  1. In a game this (comparitively) easy, my primary concern was style over substance....and it felt kinda lame to be a Jedi and not wear the robes.
  2. I still didn't know you could save him.......how???? Case in point... You just have to fight it out when the MIBs and UNATCO Troopers start raiding the apartment. The key to saving him is to exit the Hotel by the FRONT entrance rather than the window. Liberal use of LAMs on the approach to the apartment = the battle pretty much over before it begins. Having saved him, he'll appear alive in the medical facility of the MJ12 compound when you're captured, after which he'll appear at Tracer Tong's place when you've finished Hong Kong. He'll also communicate with you a bit at Area 51. Otherwise, saving him or leaving him to die has little effect.
  3. Much better, but still off-putting. Can you do anything to make her eyes look more....well, normal? She still looks kinda bug-eyed.
  4. You need Jolee in the party. She's right in the area around the Manaan court and the Cantina. If you don't have Jolee in the party, she won't appear. It's possible she also doesn't appear after you complete Manaan. I don't know; I've never tried to finish the quest after finding the Star Map. You should keep trying for it if you ever play KOTOR again; it's practically the only quest in the game that doesn't have a black-or-white, good-or-evil solution.
  5. A man can accomplish a lot with Google image search, if he knows the right key words. In the case of the above two pictures, those key words would be 'Michael Jackson' and 'Ugly' respectively.
  6. You want them to bundle a graphics card with a computer game?
  7. Then why didn't he? He was of age during the Vietnam War, and he instead joined the National Guard and stayed home.
  8. I'll go 75%. She has a 100% chance of surviving if you go Dark Side, and a 50% chance of surviving if you go Light Side. So I pick the median between the two.
  9. Exactly. The irony being missed by some is that she isn't supposed to be a hideous man-thing; she's supposed to be 'easy on the eyes', the very description beneath her picture says so. I'm sorry, but that thing is about as easy on the eyes as a ginsu knife.
  10. On the plus side, at least Obsidian is breaking the bull dyke barrier. They're paving the way for a future of hideous love interests, where we can learn to appreciate the inner Mira and not focus so much on her man-chin, gigantic lips, and freakishly spaced eyes. Ladies and Gentlemen....the future of CRPG love interests is NOW.
  11. - Love the OT, even (for all its faults) Return of the Jedi. Alongside Raiders of the Lost Ark, the best kind of popcorn cinema and the ideal to which other, similiar films should strive. - Never got into the EU. I read the first of the Admiral Thrawn novels years and years ago, but never went any farther. Other than that, have read no Star Wars novels or anything. - Own numerous sourcebooks for the old PNP Star Wars game (that is, the one prior to D20.) From what I've seen of D20, the old game did a better job, but I own only one D20 sourcebook (The Dark Side Sourcebook, bought when I was in a real Star Wars mood following the end of KOTOR.) - The Prequels = incredibly disappointing. I'd rather have an enema with battery acid than watch those Episode II 'love' scenes again. Both of them are monuments to hubris, and the ego of a man who doesn't realize he can't write a script to save his life. - Favorite Star Wars game prior to KOTOR: TIE Fighter. I've never been able to play a Star Wars game since without making unfortunate comparisons about how the 'bad guys' are portrayed; TIE Fighter made a solid, interesting case for the Empire over the Rebellion, and I ate it up.
  12. Hey, man! Haven't you seen Return of the Jedi? She was a FORCE GHOST! Back in these earlier times, Force Ghosts didn't have the kind of knowledge of the Force necessary to make themselves all see-through and blue and stuff, so she appeared just like she did when she wasn't dead.
  13. Given that Hamill hasn't worked on a Star Wars project since the early 1980's, I'll wager he won't start anytime soon.
  14. You mean Revan's new identity's home planet. It's entirely possible Revan has never even seen Deralia.
  15. Plausible in Fallout 2....but in a game with voice-overs? No way in hell. I kinda miss the old days when every line of text didn't have to be spoken, even if in Alien gibberish....
  16. But accurate. She is NOT attractive.
  17. I really do hope that romances in this game is really non-linear. Meaning that you aren't just limited to have a romance with one character. Like in KOTOR for a male we can only be with Bastila and for a female you can only be with Carth. In KOTOR 2 if I'm a male, I want a choice. Cause I mean....Mira does seem somewhat hot but I bet she isn't the female that we can have a romance with. Speaking as a heterosexual male, I think I would prefer the gay romance option over that square-jawed hermaphrodite.
  18. Any chance of seeing Battle Meditation effect large-scale battles in TSL? Probably not, but you never know....
  19. Actually, for some reason, her picture conjured up thoughts of another celeb. Don't ask me why. Maybe it's the way the eyes are spaced?
  20. What the hell is it with Obsidian/Black Isle games and Man-Chins? Is Mira another transvestite, like Annah? And why does a Bounty Hunter need to have a Collagen injection? The whole 'Pacifist' bounty hunter thing is a nice touch, but I wonder if there will be any difference in practice between a 'knocked out' enemy and a dead one?
  21. God, I love The Shining.
  22. You think correctly. Their father 'corrected' them. "Come and play with us, Danny. For ever...and ever....and ever...."
  23. Depends on the species. I'm sure there are some sentient races that can become Jedi that might very well be considered delicacies by humans.
  24. Before going to mounts, how about first making planets that consist of more than three areas? Honestly, I don't need a horse to go from my kitchen to my living room.
