Gromnir
video rockford files theme would make our top 5. along with rockford we would add mash and barney miller, though mash were a movie before tv, so might be a cheat to include. so to complete top 5, in no particular order... oh, and henry mancini deserves special recognition, though the linked pink panther is a blurred line inclusion as were original a movie theme... and peter gunn were before even Gromnir's time. HA! Good Fun! ps edited out rockford theme to reduce clutter. Re MASH, good point, I guess if it was a TV show it counts Some great themes there, but I wouldn't have seen them until I was much older , we only had 2 TV channels here, one for Northern (UTV) and one for Southern Ireland (RTE), Hence my more localised choices as there wasn't much of a budget for imported TV shows, Probably Hawaii 50 would be one of my earliest imported TV show memories Thanks for shopping Pawn-O-Matic! Gromnir
... ok, perhaps a couple more and one of the 1966 marvel cartoons the hulk, thor and ironman intros were kinda fun too. sadly, am actual recalling when such were still on broadcast tv. Epaminondas
M*A*S*H* the TV series clearly outstripped the book or the movie. We have Mash as an enduring part of our culture because of TV. I loved Speed Racer when I was a kid. I think I can find a video. Hmm, someone mentioned Scooby Doo. I honestly didn't get to watch a lot of cartoons when I was a kid. I was gone for a while in a place that didn't exactly have access to great television. I did love Mash and would actually make it the one weekly ritual. However, late at night, in the wee hours of the morning, I would watch all the oldies that I'd just missed by being too young. The Twilight Zone. Combat. The Outer Limits. EDIT: ...And I loved the Avengers also. Those old brits could make some great shows also. The Saint was great fun. I'm sure I saw these well after they were cancelled as series, but I loved 'em as a kid. Edited December 18, 2017 by Epaminondas χαίρετε
