Orogun01
I just find it odd that Tony Stark who is more tech minded would use a format that makes it more difficult to read code. Maybe the whole point is to show that one cares about other people while the other is a self centered, arrogant and never has to revise his own code. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
kirottu
No. You got it all wrong. Stark's way makes it easier to read code. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Raithe
Starks is less vertical white space, but I have to admit, I find it easier to glance at code where the { are on the same spacing, even if it does use up more screen area. majestic
The practice is from way back to make books cheaper by cutting lines of code samples while retaining at least some readability. It's outdated, much like Cap is in the movies. No way Tony would do that. Well unless it is JavaScript where you sometimes have to so the JavaScript engine doesn't get confused and assumes a semicolon where there should be none. Stupid JavaScript, really. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

teknoman2
1 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. Modern democracy is: the sheep voting for which dog will be the shepherd's right hand.

Orogun01
No. You got it all wrong. Stark's way makes it easier to read code. I always found it more difficult to determine the scope if I have to be always looking for a bracket. It is just cleaner to have them on the same column and put the code one space to the right. The guy that will have to read that code will thank you for it. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
