"Better" meaning more exciting.  It is an action RPG. It has vehicular combat, which Fallout lacks.  Players can build/upgrade/savage for vehicles and Max.  And thank goodness Max now has an Australian accent.

Is it directly based on the recent movie?  Or is it a different story, but set during the events of the movie?

The promotional material about this game has been awesome so far ... but i'll still wait for a month after release before seriously considering buying it.

It does look impressive and I have to admit that the survival and limited resources aspect appeals, the open nature of the terrain will probably make the vehicular sections a lot less fiddly as well, one to watch most certainly.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

They say it is its own thing based in the Mad Max universe.

Then it's worth keeping an eye on.  I'm not a fan of games that are a direct translation of a movie.

But it seems the cars have "global hitpoints"? There is a green bar that shows the current car health. Would like it more if it had been like in e.g. Interstate '76 back in the old days, with a damage model for wheel, engine, chassis front, left, right,... etc.

Hm. The Fallout series are not action games...sooo? Looking better is not difficult, but graphics don´´t make a good game experience. So we will have to see if that game is any good.

It seems to be post apocalypse batman/shadows of mordor type game, but instead upgrading your gadgets or sword/wraith power you upgrade your car. So not necessary bad game, but absolutely different kind game than what Fallout 4 aims to be.

I really like what I've seen so far, but one thing I did not like was the convoy chase part, they were driving in circles. I hope thats just because thats a limitation of the demo and the maps in the final game will be large enough to support long point to point chases. I hate the idea of driving on invisible circuits.

Can we get a gyrocopter instead?

Oh, and I wonder if we have to drive these small cars or it is possible to upgrade to one of these huge trucks.
