  3. Ever since I picked up Tristan and dismissed Niles to put Tristan in the party, Niles has completely disappeared from the Incognito. I can still add him to my party when I leave but he's missing from the ship and so I can't talk to him there or do any of his interactions. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Have you been able to fix it? I've tried various things like putting Niles in my party and then sending him back to the ship but it doesn't work. I would try restoring to before I got Tristan and sending Niles back before the dialogue to add Tristan to the party but I didn't notice the problem for a long time and I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past that now. Please help!
  4. Yeah, I was having the same issue with early game weapons that had 1.5, 1.75 and 2x scopes, including the Prism Repeating Rifle that is fitted with the 2x Prism Scope. NONE of these scopes magnified. I posted on Reddit, and several folks said that the only scopes that work are the ones on sniper rifles. But, I started working my way through the A102 Skycutter facility last night and found a "Scoped Shock Machine Gun" that was fitted with a 2.5x "Telescopic Sight". AND THE SCOPE ACTUALLY WORKS. IT ACTUALLY MAGNIFIES THE IMAGE. So, it is not just Sniper Rifles where the scope actually works. I'm beginning to think that the scopes not working on all those other weapons is a bug.
  5. I don't suppose y'all can reveal whether or not there are any plans to revisit Deadfire with these turn based improvements? These PoE1 modifications seem like extremely reasonable and solid improvements to TB mode.
  6. Thank you for this wonderful second chapter. I cannot find the character sheet for my characters. There are no instructions in the manual, and I doubt you would have omitted something so fundamental. The weapon information does not take into account all the bonuses I have earned, so I kindly ask: where can I find a summary of my statistics, such as critical chance and other bonuses? Thank you very much for your support. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
  7. To anyone stumbling across this post - my prayers have been answered, Obsidian released full OST, including radio stations, as a separate entry on Steam. Love you, Obsidian.
  8. So I have the same bug. Im on xbox SX and upon getting to lvl19 I got only 2skill points instead of 3. At that moment I was inside the garden in cloister (the xp from discovering triggered the lvl up). However, by loading a former save before going on cloister and going on praector instead and lvl up there I got my 3points. Tried the same thing again in the garden on cloister, 2 points again. So I dont know if its link to the planet or the location within it but apparently it works fine elsewhere. Guess I will try to level up again somewhere else on cloister see if it work. If not I will have to go outside of it any time I want to lvl up
  9. I'm playing the game and I'm really enjoying it. The only issue I'm having so far is that it would be great to have customizable markers to add to the maps, not just the blue dots, but also markers for weapons, chests, or doors that I can't open yet, so I can go back and open them later. I can't remember everything to go back, and I'm sure I'll forget some things. And honestly, using the blue markers is confusing, since I use them to move around the map, but I can't really tell what they are. I don't know what you all think, but I think it would be a really cool feature to have in the game. Cheers PS: Excuse my English, but I speak Spanish and not that much English.
  10. So what are you playing now? Is it good? I'm at the beginning but with extra turn cypher seems really good with quick focus and spellcast without delay.
  11. Same too me. Althought gameplay was really really good I was very very disappointed with Avowed and the story/writing around it. In outer world 2 lines are so funny and characters felt alive, THANKS.
  12. I was thinking about this too it would be great
  13. i'm having the exact same problem. this game's quests are buggy as hell. this is the third quest (fourth if you count a completed mention that won't disappear) that's impossible to finish due to bugged out npcs. the other two being that moon man guy in the brig, and i can't turn in the quest for the lightning towers because the quest giver has vanished. i've been loving the game so far, but what the hell?
  14. I have observed that after combat lost health is automatically regenerated. However, it seems food & drinks consumables are used to regenerate that lost health. Which is why the food & drinks menu was often empty after some time of playing. So, I don't experience a bug where food & drinks just disappear, but are rather consumed automatically out of combat. The codex entry for 'Food & Drinks' is a bit misleading as it states "manually" but there is no mention of it being automatically used. Perhaps other players are experiencing the same with regard to an 'empty' Food & Drinks menu.
  15. Quest Mechanical Matriarch is bugged. The hidden door in the Automech Production Facility won’t open. I don’t get an ‘open hidden door’ option. I’m playing on PS5. The quest seems to be bugged and I can’t progress. Anyone else with the same problem? I found someone on Reddit with the same issue but no workaround yet I guess. Would be nice if this could get fixed
  16. Hello folks, as you may know by the title, there’s a bug in third person where your character does not blink at all, lacking face expressions. I can tell this is a bug because in your “Menu Inventory” or in “Idle mode” you can see your character blink, expressing more emotions. This might not mean much to other players but it simply game breaking for me. Im hoping Obsidian Entertainment sees this as it can easily go unnoticed due to it also being a First person game. I’ve loved what they did in Third Person so far but the “plain Jane” face gets unbearable when you see your companions or Npc’s blink more than your character.
