  2. Finished the Bane trilogy, decent enough Star Wars books. Some Kotor DS like edginess, but the girl getting her cousin killed was a twist I admittedly didn't expect -was expecting him to be a redeemer in the final book. Big body count as well
  3. Second mini arc starts with Frieren beeing in a rather uncharacteristic hurry, rushing through shopping and skipping magic stores entirely to get out of the city (poor Stark!) The local nobility has a problem hanging on to their family heirloom, a sword that once belonged to a famous demon. Now it has been stolen for the second time in only a handful of generations and Count Dach asks Frieren to help him hunt down the demon thief and retrieve the sword. Frieren reluctantly agrees (the reason she was in such a hurry was to avoid the count, as she seems to have some resentment towards noblemen) They track the demon by following the trail of devastation. Bloodied apples and wrecked merchant carts, wrecked villages... No corpses anywhere though, as demons have a weird preference for human flesh (maybe it tastes like chicken?) A brief but hectic fight scene ensues. The demon may be alone, but she moves very fast and dodges incoming magic attacks Stark steps between the demon and Fern, and with a powerful kick to the stomach sends the demon flying backwards... With the physical separation between the Demon and then Stark and Fern, it's time for Frieren to carpet bomb the area to force the Demon to stay put I see a bright light... might as well have been the oncoming express train One tactical nuke later and it's over Followed by musings by Frieren on the nature of demons and their obsession with showing off when they get new toys, as well as human weaknesses when it comes to desire, temptation and impulses. Demons like to go on a rampage to show off newfound strength (like when stealing fancy swords) In the end though, she thought the whole thing worth it, as the count gave a her a grimoire with a spell she didn't have

  5. Frieren season 2, episode 2. Like several episodes in season 1, this is two "mini arcs", fleshing out the history of the world of Frieren. First arc tells the story of "The Hero of the South". They take on a task to clean a statue and much to Starks surprise, it isn't a statue of Himmel this time Frieren tells the story of The Hero of the South, the strongest hero of humanity and how he took on not just one, but all 7 Sags of Destruction and the Demon Kings confidante, Schlacht the Omniscient simultaneously His "strongest hero of humanity" wasn't just a boast and Frieren has a flashback to how she met the guy He tried to recruit Frieren to help him fight the Demon King, and reveals he already knew she would turn him down. As for how he knew, because he had the gift of knowing the future. He knows he will die fighting the sages and the the Demon Kings main henchman in one years time, but he will kill 3 of the sages in addition to Schlacht, clearing a path for the young hero that comes after him, to finish the job. Frieren is characteristacally unimpressed by anything that goes on around her and has a hard time beliveing some young hero would actually manage to convince her. At first he thinks that Frieren doesn't believe him... He was a hero indeed, going out in a blaze of glory (and blazing a trail for Himmel and his party).
  6. Someone really should have wasted Rittenhouse, I guess.
  7. I think so, but to be honest I haven't looked at it in detail and also didn't test it as much as I did with most of the other weapons we mentioned. Very nice!
  8. This! Some years ago, I watched the occasional Fox news articles and some Fox youtube videos (to avoid the echo chamber thing). I seriously thought at first, that I was watching some surreal satire in the comments sections until I realized those people actually believed what they wrote. Made me despair for the state of the world.
  9. After not being able to find a solution, I asked AI, Microsoft Copilot. I described the problem much like I did above and got a very specific answer. It is a known issue. The solution is to get into the vent by being diagonal to it as you move rather than straight on. Here's exactly what it said and it worked: 1. Stand slightly to the left or right of the vent opening. 2. Crouch first (don’t rely on auto‑crouch). 3. While crouched, move diagonally into the vent—almost like you’re scraping along the wall. 4. Once your head clips under the lip, the game “grabs” you and pulls you into the crawlspace.
  10. that is a concern, but am gonna point out that the administration's gaslighting efforts has been so successful, they may not feel any need to rely on ai or make ai claims as a defense. https://www.facebook.com/RiseUpAndResist/videos/bash-you-said-he-wanted-to-massacre-law-enforcement-what-evidence-do-you-have-th/1532399077827566/ trump supporters watching fox, oan, news max and countless maga sites is seeing video and they is glomping onto the narrative offered by trump, steven miller, kristi noem and greg bovino. have mentioned previous how reading stories at fox doesn't provide much insight, but reading the reader comments following the stories does. us v. them. HA! Good Fun!
  11. am gonna admit to being pleasant surprised that at least a few (admitted too few) o' the no compromise second amendment advocates has been more reasonable than our more notorious board pundits. and HA! Good Fun!
  12. Played through Bloodborne again. Well, almost. Didn't do Gehrman yet, but the DLC is done. Took me over an hour again to beat the orphan of Kos (or some say... Kosm). First phase is for sure a lot harder than the 2nd one. First one needs a lot of patience and some luck. 2nd phase is pretty much just "dodge into him" and don't drain your stamina too fast. After that, I went a little bit into Elden Ring again. Haven't finished the DLC yet, still lots of content for that one. But damn, the game is visually just beautiful.
