  1. I hated Star Craft 2's campaign(s). Not the gameplay, mind you, but the endless retcons, the character assassinations, the ludicrous storyline and cashing in on a highly popular franchise* by releasing a single game's worth of content in three full-priced installments. *Man, now that I spelled it out, I realize that all of that also applies to the new Star Wars Trilogy.
  2. So apparently america threatened the pope, lol. https://www.thelettersfromleo.com/p/the-pentagon-threatened-pope-leo Pure madness.
  3. I got so tired of the "And then Zeratul appears and progresses the story".
  4. This thread is certainly a blast from the past. The golden age.
  5. One doesn't exclude the other. I.e. it doesn't contracidct what I said, I just focused on the motivations of the two main actors (I did notice the objections from the US military, presumably they are better educated in the realities of the world). Two crooks who wants to stay out of jail. One is smart but has limited military capacity. The other is dumb but has plenty of military capacity. A match made in heaven. Both Putin and Netanyahu consider Trump a mental midget, easily manipulated, a tool you can make do your bidding, if you word it correctly.
  6. I finally started the Protoss campaign in Starcraft 2. Am actually having fun. Also trying the co-op mode I never knew existed.
  7. I really liked the Beatles when I was 12-20. I mean, it was the late 70's/80's, they were still a cultural thing or something, in many circles. White Album was probably my favorite, but I no longer listen to them now/for years. I think they are more remembered because of the influences they had on popular/radio US music and youth culture for a long time, just like Elvis, or whoever else. They've become more emotional myth than reality, even if some of their records/songs were actually very good. In today's social media culture, it's just like the notion that "movie stars are dead" - it's all too spread apart. Every person in a group of100 ppl may have 20 favorite bands that the other 99 have never heard of. Over-rated just means you personally don't like them/dont' get the fuss. Nothing wrong with that. I mean, at this point in my life, in some ways I think Robert DeNiro/Al Pacino/others are over-rated. They made some great movies/had some great roles, that I very much enjoyed, but still over-rated in movie-history.
  8. Got a Husky. Don't use it much, since they don't leap onto my shoulder. Or stand on hindlegs, or shake paws, or anything. But doggos are quieter. "Cat, help me." "Meow, no you help me." I've figured out why the wind/trees have super strong wind dynamics. It's so characters hair will fly around beautifully! Not so obvious here, but some of the longhaired witch's hair movement is awesome. Wasn't at all into Kliff's looks until they put in the "don't show helmet" feature, and suddenly in the wind he's kinda generic-stoic handsome, and it's mainly the hair movement. :P I don't know what weapon this guy is using, but I want it. All they dropped was the fuel tanks tho. :/
  9. It is a long standing issue that WoW is rough for a new or returning player, the game has over 20 years under its belt granted. They've streamlined it a lot but it's still messy if you don't know the backstory to Jaina or Nozdormu or whatever.
  10. Well, tbh, I skimmed over the video and still don't really know what kind of game this is. Would probably help to show actual gameplay.
  11. checking out Starfield update, you can launch ICBM
  12. Well, tis being an odd mixture of times for me. After two years and 1 month since my father passed, we finally wrapped up the estate, sold the family house. My life is pretty much now in a 100 sq ft storage unit, and I'm renting a room while I do the hunt for my first house. Having a little debate on the potential for putting up insulated / powered summerhouse/workshop in the garden of wherever I end up buying. Once that's done.. slowly unpack and figure out where my life is going. Also doing that slight mental replay where one of my closest friends just killed our 15 odd-year friendship and I have no idea what actually happened or drove them to that decision. So that's a little odd. Still, adapting and figuring it out. I guess now I'm not having to deal with all the things on my evenings and weekends, I can possibly start catching up on books and computer games and tv shows and wotnot....
  13. TLDW: a new proposed animated Firefly series, most of the surviving original actors as VA's (including Adam Baldwin, who was not at the announcement panel). Set after Season1, before film Serenity. Fillion doing some writing. Whedon not involved. Still in development/does not yet have a distributor (they're shopping around for one now). I'd prefer live-action but animation is the only way to get Wash back I guess (actors got old, like me, after all). Can hope it doesn't turn into another pipe dream.
  14. I’d love to take part, I’ll start getting my writings down into a comprehensive format, now!
  15. In short, a newspaper quote confirming what I suspected (not that I would take a single reference as an authority on the whole truth). Mango Mussolini is just Netanyahus sock puppet and easily manipulated if you know which buttons to push ... and they both have an interest in creating chaos and conflict (to distract from corruption charges and the Epstein files respectively)