  17. Just faced the same bug. The guy says something like "Over there" and that's it
  18. Same issue here, explored the rooms before picking up the modulator and disabled the security terminal (left room). Also hopped up to the balcony. I don't know which of these actions broke the game, but exactly the same problem as the others described here, and posted by user Chny in another thread. I do have a save before picking up the modulator, so I can still leave the room and do other stuff - but still eventually a softlock here unless it gets fixed. And my previous backup save before that is like 10h ago ... (Playing in PC, but looks like platform doesn't matter)
  19. I chose to talk Audra down in the first companion quest and leave the transport untouched, but the quest reactivity acted like I had blown up the transport and the rest of the cell members were culled by the Protectorate. I'm not sure if this was triggered because I killed the guards outside the transport before rescuing her or not, but that was not mentioned as having potential consequences. Likewise, on a previous playthrough, I had killed the guards and helped her blow up the transport and that did not cause the cell to be culled.
  20. It's really designed in a way that wants you to play through multiple times, which is fine. It just would've been nice to have a more explicit warning about it. Thankfully, I got where they were going with it before I left the first planet, so I was able to salvage the run before assigning too many points outside what I was focusing.
  21. This exact scenario is happening to me, so annoying. Spent ages trying all sorts of interactions, running around back to the two factions, completely clearing out the under city etc. The best I can find is people saying to call the troops from the elevator, but that has obviously already been done as that locks the actual archive sections. Seems i'll just have to plod on and hope for a bug fix and come back to this and the main quest later.
  22. I have the same issue. Didn't have the bits, went and got them and told to come back another day or time. I even spoke with Marshal Donelson and fixed the leak by wearing a gas mask helmet. Got nothing.
  23. Fairly simple idea. Basics When we wear faction armor and head items, the player should be able to walk amongst that faction while in private property or areas where those NPCs are normally hostile. The player will still accrue a form of detection when being observed, but it will be slower, and instead of causing hostility it will require the player to bribe or fool the NPC with a Speech check. Higher ranking enemies will require higher speech and larger bribes. Speech challenge level can be negated or increased based on uniform (e.g officer vs. soldier NPC, officer vs. officer NPC, etc). Having faction enemies in your party will increase the challenge of Speech checks. Likewise, disguise level can negate or increase detection based on the type/rank of an NPC. Stealing items will immediately prompt an observing faction NPC to question you and possibly remove the stolen item from your inventory to theirs. Note this isn't meant to stack mechanically with standard stealth detection, and is meant to allow the player to blend in if they have low Stealth, and/or also high enough Speech. Stretch Goals! Certain quests could be revamped to allow more options and resolutions which incorporate the use of disguises. Perks or perk changes to improve the effectiveness of disguises.
  24. Wasn't sure if this was for outer worlds or part2, so I left it here bit let me know if it should be moved to pt2 forum. I believe the limit on their web form for bugs on Obsidian support caps at 10 MB so might be an alternative path to submit files?
  25. this sounds like a reagan republican position. not a criticism btw, just a recognition at how different the politics of immigration has become in a couple decades. keep in mind, based on 2024 predictions, social security will likely run dry o' money in a decade, or a bit less. is a dirty and not-so-secret truth that illegal immigrants, who pay taxes and thus support social security, do not benefit from the program. seeing as how nobody has come up with a politically practical solution for the looming social security collapse, and recognizing that illegal immigrants is offering substantial aid in preventing the grim reaper from visiting social security, there has been little motivation to end such a beneficial if unbalanced relationship 'tween the US and illegals. also, if you got ~50% o' the country convinced that immigrants is a drag on local economies, take jobs from americans, commit violent crime at disproportionate rates, and eat the local cat and dog population, universal amnesty for immigrants is gonna be a tough political sell. alternatives to "give everyone a ssn," is hb-1 and h2-a programs, which seeks to provide greater access o' temporary work visas to foreigners looking for work opportunities in the US. most illegal immigrants in the US is people who came here legal. individuals overstaying hb-1, f-1, m-1 and h2-a visas represent the majority o' illegals, but ice and cbp ain't raiding google or intel campuses. if there were a simple and political viable solution, somebody woulda' implemented it decades past. the problem is that illegal immigration is simultaneous a boon for the US economy and a political landmine nobody has wanted to touch until recent. exacerbating the issue in 2025 is that 'tween fears o' widespread cartel violence and the embrace o' the great replacement theory by fox viewers, not to mention a widespread misapprehension about who illegal immigrants is regardless o' political identification, solutions has become increasing unlikely. HA! Good Fun!
  26. Wow, these are some fantastic ideas! I love how detailed everything is, especially when it comes to base building, armor, and new creatures. I think adding more variety to base building, like the new materials (wood from branches or saplings) and the crafting stations like a saw table, would really add depth to the game. One thing I’d love to see is a water filtration system. It could tie into the survival aspect a lot more, especially for those longer sessions where you need a reliable source of fresh water. A water filter could be crafted from natural materials (like moss or clay) and could attach to larger water sources like the backyard hose or even a rainwater collection system. It could give players a more permanent way to gather clean water instead of relying on the sporadic puddles or the dew collecting on leaves. It’d add more realism to the game and give a practical use to some of the materials that don’t have much purpose yet. As for the rest, I’m all for more interactive world events — like the lawnmower or weather changes — that add unpredictability to the environment. Plus, more armor sets with unique buffs (like the Gnat armor for double jumps or Bee armor for damaging enemies on hit) would definitely make exploration and combat more dynamic. Great work putting all these ideas together! Can’t wait to see what ends up getting added to the game. Keep it up!
