Pfff, people care too much, the day I got my wisdom teeth pulled I did deadlifts and squats, heck, the day I got a throat surgery I did bench presses and pull overs and went to work. And I never take painkillers, ever.   :p  :p

Respect...the only pain i can not endure is in my mouth...well that has changed a bit. but still. But no painkillers? Ugh...

 

What did i today, nothing, just preventing my dad from chokeing (again -.-) taking care of some stray cats..the usual..and now..drinking! :dancing:

The pain I can't stand at all is headache, it interferes with my sleep and makes me feel desperate - fortunately headache is an extremely rare occurrence for me. (Hats off to those who have to deal with migraine) Any other kind of pain is quite tolerable, and I've had my fair share of injuries.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but whaaaa? Does he have a condition that impedes his ability to swallow?

Interesting, headaches are no business for me, i can deal with them very well. Hard migrane attacks like i had in the past are difficult to handle...but the moment it goes into my mouth i´m a terrible "****" (no offense to pussies :p ) i can deal with all but my mouth is something other...but then i have a real phobia of dentists i guess....i have less fear from death than from a dentist lol. Anesthesia helps.

He suffers from COPD. And a lot more things. Makes my day interesting.

As i said, he suffers from COPD, which is nasty on it´s own. But he is also "that old guy" meaning he does what he wants..smoking like a volcano, and well coughing fits aside, stuffing himself full with ****y treats despite diabetes (which ironicaly is still fine). etc..well things get stuck. >.< It´s really like taking care of a child, a child that knows very well what it does :p I can´t blame him.

I'm sorry for your father - my family has the same mindset, living totally unhealthily but at the same time being completely aware of it. I'll never understand those people....

Don´t feel sorry o.O He has a lot of health problems, and tries to just enjoy life..i can understand that ;)

Well this is awkward...

 

A contract gig I was working last year finally got back in touch with me asking if I was still looking for something permanent... just as I was promoted in my current full-time job. I find myself at a crossroad; I imagine I would get paid roughly the same at both gigs, but I fought tooth and nail not only just to get to where I am at the company I'm at now, but just to get hired there in the first place. I'm working at a much bigger company right now, but I still enjoy the atmosphere of where I work nonetheless. On the other hand, the other job was in Calabasas/Woodland Hills  area where I could still rent a room from my parents, whereas now I have to commute from a crappy apartment in Downtown LA to Culver City.

My vote would be to stay where you are. It sounds like it has a higher ceiling and the other job is a lateral move at best. I get the commute thing, I drive 45-60 minutes each way. :( 

I played 3 games of hockey in a row.  Everything hurts.

 

Shame that you couldn't have keep some of those - would have made a great conversation piece for your hotel ....

 

Would love to see more pictures of the hotel too.  :)

    I'm just waking up after being up well through the night and into the morning saying goodbye to a very good friend, and my main dance partner, who is sadly moving away. Much drink was had and goodtimes, we did a pub crawl and then sat around and talked into the wee hours and got a little teary at her leaving, and she's safely on her way today.

    "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum."

    Pub crawls always have a way of making a situation better, you seem like a good friend to your lady friends. That's an admirable quality  :thumbsup:
