He was also one of the most throw-away, wasted characters in Star Wars. He coulda been a contenda, as they say....but George Lucas has all the writing talent of a lobotomized AD&D novelist and turned him into a pale shadow of Vader's coolness.

Since we keep hearing about how KOTORII will be 'darker' (persistent references to Empire Strikes Back, thank god), I'd wager the prequels will have very little role in the game. Old school, baby.

Yes and yes. And Mara Jade is a character from the Star Wars novels; she's one of the Emperor's personal assassins, or 'Emperor's Hands', trained in the Dark Side with her last mission being to eliminate Luke Skywalker. It gets complicated from there, but suffice it to say she eventually ends up marrying him instead.

I like starting out Light Side, thus making the story make sense, before being so overcome with the revelation about my true background that I fall to the Dark Side on Korriban. It just feels too ridiculous when I'm a Dark Sider, have veins popping up all over my forehead, and the Jedi council STILL sends me on the quest.

Yep. There are more people who DEMAND a Romance in KOTOR than there are people indifferent and against it combined.

Depends on the class. Consular - One sabre, 'cause I don't care too much about it. Guardian - One in each hand, blue and red, later on switching to the Heart of the Guardian and Mantle of the Force. Either way, I look really cool with duel-wielded blue and red sabers in Darth Revan's robes.

A lot of people don't like the Bioware romances of BGII and KOTOR. 'I'd rather not deal with a bunch of cheesy PG-rated romantic cliches', they say. Of course, a large number of people really like the 'romances', even making them one of the central selling points of the game. So let's see what the proportion is. Are you interested enough in 'romances' that you would be annoyed if there weren't any in KOTORII? Are they a nice little feature about which you mostly couldn't care less? Would you take outright glee at seeing 'romances' excised from the game?

Will characters in KOTORII do a better job of reacting to your Light Side/Dark Side level? For example, if I'm talking before the Jedi council or a Republic soldier or whoever in my pitch black Sith robe and my face is white as chalk with veins running across it, will they still treat me like a Jedi?

I really like Emperor Palpatine; I just have to admire a man who was able to trick the entire Galaxy and seize personal power. Smart, and I'd guess one of the most powerful Sith of all time, if not the most powerful. Nevertheless, we see so comparitively little of him that the sheer black-armored coolness of Vader trumps him. I voted Darth Vader.

1. It went black because having the character models from KOTOR do anything in conversation except flap their lips and do a handful of emotes would have taken extra work. It had nothing to do with making it PG. 2. Different lightsaber handles = good idea.

Would make an interesting mini-game....but the chances of seeing it in KOTORII are precisely nil.
