  1. I don't have anything specific. Just go and create your own finnish.rtf or dutch.rtf or whatever . The only restriction I can think of for now is that it has to be a normal .... uh....Englishing lettering style language, so not like Chinese. The key is to keeping it to the normal font. If you had to insert a few symbols here and there and not sure, just send it back anyway and I'll report on whether it worked or not.
  2. OK. I've finished the initial conversion of the program to make it easy to change the text/language. What to do: 1. download the attachment (simple rtf file in Wordpad) english.rtf 2. change the red english text into your native language 3. post here (and send me a PM to let me know) and either e-mail me the modified file (address over PM) or just post it as an attachment like I have. This is all still a bit of a beta-test thing so just keep in mind it may not go ahead. For example some of the text/button boxes are already tight on space - we'll see. I've left all the programming related stuff in because: 1. You may need some reference like what is being said 2. I want to be able to just copy-and-paste your translation into a new translation "module" in the code and have it working - so try not to accidentaly mess up the other stuff
  3. I'll send you a PM when I've figured something out. I just realised we're not just talking about game messages but all the buttons, captions and everything else so it may or may not take a while
  4. You have to beat each campaign opponent 10 times (doesn't have to be in a row). it does sound like ages but just remember I tried to make it a long term occassional/time waster game. btw no one has reported reaching the end yet , not even the apparent Pazaak-mad players. I think I've fixed up your post grammar correctly Firstly, there wouldn't be any other existing translations/languages because I'm the only person who worked/is working on the program, and I have only ever made it in English. Great suggestion though and I'll work on putting in language selection. What I'll do is post up a text file or Word doc (not sure if notepad likes symbols) of the English lines used in Pazaak and then you can download, change them, then send it back to me and I'll integrate it into the program. I guess this is a good time to mention that I urge people who registered on the forum to post in this thread to also contribute to the rest of the forum . Plus it means you'll come back and know about updates. No point making translatable if you don't come back to translate "
  5. No One Lives Forever 2 was much more spy related than No One Lives Forever 1, although in the end I actually liked NOLF1 better. Both were very good Austin Powers mock ups (which is the point ofcourse). Another character for this poll could be "Jason Fly" from XIII ( ). Sure you are supposed to be a killing machine but man, more than half the game was sneaking around! LOL, guess it was pointless just mentioning a character I wouldn't even vote for
  6. After dealing with many salesmen and stuff I've gone with buying the monitor. Lol, first was a salesman, then the manager, then another salesman, then the manager, then I asked about a "refurbished" one that some guy on eBay was selling (but essentially each eBay buyer still dealt with Dell), which the first manager referred to another manager. Then I get an email from the 2nd salesman saying his manager (the 2nd one, not the first one) and upper management approved a deal which I've accepted. hehe, yeh I've deliberately left it a bit ambigious for the hectic feel. Anyway my final reasoning was that if I couldn't get some sort of job by the end of next year I'd have bigger problems then just a slow comp - final year of Uni and no noteable work experience = not good future
