  1. Build an empire Two chicks at the same time
  2. I just saw 'The Snowman' on TV, as that is tradition on christmas morning. As always, you get that one moment of innocent feeling of childhood from christmas past. You know, that magic that you only felt as a kid and mostly forgotten as an adult. Now off to the parents for some christmas porridge.
  3. It would explain the clusterasterisk that was the DoD run moderate rebel recruitment program though, if they were deliberately sandbagging the effort. There's been a massive disparity between the DoD efforts and the CIA ones when it comes to Syria. True, but rumors say that they have been at odds with each other since Rumsfeld decided to play favourites a decade back.
  4. Why not take the middle route with your "friends"? //edit: who the **** eats pheasants? They are a pest here. They attack the reflection of the car, they run into living room windows and are generally just ****.
  5. What happened to "a similarity in core values is the foundation of community"? Sitting around and sniping so close before christmas? Tsk-tsk. You make it sound like you cannot have core values and similarities without having the same political leanings. Life doesn't work that way. The only exception is of course if you cannot queue. Trying to cut in line and you are forever my mortal enemy, i will hunt you down, i will find you, i will.end.you. Merry Christmas! Now time to read something topical, which describes Trump pretty well: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2016/01/the-great-republican-revolt/419118/
  6. I know that it is too intruiging to be true, but it is a fun read.
  7. Wise words from the Texan War Hound. Politicking is all fine and dandy and it might even get heated, but basing friendship upon it is superficial at best. If that were the case, i would've lost contact with my best friends a long time ago.
  8. Sooo, this Hersch guy posted this: https://twitter.com/LRB/status/678532062203133952 TL;DR-version: >In a nearly 7,000-word piece in the London Review of Books, Hersh says that the Joint Chiefs of Staff, America's top military leaders, decided to deliberately subvert American foreign policy and form a secret alliance with Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin. >As his source, Hersh cites one anonymous "former senior adviser" to the Joint Chiefs. >In summer 2013, the Joint Chiefs discovered that Turkey had "co-opted" the CIA's program to arm so-called "moderate" Syrian rebels. Ankara decided to redirect US aid to extremists, including Daesh and al-Qaeda affiliate Nusra Front, Hersh writes. >The Joint Chiefs also discovered that viable moderate Syrian rebels did not exist and that the opposition consisted nearly uniformly of extremists. >So, in the fall of 2013, the Joint Chiefs decided to start secretly "providing US intelligence to the militaries of other nations, on the understanding that it would be passed on to the Syrian army," Hersh writes. They sent US intelligence to Germany, Russia, and Israel, which sent it to Assad. >In summer 2013, the Joint Chiefs tricked the CIA into shipping obsolete weapons to Syrian rebels, Hersh writes. The journalist says this was intended as a show of good faith to Assad, to convince him to accept their offer. >The secret Joint Chiefs alliance with Putin and Assad, Hersh writes, ended this September when its chief architect, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey, retired. This reads better than the plot to Alpha Protocol
  9. I would say KotOR II is in order by the time the kids start to ask questions like "What is good? What is evil?" and such.
  10. The point i am trying to make is that intelligence alone will not cut it. Wisdom is required for the correct action, no matter how intelligent you are. Vonnegot's "Cat's Cradle" illustrates this dilemma quite well.
  11. In many countries, messing around with the genetical structure of your future unborn is a big taboo. In places like China however, i wouldn't be surprised if they instiutionalized the practice of maximising the potential IQ via several medical procedures during pregnancy. (Anyone else daydreaming about a cyperpunk future?)
  12. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/12061787/Intelligence-genes-discovered-by-scientists.html I wonder what countries with little moral scrouples, like China, will do with this discovery....discuss!
  13. Bah, why have manly middle aged men when you can have sensitive, troubled, edgy teenagers in their early thirties instead? I mean, just look at the guy. So passé, no real gentleman of this day would care about someone looking like that, and certainly the women would find him absolutely revolting. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
  14. Was there any explanation on why the First Order is trying to out-Nazi the Empire?
  15. They were certainly horrible for the Russians. Details, details.
  16. Russia and the US getting along? Those days were horrible, i tell you!
  17. KotOR did the same, but better IMO, while JJ Abrams simply crossed the line with too much of it, again IMO. My bigger gripe was with Rey, does her character have any faults at all? It was just boring. You mean the girl who kept bugging to go back to the desert planet because "she is waiting" for someone? Yeah, I'd say she has issues. She wouldn't even take the lightsaber. Sure, she was less whiny than Luke, but she has the same faults that he did. Maybe i have a higher personal bar for what constitutes as a hero's journey, but those mentioned are pretty much nothing. I am not saying that she would have to be exactly like Luke, but at least give me some suspense because i had none. That being said, it's still an ok movie.

  19. Just saw it. I feel....kinda cheated. It was .
  20. Remember me telling you that the H1-B visa program was a manufactured scam created by lobbyists? Well, an extended version of it, called H2-visa, also passed in the same bill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBqrWL3h9-g Indiscriminate spying and undercutting the american worker, what a time to be alive. The conversation between JC Denton and Morpheus becomes very eerie by now:
  21. Meshugger you dont care what people think of you ...be honest. Part of the reason you wouldn't vote for Clinton is that she is a women? Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. I know that you want to start a ruse, and honestly and with cherry on top: I do not care about her having a fee-fee or not.
  22. I usually vote for people i find virtous, knowledgeable, honest and refuse to take a bribe. I can accept that some have more fallacies than others, but still have some of those characteristics previously mentioned. Hillary has none of those mentioned. I would vote for Volvo if i was an American citizen in this election.
  23. Yeah, only a poorly thought-out post that you composed in less than five minutes cannot really compare to a mural and even in this day and age would not be considered art by anyone. Feel free to go draw up a rape scene involving refugees on the side of the town hall, though. And hey: if you care so much about the victims of such rapes, why aren't you devoting every single free second of your time to help rape victims? There are volunteer organizations for this as well as career choices you can make to help people, you know. (see what I did there?) But it isn't about people at all, but rather your own issues, yes? Maybe get help? It's clear that venting is just not doing the trick. Good luck. I appriciate your concern, but i am already a member of such organisation that actively help people and donate my own money monthly. These "artists" piss me off like no other since they are the most vocal while doing the least. Previously, at least they managed to raise a debate with some insight, but now they are just dumb. I dont know Meshugger but 2133 makes a good point here. Can I give you some advice that I learnt about living in South Africa. its much better to just say " I dont want thousands of Syrian Muslims immigrating to Finland because we have such different cultures " ...you don't even need to justify it because there is no country in the world that would be fine with it under the circumstances unless you prepare to accept them like Germany or like Sweden you really believe in the social aspect But what you are doing, or rather what it probably seems for others, is finding actually irrelevant or contradictory reasons that come across as you being racist ot bigoted. Now you shouldn't have to feel like that but if you take what 2133 is saying he is right yet I know thats not what you are really saying Its funny but living in the West sometimes we feel because of our past we can''t ever say " no I would prefer only limited migrants " as that would seem racist. It's just because you're close-minded. One can have altruism for others, while still wishing the best of your own people. It is possible But you must realize thats not how you coming across ...hence the reason people like alum and 2133 challenge you on some things So? Even if it gets heated, it is a debate afterall. Ideas exchanged, etc, etc. It would be quite worse if we all just got along, yuck!
