    to make a point, folks gotta ignore 9/11 victims, near 3,000 of them.  must also ignore that in the last 12 months we has seen more than 60 victims o' islamic terrorists.  

     

    on the other hand, the lawnmower numbers is funny, 'specially considering how many safety measures those things typical got these days.  back in ye olde tymes, we recall the side-bag mowers would easily become clogged if grass were the least bit wet.  am not certain how many times we reached down and pulled out grass while mower were still running.  stoopid, but as it took considerable effort, and a couple heartfelt hail marys and our fathers for pre-teen Gromnir to get the antiquated briggs & stratton mower started, we would typical risk dismemberment rather than shutting off the engine.  also, our yard were not a clean and manicured plane o' green, so innumerable rocks o' impressive dimensions had been launched by our mower at nolan ryan speeds to bounce off barns, houses, cars, cows, horses and even Gromnir. might be some karma involved with the Gromnir strikes seeing as we typical laughed when livestock were hit. nowadays, 'less your mower is +30 years old or industrial, the safety measures to prevent injury is extreme.  

     

    that being said,  some four or so months ago, our gardener, a guy who works at the local golf course, managed to lose the outside toes on both his feet in a mower accident.  we got a powerful imagination, but w/o the addition o' comical slippery banana peels or the intervention o' gremlins, am still trying to picture how in a single lawnmower accident a guy loses 2-3 outside toes on both feet.
