  1. It's great to see that Obsidian have taken the 'better endings'-issue seriously. A long game(40h+) needs a long and fulfilling ending.
  2. Dark Lord Joe of the Sixpack.
  3. That question will not be answered until the first reviews will show up.
  4. Blood will follow blooooood! Dy-ing time is heeeere! *Damage Incorporated* Say what? i wasn't paying attention.
  5. "The story in this game will be better than the first one" - Chris Avellone Whoa, that was bold statement.
  6. What exactly does this mean? I for one would love to see a female Sith Lord. It would be original, is long overdue, and after all (and I'm not trying to sound pompous or like an a-hole or anything like that) who could play evil better than a woman? Think about it. Her greatest strengths would have to be her cunning, her charisma, her manipulation and her ability to devise strategy. She wouldn't be as physically strong as her male counterparts, which is why she would have a very strong will and a really high intelligence. And since we men tend to be kinda weakminded when it comes to women anyway, her sensuality would be a damn near insurmountable weapon. Unless of course the guy is gay, but that's a discussion for a whole new thread. I guess the biggest proof of this argument came in the first KOTOR. All the times I played that game (more than I wish to admit) I mostly played as female because it was more interesting. And playing a DS female was the only way you could lure Carth into a relationship with you, turn that love against him, and then kill him when he refused to join you. There was no way to kill Carth as a male. As far as I know. Not bad at all, sounds like pretty ok idea to me.
  7. You mean as annoying little people with hairy feet? Heh. Seriously though, your role would be significant to the story but you wouldn't be in best and biggest battles, leave that to the old Jedi vs. Sith.
  8. I think he can probly just say that there unoffical, and then they wouldn't be true I think. I'm not sure, why couldn't he? Because the whole idea sounds horrible.
  9. We'll have a better idea after we play TSL. Hopefully
  10. Why? If it's a party based RPG, what is wrong with the main character not being a Jedi? There can still be Jedis in the remainder of your party. It's like only playing as magic casters in D&D CRPGs as your main character. Variety is good. Besides, wouldn't you want to try to play a Jango Fett like bounty hunter who could take on Jedis by himself? Not entirely impossible, but there should be a very strong and good story behind it though. Running around being a bountyhunter and smuggling just to get more credits sounds indeed a bit boring. Maybe if the game portraits you the same way as the hobbits did in Lord of the Rings...
  11. Indeed, and that's why i doubt if we will even see a third KotOR game.
  12. Are these stories approved by Lucasarts? If true, sheeeeesh......
  13. How about 'Darth X' for your own idle curiousity.
  14. Episodes 7,8,9 should never see the light of the day.
  15. I happen to own both the PC- and the xbox-version of KotOR, and while the graphics are considerably better on the PC, it's almost fubar compared to the xbox. When playing on the xbox, (connected to my reciever with dolby digital decoding) the panning between the speakers is what it should be. Blaster shots sounds like they're come from the back of my head straight into the tv, the wind blows from the left to the right and when people are walking behind me, the sounds of footsteps can be heard from the back, the audio experience is nearly the same quality of a dvd-movie. On the PC, on the other hand, i experience nothing like that, no echoes, the reverb is almost non-existant, and the panning is only working through the front speakers, while the rear speakers only seem to be mirroring the front speakers. One should notice that i also have a 5.1 set of speakers(with dolby digital decoding) connected through the S/PDIF to my nForce2 motherboard with dolby digital encoding enabled. The results are the same no matter what driver i use. To sum it all up, i hope that Obsidian takes this in considerment to the PC users without being forced to buy a Creative soundcard.
  16. oh..oh..Do you get to play a Jedi Sedai? I want to play as a lightsaber Wraith. One Darth to rule them all and in the darkside of the force bind them. Sure, and there will be lots of trolloc troopers too
  17. I use this forum exclusively.
  18. Indeed, let's leave that to the System Shock-series.
  19. You got a point there. Star Wars has never emphazised on technology as much as Star Trek, i suppose.
  20. Indeed he told something like that, anyone know of a Star Wars encyclopedia of WMD that can varify Canderous story?
  21. Opeth is the best thing that happened to music since Pink Floyd! Boy, this thread's gone off-topic...
  22. Stop being clueless about the capabilities of the xbox and PC people, the whole hood on/off is more likely an engine/design issue than hardware-restrictions.
