That art is ****ing horrible and everyone involved should be sent to a gulag immediately.

It makes Torchlight look grimdark.

That, plus I like your new signature, so another plus for the post.. i think that i will put a like on each of your new posts i will read just because of that signature with orc riders

Ow, my eyes.

I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com

Nah, I look at my awesome balls once in a while too.

And they look much better than the Human Wizard...

I was looking at the US trademark for Sword Coast Legends™, which is owned by WotC/HASBRO, which tells me they are the ones publishing this.

A real damn shame WotC wants to make a MMO combat game with cool-downs, targeted at the general public, instead of an actual turn based D&D game, targeted specifically for D&D fans. *sigh*

Why do you hate turn based games WotC?

Oh thats right..... money. :(

Money.... money never changes.

Jeez I want my money back. I was afraid this thing would turn into a bowl of vanilla mush. Now it's looking like a bowl of something else.

Let this be a lesson to you all. Don't buy a game until you learn a little more about it. But then again I bought PoE sight unseen and to say that turned out well would be an understatement. So you never know.

Nope, I plan on throwing money at if after release. It looks like everything I hoped PoE would be.

The gameplay looks fun. It's the concept art that is an offence to D&D, which traditionally has had art with some soul to it.

Not this.... stuff.

It can't all be Erol Otus.

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Looks like the kind of style they've been going for since 3rd edition to me.

As if D&D has ever looked anything other than ren faire.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Ugh.

I thought the same thing.

She looks like Michelle Rodriguez in the face to me.

Concept art fail.

D&D is best when it's Ren Fair with a bit of conan and/or road warrior. That's what the old module art looked like.

These days, D&D and Pathfinder has this weird post anime artwork with some character designs that are WAY too busy.

It's good to criticize things you love.

Welcome to the second level, grasshopper. Be sure to spend your skill points wisely.

Their cliche fantasy name generator has gone into meltdown.

sonsofgygax.JPG

Lol seriously, the names of the characters... I am speechless O.o

If they put as much thought into gameplay than they put into the names, I am really afraid about this game...

I haven't been following this lately. It looks like they are doubling down on every bad thing.