  7. Hear hear! Maybe having the pic will start swinging the votes our way!
  8. Yup, Cate Archer from No One Lives Forever.
  9. LOL. Barely, and requires a stretch of the imagination... Welcome to the forums. Why don't you go play some Pazaak cards instead? "
  10. Yes on Whirlpool AU forums this was brought up as well but then I got more specs and pics/feedback from owners and had 2 main points: 1. The 20" Wide is the same physical height as the 17" and in the end, practically just an extension of the 17", and resolutions are similar (except the width). I've got an P4 3.0GHz/X800XL which granted is slowing down, but nowhere near "upgrade needed" stage yet (quite a long way actually I think) So if my g-card couldn't hack the extra res...which it won't , I can first try turning it down to a lower widescreen res with monitor scaling it up (which I've usually found fine; not especially blocky), and if that still is too slow, I can revert to my current res settings which I know are fine and just stick to those. ie. I don't gain anything but don't lose anything either. 2. In general I'm finding myself more and more busy so even if I have to resort playing games at same state as before (so black bars on the side = 17"), there will still be a lot of "monitor time" spent using the full area. LOL, sounds like I've already made up my mind, but believe me, I haven't :">
  11. (*) only vote for this if you really don't have any views/tips/advice so no real votes are lost. I'm an un-employed Uni student (yes, I am trying to get a job around Uni) and currently have $1200 AU. Firstly to put the value into perspective/currencies, it's enough to buy a current "upgrade pack" of an AMD X2 3800+, a suitable midprice mobo like Gigabyte K8N Pro SLI, and an nVidia 7900GT. For a long time while I've been/still saving saying I'll use this as the upgrade fund for next year or whenver the comp gets too slow (so not the above parts); but recently I've been thinking about getting a new 20" Widescreen LCD for about $650 AU instead (so just over half), because unlike parts I can't imagine an LCD somehow slowing down and not being able to get the job done, thus, even though they lose value like all tech stuff, they lose it the slowest and in some cases it doesn't matter cos I'll never buy say a 24" (too big) display anyway. BUT, my 17" LCD is not doing a bad job at the moment either and I don't have any major beefs with it. At first I thought that was enough to settle it; since there's no need to change, but I dunno . Here are some of my convoluted thoughts: - by the time I need to upgrade parts I hopefully would've gotten a casual/part-time job, thus making up the spent part already. After buying the screen I still have enough for a cpu/mobo upgrade but I probably won't ever upgrade unless it's the full combo. - It's a brand new purchase $640 from eBay. Regular price from Dell is $999 and cheapest ever with the opening promotion is $677. Dell are sometimes negotiable so I might make them an offer of like $650 or $670 with some tweaks. It's predecessor 20" model never went below $800 so I'm sensing a rare bargain - even though I have no probs with my 17", it doesn't mean I won't enjoy the 20" Dell 2007WFP any less. - but then I could end up with it and somehow get bored with it and then find myself thinking I could've got this (whatever) instead. For instance my G15/G5 mouse; canes my old set but the unique gimmick wearing off - as you can tell, I am very indecisive/anxious about spending money at all heh, that's probably enough to work with. I think I'll go hide now  - feel free to call me weird/loner, etc too! NOTE: I don't have any other costs to save up for like bills, petrol, fees, etc.
  12. Whenever you uninstall/re-install drivers you should use "Driver Cleaner" - it'll make sure of a good clean driver install. Your CPU is relatively a little low but that's just a minor observation and I'm sure it should work fine anyway. Hey it says you have 512MB video memory...huh? Oh well at least you can still play some Pazaak for some stress relief " Weird...hope u get it working
  13. What laptop is it? If the model of laptop supports having a separate graphics card (like when you go "configure it" in the store or website) then you can probably have it upgraded. Hey at least you can play Pure Pazaak just fine "
  14. I count 20 of them...I think...close enough
  15. The link is there so it's not that bad Although yeah, it barely has to do with anything still "
  16. Onboard sound is completely fine for gaming and general stuff. The only time you need to upgrade would be if you had one of the really bad onboard ones. My one is good. (Intel HD/C-Media 9880)
  17. Was on a GeForce4 440 Go in Inspiron 8200. Now on desktop with Radeon X800XL
  18. yeh but come on, this over Bao Dur any time
  19. I voted for the most annoying/common glitch where I guess I could do was think sarcasticly "suprise suprise, look what's happened (again)". For me it was the quests. Some of them being broken and others you end up completing (or failing) without even knowing it. Also in my game the conversations with party members reset
  20. My tip is M4 to finish first, but for them both to be released at the similar times.
  21. Yep, this one did the trick (yay, learnt something new!) Thanks :D
  22. I want to tweak the FIFA 2006 World Cup Wallpaper but I need to start with a blank swirl without the logo: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/e/wp/logo.html Now I'm good at cutting and editing existing work but I can't create anything myself. I've heard you can get that swirl effect (and I've seen some wallpaper before with similar/same effect) with some automatic thing like a Photoshop command Anyone know how?
