  1. Yeh, no way u gonna kill off Bastila Are you referring to something like "The Adventures of Obi Wan" (or whatever it was?). Well I never played that but I heard it was easily seen as money milking gimic but if it was a well made game I'd go for it...
  2. I'd say KotOR 1 simply because it's the first in the series but still has great mods and stuff. I mean if you haven't played either you will be very satisfied with both. Although the Restoration Project is a big gain for the mods of K2, you gotta remember why it exists in the first place . K1 doesn't need a Restoration Project. Besides, may as well play with K1 and when the Restoration Project finishes, then get K2 and it should be cheaper too. At least Pure Pazaak is an option regardless of the game you get ^_^
  3. There's a bug in v1.2.0 where the fix of the "lost turn" network bug has created a new "double-turn" bug, where just like the old one, a player may end up getting dealt two cards in a row instead of just one, and usually busts them. A fix is being tested and should be out soon. Well at least it's better than the "lost turn" bug since the game can at least continue. As a little example of what I mean about sharing portraits mentioned in the manual, here's my pic: Edit: The fix didn't work so it'll be a bit longer
  4. You aren't just Topaz Quazer under a different name are you? lol. K....otherwise the whole previous games would just be a waste of time.
  5. I'm guessing he wants "Luke I am your father" (as he has now)
  6. Version v1.2.0 Released The download now includes the comctl32.ocx file which heaps of people seem to need and the manual (with some rather obvious mistakes corrected). I've re-allowed the tolerance in different versions in netplay; that is, games from the same generation can play with each other. For example, v1.1.4 can play with v1.1.5, but v1.2.0 can't play with v1.1.5, (because of the turn acknowledgement feature), thus the change to v1.2.0. Just be weary though that I may have missed something so best to always have the latest and matching versions. Here is the updated manual as a separate download (same as the one in the v1.2.0 download): Pure_Pazaak_Manual__8_02_2006_.pdf Again, all comments, bugs, suggestions, whatever, welcome!

  8. lol, u still forgot Black! You gotta revise again, haha.
  9. Yep, me too. I voted brunette just over blonde (no black, not I probably would've voted for it, lol) because I too am a sucker for a great face/smile, and most of the top ones I like were all brunettes. I don't think Martina Hingis would look better in blonde Red doesn't do much for me - but I do like those ATI Ruby movies  If a blonde has the look as well though they easily win in my book, but like I said seemingly rare, lol.
  10. All I know is that Chinese New Year is money "re-supply" time for me. (Well I do know about all that demon scaring noisy firecracker lion stuff but it's all just entertainment) Got a long while till I end up getting married and have to start giving out the red pockets of money myself.
  11. Darth Maul got chopped in half, by...suprise, suprise, Obi Wan Kenobi.
  12. In the old Pazaak games it was completely random but now draws are from a finite deck. Right now it's on-the-spot random because I don't know what the deck conditions are. There's 4 of each card, 1 - 10, in the deck. So 40 cards total. -Akari <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  13. Well since the Pazaak AI question to Devs thread got moved here may as well announce what's happening. Basically I've modularized the AI so you can choose what AI to use. Right now there are only two AI's: - the original, all-conquering Pure Pazaak AI I wrote which a couple of people said is too hard - a beta-ish version of the actual AI used in K2, described by Akari here; which is the one being clarified in that moved Pazaak AI thread. Right now, unless I get any input on this here, will probably make the K2 AI selectable in "Arcade" mode only.
  14. I was gonna PM Akari but he hasn't been on for a while and it would seem like a waste PM'ing as many devs possible. Still, I'll send a PM to Akari now anyway (maybe another dev has seen this and can give him a heads up to check). Until then, I guess people may be able to fill the gap from their own experiences with K2 Pazaak (cos I don't have it installed). Anybody play recently and know whether the computer will stand if it plays a card and equals your score? Actually no. I know nothing about modding K2. All my work on it so far has been done on what a player can see/do. In short, all players see is the card the computer plays, and that's all I see too. Lol, hey Mossa what's with the heart ?
