I don't know if it's a "bug" or just an oversight, but occasionally I'll find a book more than once that should be unique. Most recent is "Final Journal of Jonas", which should be a unique find based on both the title and the contents of it. But I found two copies within a few rooms of each other. It kind of ruins the illusion of the story told by the text...

Report it as a bug.

Another competitor in the #firstworldproblems competition, and a strong one to boot!

He's probably just too privileged.

Every single complaint ever made by anyone about this game in any way is, in fact, a #firstworldproblem

If the complainer is from Russia is that a #secondworldproblem or is that no longer a thing?

It's been brought up before but that item is supposed to be a religious text (according to a developer who answered my query about it in the backer beta) for the Skaenites.

I agree though that it's a bit weird and there should probably be some additional text or something there to clarify that it *is* a reproduced religious text.

Pretty sure that anything involving Russia is a #****worldproblem.

I get the impression that this particular book is more of a sacred text for the group that uses it - that you're finding reprinted versions, not the original journal.

Very nitpicky.

The printing press hasn't been invented yet, so book variety is limited. Also, as others have said, it's a religious text not an actual journal.
