  1. Is this a direct quote from George W. Bush?
  2. Not for a long time, no. Well, OK, but relatively speaking, that's not so much, and it's only major characters in plot-important dismemberments(?). It's not the day-in day-out carnage that the original poster seemed to me to be suggesting.
  3. Young people today... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bu...rts/4575291.stm
  4. Not just love, but forming stable family units for raising children, would be unlikely if we accept the Sith philosophy (and I doubt all Sith do). The Sith are a house of cards, if they ever won and had no more galaxy to conquer, they would just collapse into chaos.
  5. LS is easier because you're basically a good person. Also, your companions' comments and behaviour make more sense when you're LS. If you have high charisma, you can easily use Force Lightning when you're LS, as counter-intuitive as this seems. Surely the act of using DS powers should give you DS points?
  6. LucasArts QA was supposed to check Kotor 2 for bugs, but the game was incredibly buggy. It was also supposed to check the patch, but the patch caused as many news bugs as it fixed. Now the music/video patch has disappeared into a black hole, it's time to face facts. LucasArts QA does not exist. It's like the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny, a tale told to small children to make the world seem a safer and more organised place.
  7. I really think I could live without this. Plus, I don't think it fits with Star Wars, which is nice and cuddly and has remarkably little in the way of dismemberment given that the principle Jedi weapon seems ideal for the task.
  8. Bigger is good, of course, but only if the quality stays high. Kotor is already criticised for too many long, empty corridors, and I wouldn't want Kotor 3 to turn into a hack'n'slash game. Some of the planets in Kotor 2 could certainly have been more substantial though, Korriban in particular. You could have one larger location or two smaller locations - I would prefer the former, I think, but you could have a variety as well.
  9. I don't think so. Of course, you could be right, but I think the reappearance of Dantooine in Kotor 2 is more to do with saving effort to meet a tight deadline than anything else. Kotor 3 will have a new engine, and hopefully entirely new locations too. As for precisely where, it depends what kind of shape the Republic is in by that time. If the whole thing really does collapse, maybe the Core worlds will be interestingly chaotic after all.
  10. We had a Philips video, superior in its obscurity though nothing else. I'll get the first console they give away free with a game.
  11. All languages evolve naturally over time, but soemtimes the rate of change is too great. This has been a problem in Japan, where the influx of modern words (often derived from English) has altered the language so much that some seniors are unable to understand the newspapers, let alone talk to their grandchildren. Has the language gap grown too great in English as well? Are we losing important knowledge of our culture from older generations?
  12. That could be a fun game, but I don't think it's Kotor 3. We need some loose ends tying up, and badly.
  13. You may meet them on the planet, when you eventually get there, and more likely if you are DS. However, this is still bugged, I believe, so there's no guarantee you'll ever find them.
  14. There are similarities between Mandalorian war tactics and Walmart's business practices. A massive invasion, decimate the opposition, no regard to the interests of locals...
  15. I suppose I'd prefer to travel with Visas, as I could help build up her confidence and independence. I'm such a useless traveller, constantly getting lost or missing buses and planes, she'd get completely exasperated. I don't think 'My life for yours' would last very long, thank goodness.
  16. Sounds about right. Thinking of our favourite poster-boy for Jedi arrogance, I wonder who Vrook's lost love was. He really needs to get in touch with his emotions.
  17. This is why Westerns take place in the Wild West, not the safe East. Frontiers are interesting, dangerous, and in constant flux.
  18. Nice picture. Good to see Visas looking genuinely happy for once. Maybe she did find happiness after the Ravager after all.
  19. Like many others I see in the poll, I like the regular Jedi robes from Kotor 2. For a DS character, the blacker the better, so the Dark Jedi robes, also from Kotor 2.
  20. What's wrong with ABBA? If the quality of songs in Eurovision is low, look at the UK pop charts in recent years. Geri Halliwell, S Club Seven, Westlife... None of this year's Eurovision songs were actually painful to listen to. Well, not many.
  21. Typical short-sided approach to management relations. It's more likely to drive people to resentment and thus the dark side. Is there a union for Jedi? They really need to complain to the union rep.
  22. Well, if they have, they haven't told us about it. There's no news from Obsidian, there's just ... silence ...
