Meshugger Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 He's got a better shot than Obama and that's how I pick my politicians What are your thoughts on this guy? A brave man who fights against the governmental institutions and their imposed values against sovereign men. By removing the chackles of decency he cleverly leads us to pure and naked freedom; and liberty. 3 "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Gfted1 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Donald Trump will visit Britain, setting up a likely hostile reception. Would have been interesting to see the UK go full supernova under the weight of angst if he would have shown up a day earlier. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Zoraptor Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 It's been quite interesting seeing who has doubled down on Clinton and who seems to be quietly dialling back support. What happens if Clinton gets indicted and how her more vocal supporters will deal (or not, more likely) with it will be decidedly interesting, let alone how they'd deal with her losing to Trump. Some seem to have enough difficulty as it is, and she only has a Sternly Worded Letter equivalent at the moment.

Leferd Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 The latest NBC/WSJ/Marist poll has Clinton with a 49-47 lead over Sandrrs with a +/- of 4.2. Most polls have Clinton leading, but within the error range. Won't matter anyway because Clinton is going to clinch the nomination in New Jersey before the voting even closes in California. Remember, in the Democratic Primaries, it's not winner take all --delagates are assigned based on the voting and Clinton is about to clinch. 1 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

Neither of them are capable of reaching the neccesary amount without super delegate aid, and superdelegates don't actually confirm their votes until convention, no? Bartimaeus Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Yep. Quote How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart. In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.
Leferd Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Let's be real here. Clinton"s lead with he normal delegates is virtually insurmountable and the superdelegates aren't going against the will of the people and pledge their votes to the candidate who is behind by millions of votes. There will be no contested convention. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/clinton-will-likely-clinch-the-democratic-nomination-in-new-jersey/ 1 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

Raithe Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 The Takei 'Trump Analogy' Say you’re on a football team, and your coach is retiring. You decide as a team to select a new coach. Along comes this guy who says he’s perfect for the job. “Have you coached football before?” one team member asks. “That doesn’t matter,” the man says “I’m going to be the best coach ever. We’re going to win. We’re going to win and win, because we’re champs.” “That’s great,” you say. “But how? How are we going to win?” “What do you mean how? You sound like a loser,” the wanna-be coach says. “I don’t want losers on my team. Why don’t you get out." “I think he should stay. He’s allowed to ask how you’re going to coach us,” another teammate says. “Shut up and let him talk,” says another. “I like this guy. He’s famous, give him respect.” Two of your teammates nod. Now you’re worried. This guy has them believing nonsense. “Okay, you wanna know?” the man shouts. "Because I’m the best coach there is. I’ve been coaching baseball all my life, too. It’s a lot like football actually. Almost exactly like it. And we won lots of championships. The ladies love my players, too, because they love me. With me, you get to win. There’s no one better than me.” You look around and a few more of your team members are nodding. Are they hearing this guy? But some team members remain skeptical. “I understand you coached baseball before, but actually, I hear you lost most of the time,” your friend says. "You got to coach baseball because your dad owned the team, but you still lost most of the time.” “Who the heck are you? Do you even play football? What is it, Juan Carlos? You look like you play soccer, if you know what I mean.” Another team mate laughs. You don’t think it’s funny. Juan looks at you. You decide not to say anything more. You don’t want any trouble. “Look, don’t ask me how. The details don’t matter, because we’re going to win. The other teams suck. They’re a bunch of wimps and losers. And I’m the best coach there is, football, baseball, you name it. So how ‘bout it guys? Am I your new coach, or what?" "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
