"There really isn't one "Ukrain"... it's more evident now than ever there's the Western Ukrainians (pro-EU) and the Eastern Ukrainians (pro-Russia).
Now this could all have been resolved peacefully if people accepted that their country is so divided that splitting them in 2 would be best.
Instead... West-Ukraine, having undone themselves of the East-Ukrainian leadership in Kiev, decided to pull out the army to keep the divided country a single nation... even if that meant destroying said nation, and the inevitable happening that the people are just too divided to keep one country without constant conflicts."

Eh. That's basically describes the Amerikan Civil War... or pretty much any civil war ever.

Trying to hold Debaltsevo was foolish. The rebels retreated from Kramatorsk and Slavyansk in good order when they were obviously going to lose, that point passed at Debaltsevo a week or more ago.

Despite the precautions, the column came under attack almost immediately, Mr. Sardaryen said, and trucks started breaking down and colliding in the dark. By dawn, the column was strung out on the plain and taking fire from all sides.

“They were shooting with tanks, rocket-propelled grenades and sniper rifles,” and firing at the disintegrating column with rockets, he said. Dead and wounded soldiers were left on the snowy fields because there were too many of them to carry once the trucks were hit.

“We stabilized them, applied tourniquets, gave them painkillers and tried to put them in a place with better cover,” Mr. Sardaryen said of the wounded.

Later, a Ukrainian unit from outside the encirclement drove in to try to retrieve the wounded, he said.

Mr. Sardaryen said he ran for the final four miles or so. Many of the soldiers who made it out also did so on foot, though some trucks made it all the way through, he said.

Ukrainians too much cosplay of Wehrmacht and fully repeat their epic failure during Battle of the Korsun–Cherkasy Pocket. Anyway this is a epic win of Rebels  -  Ukrainian Junta begin whining about UN peacekeepers  now.

I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Fun game trying to figure out who broke it first, though.

Another series of Russian provocations involving the Baltic states, related to the Ukraine war, makes so called hybrid war scenario more and more realistic within the region of the Baltic Sea. The incidents that took place so far, such as the Internet existence of “People’s Republic of Vilnius” or the hooligan attacks on the Polish Embassy in Vilnius, seem to suggest that the Kremlin is going to use the Polish minority of Lithuania, along with the tough history of the Polish-Lithuanian relations, as the basis for its activities, aim of which would be to destabilize the region.

Brittish embassy try reduce of his ""freedom of speech":

We have been alerted to a number of social media updates that have caused some to raise questions about your presence in Ukraine in a journalistic capacity.

Particular things that have raised concerns include being photographed while wearing military uniforms, separatist insignia, or holding firearms. We are very concerned that you may be putting yourself in danger through these types of activities which could be seen as a blurring of the line between journalism and active involvement in a conflict.

I can only repeat that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises against all travel to Crimea, Donetsk oblast and Lugansk oblast. We advise against all but essential travel to Kharkiv oblast. Our travel advice is available here: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/ukraine. As we have previously discussed with you, we recommend that British Nationals leave these areas.

Thank you for your email. Firstly, on a factual point, I’m not in Ukraine, I am in Novorossiya, which voted to secede from Ukraine in referendums last May 11th, after the violent revolution of Euromaidan installed an unelected, far-right government.

However, I do sincerely appreciate your concern for my wellbeing, and am grateful for your having written to me.

In terms of the points you raise, I accept that my working practices may appear unconventional. However they are easily explainable – I wear camouflage when filming from frontline positions so as not to attract extra attention to those I am with, or myself. The Ukrainian military are equally inclined to shoot journalists as combatants. I wear ‘separatist insignias’ because I think Novorossiya is a beautiful country. I’ve taken part in firearm drills to augment my experience, and understanding, as a war correspondent.

The line, delineation, of my role here as a correspondent is thus perfectly clear, simply there are those who choose to blur it for their own ends. None of my working practices contravene any laws, all are utilised to the end of my wish to be the best correspondent possible.

Yeah yeah Oby, we all know that evil muricans are occupying Ukraine, evil imperialists from EU are supporting them with tanks and rockets and heroic russians are fighting for freedom of Ukraine people, especially minorities like Jews and Muslims (well of course not fighting with artillery or tanks but with humanitarian help). We all get it :)

So a bunch of idiots got arrested after a brief stint playing rambo around Novorossiya. Seriously, how stupid can you be? I mean, I can understand being brainwashed and thinking of it as your ticket to heaven and 70 virgins or whatever. But this? One of these clowns proudly displayed his life-size Stalin portrait tattoo. Wow dude, just wow.

Now they are being charged with "compromising the State's neutrality in the conflict" and being "accessories to murder" in addition to having had a few illegal guns confiscated. Odds are that they'll be also charged with "terrorism" under the brand new anti-terror law, as they had gone to Ukraine to "terrorize" civilians there. I wonder though, if these morons had been in the payroll of a PMC, would they be charged?

Well, only if the PMC was being funded by Spain or someone else allied to them I'd imagine. If it was some PMC people being paid by Russia that'd be a big coup in the media, after all.

People doing this to fight ISIS as well, largely most people seem ok with that. A stupid act, but hopefully is somewhat self-correcting.

Too bad they weren't Muslims, here in Austria we have people return from a tour across the battlefields of Syria all the time and nobody gives a damn. If Spaniards fight in the Ukraine its all bad.

Two Romes have fallen. The third stands. And there will be no fourth. No one shall replace your Christian Tsardom!

P.S. Do Romanian Romani people yet cosplay descendants of Romans?
