I think the main form of multiplayer a KotOR style game would have to be over LAN (or multiple controllers) - ie, where people would easily play at the same time, in a single player co-op situation. As mentioned Multiplayer fighting is covered by SW BattleFront and Jedi Knight series.

this doesn't have anything to do with terrorism though (although that's what some media may be inferring since the description of being a "Muslim" is always being discussed). To put it another way, if it were say an Asian group that beat up those lifeguards then I reckon the same thing would've happened except it'd be asians involved, however, I don't think they're would've been a 2nd night of "revenge" attacks cos that was triggered by a false rumor of a Mosque being attacked. And for those in Aus I personally don't think this has anything to do with those recent Anti-Terror Laws, although as always the Greens (political party) will probably use it as an excuse like they always do.

At least I suppose it's not as bad as down here (Melbourne) with all those Asian (mainly Viets) people being involved those things like Nightclubs and knives. True though they weren't riots or anything - still portrays a negative image of their culture. And I thought it was only Israel/Palastinians who were obsessed with revenge. I doubt the lifeguards were bashed because they somehow criticised Lebonese culture or whatever.

I live in Melbourne so I too can only get my stuff from reports. Here's what I've pieced together: - There has always been a problem with "gangs" (although I'm sure nothing like Bikie gangs or mob gangs) where basically in this a Lebonese gang kept being "hard-core" and "fully-sic" and kept pissing people off at the beach. - Two life guards then got bashed (don't know about the sorting it out thing but that makes sense to me) - A group of "Aussie" then form some sort of show of support down at the beach and heaps of people show up to show solidarity. This mob is then incited into a drunken mob rampage and end up beating up anybody who looks Middle-Eastern origin. - That night, the Lebonese gangs and Middle-easterners go on a much more violent rampage/riot as revenge and go onto beat people up and smash cars, etc, Paris riot style. - They (Middle-East/Lebonese) then do it for a 2nd night in a row. So is the discussion about how "Even Australian society is suddenly collapsing as well" is being exagerrated? FYI Melbourne (well, every place except Sydney) is fine...for now.

I've just joined the map - hmm, not many Aussies (come on BastillaSkywalker we need everyone we can get ). Well I've decided to put a real pic of me up; I never would over the internet...but just this once. I had the Christmas spirit but I got hit with a couple of bits of bad news. Relatively small when compared to being shot and stuff but still, pretty depressing for me.

Need any more on the multiplayer thingy then? (yeh, I was lurking waiting to see if someone else would try answering first ). In regards to that muting bug I can't exactly fix it because my main desktop comps PSU is in warranty and will probably be ages till it comes back since the guys involved like supplier or whatever are on Christmas break. At least it's not a game breaker....

The whole planet hopping thing is easily flexible and is dependant on how the main story is structured. Have you played Star Trek: A Final Unity? Much smaller scale than KotOR but had the idea of free travel too but differently structured story. You mean like K1...Also remember that K2 character quests were cut. Cut. No...they'd go buy Episode 1 Pod Racer instead for a much lower cost. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you but yeh, the alternative already exists. I'm trying to fill that hole. :D There aren't enough people wanting to play MP mind you. . Anyway that's why I like SWAT 4 - you don't have to go and kill everyone. That said, KotOR is still a big improvement on Jedi Knight, which is why it also appealed to me - you can walk around in a city with people AND still be carrying weapons. As you probably know you can't have all the above and now . Wanna play Pazaak?

Atris - such a waste of a good character.

I voted Taris but my other consideration was Manaan - I guess you could say I'm a sucker for modern cities. I eventually said Taris because of all the activity going on, Coruscant feel and how it was modelled above and below (not the Under/Lower levels, but how the background had to show both above and below the horizon). Manaan was also well done but mainly due to it's polishing/pleasant finishings.

I had to play Tatooine with heaps and heaps of lag cos I didn't have my new desktop back then. Overall I'd have to say Manaan even though Tatooine pays a lot better. I'll always race in them all though. I got hit with the forfeit bug so I didn't end up racing much in K2.

And I didn't notice any Grammar problems with the subtitles.
