Contradicting statements?
Ivan the Terrible replied to random evil guy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Seeing as how we have multiple Sith lords, you may be on to something here. We'll know if we get attacked by a Dark Jedi in a schoolgirl outfit. -
Once, at the Tatooine Cantina. You know that obnoxious Czerka guy who is whining about how Tatooine has 'garbage ore, good for nothing. My name is mud in three systems now!' If you take the route of, 'I don't like your tone', you eventually get to a part where you can say 'You WILL show me respect! (Use Force choke)' It's great. You don't kill him, unfortunately, but it says he avoids your eyes when you let him go and keeps silent.

Specifically, things like Force Choke. Force Persuade, obviously, showed up quite often....but there was only about one or two instances in KOTOR where you could show off your Darth Vader impersonation and choke someone in conversation who was displeasing you. I wanna force choke people, dammit! I wanna see the fear in their eyes as they writhe helplessly in the grasp of my power, their throat slowly constricting as they desperately, silently plead for mercy! The only time I remember you being able to do that in conversation in KOTOR was at the Tatooine Cantina to some low-life Czerka flunky.

CHEAT CODES - voice your opinion
Ivan the Terrible replied to xtrazx75's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
http://home.t-online.de/home/Talchia/english.html http://www.sith-res.tk/ These are the only two I know of, personally. And btw, I'm a bit perplexed by the idea that someone would be opposed to having cheat codes in game. If you don't want to use 'em, don't use 'em. With KOTOR, I've never had to nor felt the desire to use them, but I see no reason to be upset by their presence. To each their own and all that. -
Mark Grisky's music

I think you're probably going to be pretty much alone on this one. Great music can turn a good game into a classic, IMHO. -
Mark Grisky's music

Looks like his primary credits are those awful Episode I tie-in games that Lucasarts threw out at almost exactly the same time the movie was released. Except for Gladius, which I've never even heard of. Long story short: I think we'll have to wait awhile before we find anyone who's played these games. -
What could go wrong....

Feargus's secret dealings with the Mafia could go wrong and the entire design team could be taken out a liquidated as reprisal. -

Someone could lob a Molotov c0cktail into their offices during the middle of the day. Boom. -
THIS WILL BE THE BEST GAME EVER !!!!!
Ivan the Terrible replied to sithlord89's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's been my experience that people who say something will be 'THE BEST GAME EVER' are the first to be pissed off when it turns out it isn't. I'm wagering it will be very, very good by the development team and the setting, but let's hold off on the 'BEST GAME EVER' comments until we've played it. -
Small suggestion to the Devs
Ivan the Terrible replied to Shdy314's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, you remember it correctly....but the 'freezing' was incredibly cheesy, and if you were helpless it made no sense why Malak wouldn't just cut you down right then and there before running all the way down the hall towards Bastila. -

Even better, they should have made him so overpowering that he just womps on you without batting an eye, and then when your health bar got too low, that's when she steps in. Making it dependent on when he is wounded just makes you think, 'You dumb b*tch! I WAS JUST ABOUT TO KILL HIM!' -
Small suggestion to the Devs

Seconded. I was handling Malak quite well. Couldn't she have just shut the hell up and kept back for a few seconds? Of course, they had similiar scenes in BG2; Bodhi was a joke with any kind of negative plane protection, from the first time you fight her until the last, while Irenicus was getting pretty well stomped before he ran away from the Asylum. -
Wait a second....

Think that's the big problem to this line of thought. The Revan of KOTOR is almost an entirely new person; how would someone who didn't meet him/her during the KOTOR period know whether he/she would go light/dark? -
.....if your character has been in exile, then how is he/she supposed to be able to tell Krea (the white-haired Jedi chick) what Revan did in the first game? I wonder if, as a Jedi who knew Revan, it will have you describe the Revan you knew to her? That might be interesting....

If they're counting the tutorial level as a 'world', some ass needs to be kicked. -

Looks like we have a name for Ms. White-hair: 'Krea.'
