On one hand this looks like a fun game. On the other, not another gundam roguelike. It seems that they are trying to get rid of the negative aspects that are associated with most rogue-like games. I think I'll pick it up - never played it before. Watched the first couple minutes of a youtube walkthrough on the original and it appealed to me. I have Grim Fandango, I've not alot of time to play as most so I've only put some minutes into it but I really liked what I saw. What I really want is a brand new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game (is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ever going to happen?), the Metro games were great, but much more linear and scripted experiences (not that that's a bad thing), whereas S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was more open with much more emergent gameplay (one of the best emergent gameplay experiences ever IMHO). 2 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

Cossacks is a bit of an odd one in that most people in the west have never heard of it while it sold millions in eastern Europe. Stalker ought to be next, and I'll probably be telling myself that every month for the next five years. 1

I remember pre-ordering the limited edition of the game only to find out weeks later that my nvidia 8800 Ultra had a free copy of Stalker bundled with it. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Cossacks also sold literally millions and has very good name recognition in eastern Europe, it's more or less unknown outside of there.

Oh, and they got the flashlights 100% to STALKER standard; Utterly useless beyond arms reach.
