Never expected one.

Do you really think Obsidian is going to introduce an entire system for choosing a character's face (that is, Revan's face) just so it'll match up with what Revan looked like to you? It would be a nice touch....but it would be far simpler to either keep him/her safely behind a mask, or just kill him/her, removing the possibility that their Revan contradicts your Revan on any level. Do you follow me now?

Facial Deterioration
Ivan the Terrible replied to Sabahattin Dere's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
True, but that doesn't fit with the universe this takes place in. Evil dresses in black and is ugly, and by now the principle that the Dark Side disfigures is pretty much ingrained in the Star Wars mythos. -
Honestly, I know it's the easy way out, but keee-rist almighty if it's also the most predictable and lamest. I hate the idea of going through all that work in KOTOR just to have my main character bumped off as a plot inconvenience in the sequel. Keep him behind a mask, have us see him at a distance, whatever.....Just don't take the wimpy way out and kill him. I know it's already too late to effect this one way or another, so if you have in fact killed Revan, let me place this as my pre-release howl of anger and annoyance, and know that I wish the person who made that design decision will spend the afterlife swimming in the dung of a thousand camels. Thank you.

My guess: in the event of a DS ending of KOTOR, the Sith Lords of KOTOR II took advantage of the chaos following Malak's overthrow to try and usurp Revan; with a massive fleet already in existence, they launched an attack on the Star Forge, hoping to catch Revan on it and destroy his base of power at the same time, resulting in the destruction of the Star Forge and Revan's hasty escape and exile to the Outer Rim or wherever he is. There can't be too many differences between the LS and DS games of KOTOR II; they can't make two completely different games based on your choices in the first.

Strong hints that more than T3-M4....
Ivan the Terrible replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
VERY small possibility. Using an escape pod, he crash-lands on the Unknown Planet; as in, right next to the greatest concentration of Sith in the Galaxy. His chances of escaping are pretty bleak, even if he didn't have the cojones to go down with the ship along with the Admiral. -

About time someone voted for Vandar. Honestly, I thought there would be a bit more enthusiasm for having a Yoda rip-off in your party. -
Should Characters Return At All?

They never said HK-47. They said an HK-47-like droid. -
Should Characters Return At All?
Ivan the Terrible replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yep, they should. At least as cameos. One of the most disappointing parts of KOTOR was that there was no epilogue, so I'm glad KOTOR II will, at times and in moderation, act as our epilogue of the first game. -
Star Wars Timeframe
Ivan the Terrible replied to anari_quun's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Star Wars Galaxy is Science Fiction only in the loosest sense; there is no real science to speak of. Honestly, it's more like Fantasy with Science Fiction trappings. If you try to make sense of it scientifically, or delve deeply into the political, moral, or technological situation and compare it to our own, you're inevitably going to find that many, many, many things just don't add up. But they aren't supposed to add up. This isn't an in-depth universe, no matter what people pretend; it's Space Opera and a universe entirely created as a backdrop for action-adventure. As such, trying to compare the advance/decline of technology to our own is a bit of a waste of time. We also don't have galaxy-spanning Republics which last for 20,000 years; in fact, such an entity would become either completely fractured or totally despotic very quickly. If multi-national Empires on Earth fragment and collapse due to difference of opinion and loyalty to one's group over the whole, can you imagine what would happen to one that rules every species in the Galaxy? But that doesn't matter. It's Star Wars, not Political Science. Stop giving yourself a headache and just go with the flow. -
First impressions
Ivan the Terrible replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Atton - The gay Han Solo. Mira - Hermaphrodite. Kreia - Scary old woman with no eyes. White-Haired Chick - Dig the white hair look; reminds me a lot of Bastila, and I bet she has a British accent. -

Wow. Poor Master Vandar; nobody loves him. -

I knew I forgot someone. There were only ten slots, so I had to pick and choose; I had the feeling I was missing an important character (other than Juhani).... -

My logic, too. I wager heavily we will see the Candyman once more. Though, again, he was Level 20 when KOTOR finished up, so unless they do something lame he'll probably be too overpowered to show up as a party member until really late in the game. -

True. But at least he survives. -
http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/529/529200p1.html So who do you think will make a return? Now, of course, there is no mention of whether any of the characters from the last game who can 'join the party' were party characters in KOTOR.....and personally I'd be highly suspicious of it considering that they were all at about Level 20 by the end of the first game. So I listed both party characters and non-party characters from KOTOR; I presume only the most distinct characters will be making an appearance (I doubt many people will be overwhelmed with joy to see Hendar join their party.) Also, a number of characters in the above list could be killed: the only folks who survived no matter what in the list above were Canderous and HK-47, which makes them much more likely.

I think we can pretty much rest assured that at least the name is accurate. See any one of Akari's posts above.
