  1. So I take it, starting the 24th, I'll be all alone in the forum because everyone else is playing this at launch, right?

  4. The Principi choice and what I sense about the "vibes" of this character seem to cry for one handed Scordeo's Trophy and one handed Scordeo's Edge. Could also do both in a dual wielding setup but: - both weapons' special enchantments profit from going one handed - it's likely a weapon style you've never tried before - pistols are usually better one handed + modal compared to dual wielding (except with full attacks) - very piratey vibes imo. You need one free hand to swing on ropes and stuff like that. Scordeo's Trophy can add stacks of either pure melee only recovery buffs (bigger effect per stack) or half of that as universal recovery buff. I personally would go with universal. It profits the shooting/reloading, too as well as the casting. Scordeo's Trophy has Blade Cascade obviously (skip recovery for 5 secs base). As well as the fantastic "Adaptive" (up to +20 universal accuracy, stacks with everything). As a Ranger you can get Gunner and Driving Flight, which in combination with Scordeo's Trophy and the modal (-50% reloading time) allows to build up universal recovery stacks pretty quickly from range, then use that for fast casting or going into melee with fast recovery already, allowing to proc Blade Cascade and Adaptive quickly, granting 0 recovery speed and high accuracy which in turn can again be used for casting. One handed is (in this case) a nice thing because you will attack with the weapon that procs the desired effect more often, build up the stacks more quickly. It is a little drawback for wounding shots and other full attacks, I think it's worth it. As second class I would use a Cipher. The Ciphers has several spells with fast casting time but normal or long recovery. Those profit a lot from reduced or even removed universal recovery time. The best choice would be Ascendant, because once ascended with little or no recovery you can spam a truckload of those fast cast spells with high accuracy. Ranger/Ciphers has the highest potential accuracy to begin with. Adding "Adaptive" (and one handed use in melee) leads to extreme accuracy. This also counters the main problem (for me) with Ciphers: they usually drop the ball a bit in boss fights because they cannot generate enough focus due to higher defenses/AR of the enemies. Very high accuracy can prevent that problem. Beguiler would also be good imo. Alternative would be Black Jacket to skip switching recovery entirely. But - as you said - for me personally that would be too boring of a playstyle for my MC. It limits the options to shooting and slashing which is fine for a companion imo but gets a bit repetitive for my main character. I'm willing to have a bit switching recovery but get spells and potentially limitless resources (focus) in return. For the Ranger subclass I think Ghost Heart (doesn't clash with summons because Cipher has none and is good for a very mobile playstyle). It's pretty cool to use Evasive Roll to go into melee distance, drop the animal companion right behind the target and get instant flanking and the accuracy bonus from Stalker's Link. With other subclasses the animal companion has to run across the battle field a lot in order to attack/flank enemies for you - and that usually takes longer than summoning it or is sometimes impossible. There's plenty of nice pistols and sabres on the way, so the feeling of (gear) progression should be there. Scordeo's Trophy can be picked up fairly early, Scordeo's Edge takes longer. Thundercrack Pistol with high accuracy and speed is also excellent. You might be able to paralyze-lock single (or two) enemies with it. Eccea's Arcane Blaster for everything that has crazy AR (hello Steelclads and friends). For armor I would maybe use Miscreant's Leathers (it just fits). Acina's Tricorn also fits theme and build beautifully imo, even Serafen's gifted hat (Fair Favor) works. And that would be my approach I think.

  5. Ranger/Beguiler with Veilpiercer is what will gonna satisfy you. Backup weapons: You can start with Kitchen Stove thunderous report. Essence intrupter as second weapon very good.

  6. I bought a portrait lens by mistake, clicked the wrong thing. I meant to get a wide angle prime and now instead of returning it, I've kind of gone into a rabbit hole of minimalist framing. It's interesting, in a ship in a bottle kind of way. https://imgur.com/Uf9Hc9q Don't you dare stop holding hands, you're not in focus yet. ****ing **** https://imgur.com/a/8Mqgym8

  7. our disappointment in fellow americans who has not expressed outrage and horror over the cecot efforts by the trump administration is impossible to fully communicate... and somehow seven months past might as well be a century removed in our new attention economy. that trump would do this kinda thing surprised us not at all, and you may review our posts since 2017 to confirm that claim. project 2025 was, in part, an effort to assemble a group o' at least marginal competent people who would be willing to advance tribal values either for personal power or 'cause o' a genuine ideological commitment regardless o' legal niceties, so am not surprised there is lawyers and burecrats carrying out the sinister marching orders o' the tangerine tyrant. am not shocked that hardcore maga people who have utmost faith in trumpism and is ok with any excess as long as the libs is being owned would choose the steven miller narrative regardless o' any evidence which might challenge their increasingly myopic world view. where is the rest of america? what serious bothered medicine dan, and others like him who somehow see themselves as reasonable trump voters in spite of hundreds o' examples o' trump excesses, were defund the police, white privilege accusations and talk of reparations for slavery... am thinking the subtext o' the underlying motivation need not be stated aloud for that kinda trump apologist to be understood. folks such as gd is sudden tired of all the negativity, but he somehow still sees equivalency 'tween trump and the dems ordinary incompetence? joe rogan now thinks what trump is doing to immigrants is crazy and inhumane, but is not as if trump hid his plans when he promised a mass deportation of 20 million people. even so, am not certain rogan and the kinda low information bro culture people who helped make trump 2024 possible is capable o' enough self reflection to recognize that their mind blowing gullibility is the cause o' the ice excesses near as much as is kristi noem or tom "cava bag" homan. ... but where is everybody else? even if you subtract the willful obtuse and proud boy adjacent crowds, where is the outrage from the rest of america? am pleased + seven million people came out for no kings. we saw a whole lotta gen x and boomer representation with their fanny packs, npr totes and american flags... not quite the sorros terror campaign republican leadership and fox news described. maybe the next no kings reaches nine million? even so, am not sure how we got past cecot with only a relative small number o' folks showing outrage. disappointed. HA! Good Fun!

