  1. I want a Dark Jedi apprentice. Beyond that, not really....at least not until I rule an Empire.
  2. Damn. Who else can I find to score me some KOTOR 2?
  3. The Red haired girl appears in the E3 video footage we've seen so far. And I seem to remember a preview stating that your decisions about Revan's Light Side/Dark Side choices would influence whether certain people show up in game. Thus, most of the cameos could still work.
  4. In KOTOR, they didn't, which (with the uselessness of most skills) made Intelligence rather a wasted attribute. Do you think they should stick with the KOTOR method, or go back to the traditional Black Isle approach of Intelligence and Wisdom effecting your dialogue options?
  5. Powergaming in KOTOR is like cheating on a second grade Math test.
  6. Well, it is Star Wars. The Sith and Republic both, presumably, have massive armies battling across the Galaxy.... That being said, it would be nice, but it ain't gonna happen.
  7. You assume correctly. I always play Korriban after the Leviathan, too....if only because I don't like the idea of going to all that work converting Yuthura only to have her get blown to chunky giblets by the Sith. But if you do Korriban as your first or second planet, you can fly to Dantooine and she'll be there. Same with that Kel Algwinn guy.
  8. Yeah, but that only holds up as an explanation so far. When my character was laughing and cheering as the Sandrals and Matales slaughtered each other, right in front of Bastila, I think the council would have been a little more wary about sending me off to find the Star Forge, no matter how desperate they were.
  9. Seconded. Yuthura Ban was a great character. I also second the part about Korriban. Put simply, Korriban is the best part of the game; the more areas that are inspired by it in TSL, the better.
  10. Some people downright cheat to get max DS points in Taris, you can never get enough points for the whole "zombie look" until after the training. Kinda sorta true. Doing every Dark Side act imaginable, I was very, very veiny and pale when I first encountered the Jedi masters. I hadn't reached the maximum 'zombie' look, but I was getting there, and it showed.
  11. In KOTOR, playing the Dark Side felt like everyone else was following a script and you were the idiot mucking everything up by adding in your improvised lines. "I know we can't get information by torturing you, but even the greatest of heroes has a hard time watching their loved ones in pain! Every time you fail to answer a question, Bastila will suffer!" "Who cares? I never liked her anyway." "Ah HA! Trying to fool me by pretending you don't like her. Well, you can't trick me!" "No, seriously. I hate her guts. And I'm not a Hero; I've been killing people left and right just for sick thrills ever since Taris. Torture her all you like; in fact, once you're done, let me have a turn." "ENOUGH! I will torture Bastila, and you will feel bad and answer questions! It's in the script, dammit!" There are incidents like this scattered all through the game, truly ackward moments that give the impression that the Dark Side was an afterthought. Given the storyline, this is understandable.....but now that our character is no longer enslaved to the Republic and the Jedi, might the good people at Obsidian consider having characters respond appropriately when you've been acting like a Sith the entire game and dress in solid black robes with a red lightsaber and chalk white skin?
  12. Yeah, I was about to say something to that effect, too. People are thinking too much along the lines of KOTOR....
  13. First character: Male Light side Consular, upgrading to Jedi Master at higher levels. I developed a taste for Force powers over Lightsabers in the first game, and I'll continue that tradition going into the second.
  14. Everything that was cool about Bobba Fett died the moment Lucas did that lame-ass Father-Son thing in Episode II.
  15. Remember, even though KOTOR is based on the D20 game, it doesn't model it exactly. Therefore, if translated to KOTOR terms, Yoda and Vader might be of a significantly higher level. Or at least that's how I rationalize it.
  16. For my Sith Guardian: Dual-wielded lightsabers, the main one glowing orangish-red with the Heart of the Guardian, the shorter one glowing tealish-blue with the Mantle of the Force. Combine with Revan's robe and the guy with the goatee and little scar beneath his eye.
  17. So did Master Uthar, if you sided with him instead.
  18. Considering by the end of KOTOR you were an unstoppable engine of destruction.....yes, I can see why they made that choice.
  19. No. I've never understood the Cult of Fett, and I never will.
  20. My thoughts. - I LOVE the idea that this is going to be 'darker' than the original. LOVE it with every fiber of my wizened little black heart. - The graphics? Eh. I like the fact that the character runs properly now rather than doing that wussy little jog. Otherwise, though, nothing astoundingly improved upon from the original.....which is good, since I don't care about graphics, for the most part. - I really, really like the idea that you can customize your Revan from the first game for KOTOR II. The more in-depth they do this (choosing the face, choosing the gender, choosing Light or Dark, whether they had romances active, and so on and so forth) the more I'll love it. - I'm very disappointed to hear that KOTOR II won't be significantly longer than the original. The original had to come up with an entirely new game from whole cloth; since the KOTOR II team isn't facing that obstacle, I was really hoping that would mean an immense boost in content. - I have mixed feelings about the music. On the one hand, I think Jeremy Soule is overrated; he does some good music here and there, but usually it's rather uninspired, so seeing him go doesn't break my heart. On the other hand, I've never even heard of the guy who is the replacement. I'll wait to hear it before I judge whether it was the right decision. - I'm actually more confident now that the game is being made by Obsidian rather than Bioware. Bioware is a good company, but they have some recurring flaws in their games that make me want to strangle their writers. No such worries with the Torment folks at the helm....or so I hope.
  21. Agreed Agreed. As an example, it would be cool to go back to the Swoop Bike storage area and see Canderous tinkering away at it. Or Carth sitting in the front of the ship, T3 making minor repairs to HK-47, Mission practicing her Pazaak skills.....nifty, immersive stuff like that.
  22. sheesh, i hope not. no sense in wasting time here then, right? Well, I don't know. There are still people debating stuff over in the Bioware KOTOR forums....even though it's pretty clear the Bioware folks have moved on to other things. Sometimes a debate is just a debate.