  13. Haha I didn't know this. I guess I am going to have to console Eder into a monk in every playthrough now... Speaking of multi-hit weapons, does Ball and Chain give 3 chances for Swift Flurry/HBD per attack when it crits with Crushing Yoke and Subjugation? I am looking at Crushing Yoke in the exported JSONs right now and I didn't realize it launches an attack in basically the same way Mohora Tanga does. If so, there is only a ~12.5% chance that it doesn't trigger at least one proc. That's pretty great.
  14. I figured I would test it more and sure enough crashed my game almost immediately with Stunning Blow and MT in the offhand. Just had to add a bunch more accuracy - I don't think I was quite high enough to truly go infinite on PotD with modded extra upscaling. Also, I had Seeker's Fang in my main hand for my last playthrough on a transcendent, so I think the giant raw damage was killing all the low-fortitude weaklings before MT even hit them (so maybe the consistent order of hits with full attack abilities does matter in some contexts). Currently making a "safety valve" mod that does not interfere with the self-proc, but prevents the infinite loop. By setting `MaxTriggerCount` to a finite number I think it may stop the loop from going infinite. I just one-handed MT hit a dummy three times in a row and my game did not crash. It hangs for a bit, but the loop does stop even when every Red Flag Flying hit is a crit. I need to tune the value a bit to see if I can cut the loop off earlier. At `MaxTriggerCount: 30` it still overflows the combat log before stopping itself and hangs for a good second or two.
  15. Ok, I've now seen the modern version of The Running Man. It was ok, as such things go. Not a very good film, really, but at least it did feel more like it actually used the book as inspiration. The main chr/actor tho - I was assuming the uber angry/max bad temper posture/walk/expression was intentional, and it didn't work. It was like a bad SNL angry-man satire. The pacing/editing killed it, like many things these days. I mean, I felt more attachment to everything going on (and chrs) in ye old Lethal Weapon series. These days it's just set piece after set piece sewn together with nylon threads. Edit: actually, a lot of stuff these days feels akin to doing a TikTok scroll pattern. "Set piece", finger-scroll, "Set piece", finger scroll. Makes sense I suppose. 2nd Edit: I saw Matt Damon/Ben Affleck's interview re: Netflix asking them to put a huge action sequence in the 1st 5 minutes to keep phone-users attention at the start, and they made it sound like that's a totally new thing/ruining movies. Matrix? Bond, sometimes? It's more how it's done - plus whether the film makes that 1st attention grabber worth the rest of the time, to the end.
  16. It's Costco day. Which is where one spends a silly amount of money, to supposedly save money. At least we've never left CostCo with a giant inflatable boat or $5k patio set. Wouldn't fit in the car, anyway.
  17. That sounds like a positioning or animation offset bug rather than something you did wrong. Stuff like this usually happens when the interaction point on the furniture doesn’t line up correctly, especially on consoles. Try picking up and placing the lounger again on a flat surface, or rotating it and reloading the area. A full restart can also reset animation sync issues. If it keeps happening, it’s probably a known Xbox Series S glitch and worth reporting, since it’s more visual than gameplay-breaking.
  18. This issue came up again while I was playing and it for some reason bound to my ESC key.
  19. During the fight there are a lot of times that I cant hurt the masked stranger, my attacks go right through her and she remains unhurt. Not sure if this is a way to force the player to kill the broodmother first or not but its frustrating that I have died multiple times now due to this I am assuming bug.

  21. creator found a way to get back most of the loot lost with the sidetables hope it helps someone
  22. If I chop the stump to the grass does it grow back? I've had this come up so many times.. sometimes I feel like it does, and others I don't . Can I get an answer? I'm hoping it comes back..
  23. I managed to get corporation cooperation prior to getting to the archive, with the order agreeing to take the Archive but allow Aunty access to some materials. Secured Spireton with the help of both Order and Aunties troops, gave the calcedeceus(?) to the Order NPC who greeted me after fixing up the Archive, and patted myself on the back for a job well done. Then I head back to Ruth to tell her of my achievements and she acts like she's never met me before, demands I hand over the calcedeceus (which I shouldn't have in my possession), after which I find myself with a shoot on sight status with AC. Can anyone shed any light on this? I've had the dialogue reset issue with other NPCs and companions, but not to the point it ruins the outcome of the game.. please help. I've researched and I've done everything to enable cooperation and keep on both factions good sides, including good reputation
  24. Soon there'll be AI videos minutes after an execution to protect whatever narrative they come up with. And of course witness videos will be fake AI generated.
  25. Oh for sure, german CDU is already getting more and more friendly with the AFD. That's probably what our next government will be.. CDU + AFD. Ironically, the few states and towns where the AFD was already voted in, are doing really badly economically. Those people are extremely incompetent and it will only get worse in the future.
  26. conservative will choose to collaborate with fascist again it is all very predictable