  10. Preface: I enjoy creating unconventional builds that have interesting and varied playstyle, preferably ones that make some thematic sense. So while I dont need super optimal character creation, I would like to make the most of what the classes can bring to the table. With that out of the way, I actually think this is a fairly solid combination. One of the issues with Priest is that they spend so much time casting, if multiclassing you usually want either 1. To have a way to speed up said casting or 2. to have some action economy going, where theyre bringing passive value from the multiclass while Priest is occupied with their casting. Some of the pros of a Priest/Ranger I can see: The pet can be dealing damage and keeping the enemy occupied completely independent of what the Priest is doing Ranger actually does have a speed buff in Evasive Roll, giving 10 seconds of quick at Class Lvl 3 Marked Prey (+10 ACC one enemy), Stalker's Link (+10 ACC on each pet-engaged enemy), and Survival of the Fittest (+10 ACC on enemies under 50% health) are (as far as I'm aware, correct me otherwise please) conditional accuracy buffs that stack, and apply to not just weapon attacks but spells also. There are a few ways to boost engagement of the pet like Champions Boon or that one Chanter chant, so you can even make Stalker's Link effect multiple targets thats a whole lot of spell (and weapon attack) accuracy. All the Ranger's accuracy buffs and other passive ranged attack buffs provide the Priest with a pretty solid autoattack DPS when they're not casting Priest+Ranger apparently has more story interaction triggers than any other combination, when choosing the right subclasses (Priest 25, Ranger 21, Magran 25, Ghost Heart 14). I dont know if any of these overlap or if they even bring any value gameplay/battle wise, but I thought it was interesting There are naturally some downsides with all these of course, but overall the combination isnt too shabby compared to other Priest multiclasses. Some thoughts on subclasses... Priest of Berath/Ghost Heart - This sounds fun from a thematic point of view. Priest of Death + ghost wolf. Ghost Heart means you can fire and forget your pet at the start of battle without worrying about it dying and debuffing yourself. Touch of Rot does stupid damage for a Lvl 1 spell even if it has some limitations. This might be one of the few times the Greatsword modal might be useful (+30% damage for -10 ACC) with your overabundance of Accuracy buffs on a single target. Otherwise you can go into battle with one or more Arquebus/Arbalest, unload at the start, go on a casting spree, then summon your spirit Greatsword with a 31% corrode weapon lash to finish off single targets. I doubt Rot Skulls would be worth it still, maybe with the Ranger bounce and as a way to simply put a DOT on the enemy to buff pet damage? Priest of Magran - Has a number of Priest-unique damaging spells. Ray of Fire + Ranger ACC bonuses probably works great, as does getting a crit with something like Shining Beacon (not unique to Magran but fitting for leaning towards fire). Torrent of Flame could be kind of hilarious using Evasive Roll to teleport into perfect position to blast enemies. Itd likely be much better to have Magran's Favor + Marux Amanth (or Sun and Moon) for spell PL boosting/echo chance, so unfortunately the ranged perks of Ranger would be a bit wasted...Although potentially the spirit weapon pistol + bounce + 31% fire lash + ACC bonuses + Gunner could be pretty solid damage? Also can just switch over to another weapon slot. Priest of Skaen - for some reason I assumed Finishing Blow was melee ranged, but nope! I havent actually tested this, but Finishing Blow + Ranger Bounce ACC buffs should do a truckload of damage. Could even combine this with Hand Mortars or other AoE/bounce unique weapons too. Marux Amanth could even give it a chance to echo? Arcane Archer - I didnt enjoy this subclass much last time I tried it, and if I remember correctly none of the spiritual weapons apply as Arcane, so your autoattacks would get an ACC penalty unless you had one of the specific unique weapons that have that property...and I completely forget which actually apply. That said, I guess with the right setup these abilities could be a great start of fight opening to pin down enemies, with imbue web/pull of Eora, then you could start piling on debuffs or damage while theyre immobilized, or fire off a Fireball, which with Ranger bounce + bounce from weapons could cause some chaos. Seeing as you spend so much time casting as a Priest, just dumping all your Bond points at fight start for big effect kind of makes sense. Magrans Favor in one hand + Fire in the Hole in the other would probably have the most synergy here, with the + to Fire PL and the extra bounce. Priest of Woedica - not much here other than the fact the spiritual weapon is extremely strong. Not a ton of unique synergy with Ranger though other than all the ACC buffs... Sharpshooter - When paired with a Hunting Bow with its -50% recovery modal, might be a pretty solid combo. Anyways, Ill leave it at that. Look forward to hearing any more ideas I hadnt thought about. Thanks for reading!

  11. I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. My dentist and the surgeon thought they would be simple pulls because they'd all surfaced fully and without any major impacting, but they ended up having to cut into my gums and drill them apart because they had gnarly deep roots and refused to be pulled. 20-30m procedure turned into 3x that. Fun. The worst part so far was the anxiety leading up to it (I decided I'd be IV sedated...and that was almost certainly the right choice), but we'll see over the next few days.

  12. I might, once it is discounted. I mean, yeah, as I am the only one here on the forum (I think) wo didn't like Bloodlines, so why not. Can't be any less interesting. I didn't like any of the games Troika made. There's just something about these games that never ever click with me.