  15. Got moved to the "KotOR General Discussion" forum so now there are (never intended) two Pazaak-thingy majigys. If you have a suggestion or problem with the Pure Pazaak program post it in the main thread here, but I suppose if you have an AI (my AI that is) related question or suggestion (like you seen it do something stupid) then feel free to ask here, although the general impression I'm getting is that the current AI I've written is too good Hi, In-case you haven't seen me before I'm the guy that has made the Pure Pazaak standalone game (and the previous ones Pazaak Online/Arcade), and up until now I've used my own written AI since the whole thing was done without knowing any code stuff from the KotOR games. Couple of days ago I decided to add as an option, the K2 AI into the game, following the algorithm described by Akari in this post/thread here. I've followed it through and created the matching code but there are a couple of holes that just don't seem right and I'd like to check whether that is all to the AI or if something was left out (especially if Akari was just working from memory). So what happens if the AI plays a card to 19 but the player is also 19? This scenario is not covered so by default it just does End Turn for me since it doesn't match the case for stand because player score is not lower than AI score. Uhh...to make this thread a bit more useful to others and not just devs feel free to comment on the Pazaak (KotOR or mine) AI in general. Cheers (wasn't sure whether to put in the K2 sub-section or not but since devs hang around here prolly more useful here)
  16. It's all about the Star Wars feel. The Sith forces in K1 are suppose to be of Rakata design but to keep the whole Sith/Star Wars familiarity you got Sith troopers with full uni-coloured armour like Stormtrooperes and pointy ships with the same basic shape design as a Star Destroyer. K2 was just weird cos you got a Star Destroyer in the wrong time zone
  17. Yup. Also have those. They were made by these persons themselves and were not included in the tracks itself. They never made a Kotor2 track because they were forced to remove all Star Wars and Indiana Jones themed songs from their (and the other sites) site... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Has anyone gone through and matched up/renamed their "soundtrack files" to proper names? I don't have K2 installed so just wondering if anyone has a renaming list done already.
  18. What about the Sleheyron (based on filename anyway) track from KotOR 1? It's the music that plays when you go into that Mysterious Rakata Prison Box. If you downloaded that "KotOR Soundtrack" from a while ago it's #42 - Unknown World.
  19. I'm pretty sure I fixed that, lol. But I'll check again.
  20. I also sometimes when looking for "sad" music end up being satisfied/getting the same effect from music which may be more..."reflective" music instead. For instance Era: Ameno (Remix), is not typical sad music but for some reason gets me thinking and a couple of tracks from the Sims 2, quite strangely even one of the "Pop" style ones makes me think/acknowledge how screwed my future is.
  21. If you really do want it (it's not like you really need it anyway) then send me a PM and I'll e-mail it to you. Well I'm just trying to model the game as best as possible and that tie-breaker also took me by suprise in KotOR 2. So what happens when both players play Tie-Breakers? Tie...maybe...anyway point is...too bad, LOL. In Pazaak Online (the first in the Pazaak Project) the 9-card win tool was infact auto-stand if you filled up the last spot, but then was changed when K2 was released and I found out about the rule. uh...are you sure? Cos if it finished on 28 after filling up 9 slots then it should've bust and you win. btw once I send my graphics card in for a fan repair (bloody hell, no gaming anymore) I'm thinking of implementing the K2 AI process described by Akari in an earlier Pure Pazaak thread
  22. Well I know my one doesn't cheat in anyway
  23. Yep, regardless of your score The Tiebreaker has to be the last card played in that set. Hey was the manual not clear on these two? Got any suggestions?
  24. lol, why thank you, but no one's played against me yet. I voted The Champ but I found him easier than Suvam Tan in K1 (but I guess this is K2 players only).
