Steam if you prefer. I've been playing since OOTP 8 and I prefer to avoid Steam when possible.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxE4jo4PTKE Out of the Park Baseball 20 has been announced. So far only the teaser is out. I've already made my pre-order. There are two games I will absolutely buy every year. This one and Franchise Hockey Manager (both from the same people). If you like a thinking man's sports SIM this is for you.

The Salem Red Sox will be going with an all female radio broadcast team this year: https://ballparkdigest.com/2019/02/28/melanie-newman-joins-suzie-cool-on-salem-red-soxs-2019-broadcasts/ I've never heard of Melanie Newman but Suzie Cool definitely has broadcast chops. I believe this is the first time the whole broadcast team is female. It's probably a much bigger deal than it should be because women have been doing PbP & Color for years now. Just like male broadcaster some are better than others. Good is good no matter the gender of the voice. John Sterling and Susan Walderman on the Yankees radio team have been together for years and do a great job.

#17 Fisk waves it fair Game 6 of the '75 series in extra innings Carlton Fisk wills a ball fair to force a game 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WRi6iZAl-I Of course we all know what happened in game 7. But it was still a very cool moment. Incidentally if you've ever seen the movie Good Will Hunting this was the HR Matt Damon & Robin Williams were talking about.

Exactly. It HAS to be round. How else could the sun revolve around it like it does???

OK, at the risk of sounding stupid... this whole flat earth thing is a internet joke right? I mean there is not actually a large group of people out there who really think this right? Because this sounds like something college kids do to get a few laughs, maybe at the expense of the handful of fools who really do think that.
