Nartwak Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 The whole orthodox calendar thing was a joke. Yes. Please look up this term: sarcasm. Now, apply what you've learned to my post. Ad saf df bifht1 Whatever. Same assignment.
John Morgan Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Simple question, in the original KOTOR a characters class choosing at the beginning (character generation) gave some minor but nice changes. For example, a scoundrel was both shorter and less bulky then a Soldier and the Scoundrel had unique clothing as did the Soldier. So if you picked a soldier you were taller and bulkier throughout the game and with a scoundrel you were smaller and shorter. Do you guys plan on implementing small class changes like this? If I choose a consular at the beginning would I be smaller and have different clothing then a Guardian? (I realize some people in KOTOR did not even know that initial classes determine your PC's size.) Thanks for your time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, there should be very distinct differences between the starting classes. SiO2
Product of the Cosmos Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Do devs make the manual for the game? Or do Publishers? I assume publishers like 96% likely.. But do the devs play any part in the manual content production?
kumquatq3 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 1. Has anything been done to directly improve stealth? I know you guys are trying to give everything it's chance to shine, but I had a feeling you guys might tinker with how the belt is used and such. 2. Is MCA still with K2 at this point, or is he over on NWN2 now?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Or demolition? Because my character usually got so beefed up that a mine would barely hurt him....anything on improving this?
Rubber Ducky Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 How will the hand-to-hand work? What would be its governing attributes? Also, I read somewhere that ranged characters will actually be useful in a lightsaber fight. Any news on how?
nightcleaver Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Err, I think the more specific wording was, "More useful". I don't know if that means more useful in lightsaber fights necessarily, but hopefully not.
Rubber Ducky Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I know it said "more", but they were never useful at all in that situation to begin with. Personally, I'm not sure about it either, depending on how they do it.
Raven Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 can you tell us anything about the new minigames, like how many there will be?
Darth Sirius Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 can you tell us anything about the new minigames, like how many there will be? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> good question, i think the add alot to replayability
Rubber Ducky Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Speaking of mini-games, will the swoop circuit be intact this time around? I also heard that the turret mini-game was improved somehow. Any details?
nightcleaver Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 A couple questions: I've noticed that one of the screenshots, of Onderon particular, that shows a city with tan buildings and similarly colored ground, looks a lot like a still from a movie set. Is the CG just that good, is it a picture/model idea of Onderon? (for reference: screenshot 3 of 48 on the LA website for KotOR II) Also: there's been mention of a lightsaber that is "your own", the main character's. Will this lightsaber look different on the hilt, or just have some fancy color and/or stats?
$NWN FAN$ Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 i dont know about you ppl but i want a bigger, better map/world/planet/surroundings what ever u wish to call it, and a long game with good quality and different stories depending on what you do in the game, this will give a big a$$ bonus to online. and i like those ppl in BG1 and 2 that came after you when ppl saw u murder other ppl and the called the flaming fists and throu out the game they're after u, that was great.

Wrong forum perhaps?
Zach Morris Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Rank of the pc... Padawan Knight or master? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if you start out as as a padawan there should be a movie or something when you become a jedi knight to let you know you changed. Because I remember in kotor where that yoda guy called me a padawan when I could have easily kicked his butt.
Zach Morris Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 I guess what i'm saying is the stronger you get the more npc's should respect/fear you
Darth Ravok Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 How will you be able to load ur old game to make it fit with the new game?
Grand_Commander13 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 It's been common knowledge for a long time that there will be dialogue near the very beggining where you'll reveal what happened during KOTOR 1. Curious about the subraces in Pillars of Eternity? Check out
Product of the Cosmos Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 ^lol Seeing the noobs roll in is fun. What I want to see changed though(that I have not seen mentioned). Is in kotor when I would get a datapad, or something from someone(like the guy in the Dantooine base I schooled in pazaak) it doesnt tell me what I got. And if I had been slacking on keeping track of all my items I had to guess. i hope thats not in the 2nd kotor.
Grand_Commander13 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I don't know where/when I heard this, but somebody mentioned datapads opening automatically when you get them. I REALLY hope this gets put in. That way, I won't have to constantly post "RTFDPs" (Read Those Fabulous Data Pads ) to all the people wondering "How do I beat the rancor?" "How do I get past the obelisk?" "How do I light up the tiles?" and stupid stuff like that. Curious about the subraces in Pillars of Eternity? Check out
Stargate: 2000 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I don't know where/when I heard this, but somebody mentioned datapads opening automatically when you get them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it was either Akari or Morgan man who said that but I can't be sure of that.
