Nakia
So technically for backing up tier with first +expansion I will end up paying more... . Exp was +$20 so if I buy part #2 I will end up at $35 vs $25. So much for incentive to back Unless somehow this includes Part 1 & Part 2 (which would make sense since part 1 of expansion pack is just...a part of it) Part 1 & 2 are included together for backers who paid for that stretch goal. That is part of the reason I think the expansion is being called part 1 & 2 rather than simply expansion 1 and expansion 2. One expansion in two parts. Rosveen beat me and said it better and simpler. archangel979
I think I will just wait for a Steam sale when I can get both parts for 20$ or less. The main improvements come with Patch 2.0 anyways and expansions Part 1 does not fix Stronghold anyways (which ruins most of the base game story) so I am not interested that much in extra story and dungeons.

Blades of Vanatar
Well, the added levels are the late levels which usually takes more content to level up. So I would assume there should be a lot of added content. No matter which fork in the road you take I am certain adventure awaits.

Strange, you only need to interact with the Stronghold once. It doesn't have a major impact on the main story, it's really just a gateway to the mega dungeon. Nakia
I hold to the opinion that opinions do not need to be backed up by facts because opinions are just an individual's opinion. Cantousent
I agree with Nakia. Otherwise, we end up with three paragraph disclaimers about whether or not something is an opinion. Some things are clearly facts and others are opinions. As a point of fact, you don't need to do a lot with the stronghold to progress the main story line. To be clear, the mega dungeon is not strictly necessary either. At least as I recall the main plot progression. As a matter of opinion, I personally like the stronghold and think you're missing out on a lot if you don't do anything with it, but clearly there are some folks who didn't like it or outright hated it. ruzen
I thought only part 1 was going to be available for expansion backers. Strange, you only need to interact with the Stronghold once. It doesn't have a major impact on the main story, it's really just a gateway to the mega dungeon. And that is its problem. Nobody cares that you got a huge Castle next to their capital. Even the Stronghold mechanics itself are terrible and boring. The mega dungeon below it is also pretty boring, feels more like clearing a dungeon in Diablo 2 as it has way too much samey combat.
Fardragon
I could easily afford $30, but am still far from convinced it represents reasonable value for money. Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
Quantics
I could easily afford $30, but am still far from convinced it represents reasonable value for money. That's entirely fair. Personally I'm just happy that this kind of game is still being made in 2015, that I'll happily pay $30. And that's regardless of my opinion of the gameplay/story, which I found good, but not exceptional. I guess I'm just secretly hoping that Pillars (one day) receives the Baldur's Gate 2 treatment. svartelric
I think that complaining about a 30$ expansion for a videogame is truly the definition of "first-world problem". Besides, I don't recall expansions costing much less than the main games (look at Bethesda's DLCs for Fallout 3 - btw, what a waste of money, and how much was that?)
