I like a level cap as well. As a younger teen I just picked up hating the whole "my character is level 99". Now imagine having a random loot generator apply to a game with max level of 99 - I wonder who'd be dedicated enough...I won't be.

I just saw Episode 3 and I would be tempted to vote the Exile in along the same lines of Darth Vader. I know he's not a Sith Lord (really, screw the exact definition) but seeing Anakin believe Sidious all those times just seemed so familiar....

I still don't think it's a good idea to make K2 a better game because of what it could've been. Storywise I reckon K1 was way better. K2 was just too deep into Star Wars and yes, understanding wasn't helped by cut content. I guess one thing I've kinda picked up is "Force Wounds my arse" everytime Kreia or anyone else sells the point. K2 gameplay is better because of the suggestions implemented from K1. Influence system is much needed but very poorly executed here. K1 Overall

Do you really want to hear more crap coming from her mouth...(although storywriters gave me the impression they were making her tell the truth). I think being trained in the Dark Side is more Sith Lord then Dark Jedi, but not True Sith. Here's just what I think now: True Sith - species with particular teachings/morales Sith Lord - a person (including True Sith) who follows the Sith teachings and morales Dark Jedi - a Jedi who just wants power or is consumed by anger, etc. In the end I just consider them all baddies mostly likely holding red lightsabers.

I suppose ultimate fate of Jedi or Sith makes sense, but being influenced by the concept art, and also the fact that the Jedi are already defeated, I was expecting the LS game to lead to a...I guess a rebirth of the Jedi by re-uniting them and then a showdown with the "Fake" Sith. Well, the way they win I suppose is not important but in LS, the surviving Jedi are still gonna be in hiding or besides from Bastila (who may not even be a Jedi, although I would think she still is ) you only have a few rag-tag Jedi around. :ph34r:

At first I thought it was a bit like talking about Revan with Atton on Peragus (like you said, generating the backstory), but in some of those Malachor conversations like with Atris, I remember having the feeling that I chose the "wrong" option. Haven't played the game for ages and I'm not sure if this was part of it, but I remember playing, assuming that the theme was a bit like KotOR of you are the person you are today and not wanting to change the past, etc (lol, hard to explain). I think I better get some rest

And if you haven't been told about the Restoration Project, it tries to deal with some of this. Although kinda back to the original thing, I also found the whole Malachor V thing (actually the whole memory loss, or lack of information to the human player) bad because, for example, I was answering Atris' questions without even knowing what I did...but the answers model I do.

Well this is an old thread - music/movie replacement files have been released since then. No, I very very very....much doubt another official patch before then. The only patch I'm waiting for is the Restoration Project Mod.

I found a lot of the ideas used in K2 rather stupid and there's a lot of discussion with stuff like Revan going off or True Sith or the obsession with the word echo. Like I personally think they took some of these Star Wars themes too far. For instance in K1 the romance is referring to Episode II but at least the outcomes can vary, but in say K2, it has the whole Jedi Purge thing to it but whatever you end up doing they die anyway....great selection of choices there. Then you got the True Sith which I think is just stupid (mainly cos it's Revan/you who goes running screwing up all of your good work in K1 ). The Force Wounds I'm hoping was a Kreia fib but just like the True Sith, Obsidian/LA seem pretty determined to make it a true thing. I suppose I just find it disappointing that of all the possible avenues (for instance the Rakata were completely ignored) of continuing the story they chose this set of story elements. Doesn't help when the game has it's own issues as well... Now this may sound contradictory but I don't the game is bad overall...just when you block out what you're actually doing and just focus on gameplay.

Well considering how I think the whole True Sith idea is stupid it's kinda hard for me to say this, but yes, the Revan in K2 is just stupid.

I'd have to say Revan and HK because of all the funny conversations you have with him. Favourite non-Revan one would be Bastila/Mission, but mostly all because of that cutscene where she "Force Nudges" her.

Being arrogant is dumb I reckon Anakin/Vader is probably the dumbest one out there because he was arrogant and completely oblivious to the whole Sidious thing (yeh...sure the Dark Side is gonna help life...)

I usually randomly choose between Critical and Flurry. I would lean towards Critical Strike more for Bosses (or at least named characters in general). In K1 I would use Rapid shot a lot with the Baragwin Assault Rifle. I think the Force Speed/Rapid Shot bug is still in K2

Would you consider a person to be overly picky if they said they just won't even bother with Goths? (not that you'd be rude to them or anything)

I'd have to say Atton when he's cracking jokes and stuff but his Jedi conversion path was just stupid (although I was pretty cynical of the whole game by then). Best Party member though I would say Mira or HK cos I made them freaks with guns. Mira with general pistol/blaster feats and HK with that Critical Hit 50% assassination protocol.

Story wise: Bastila , Party wise: Jolee (almost like endless force)

Hmm ok... I've thought of a couple of possibilities, although the first one is more related to access permissions which you have : - There's an error when it tries to install/check the fonts or create a new (player) file - Do you have DirectX 8 or higher installed on it? I'm running out of ideas...
