Matt516
Just a small thing - the variety of portraits is far too small for the number of races that are available. Something akin to Shadowrun Returns' system (race and gender-specific portraits, 3 or so base for each race/gender combo, and lots of variations on the base portraits) would fit very well for this game IMO. Sensuki
I'd prefer they didn't use the SRR style of quick portrait turn over. That said Kaz has started working on Portraits again now, and I think they have external artists too afaik, so we will get a lot more by release. Marceror
A few new ones were added with the latest patch. I'm betting there will be more added yet. 1 "Now to find a home for my other staff."My Project Eternity Interview with Adam Brennecke

You can always add in the IWD, IWD2, and BG portraits. Links in tartantyco's post, fourth down in This Thread
Karkarov
Actually I went back to count it just to see how many portraits REALLY were in BG 1 for example.... believe it or not there are already more portraits in Eternity. That is without even considering the fact that most of the BG1/2 portraits were also actually NPC portraits and not specific to the MC... which is not the case for the Eternity Portraits. That said I would like to see more, but I think we have to give credit where it is due as well.
Tartantyco
The issue is with the inclusion of Godlikes and Orlans. You can't really use an Elf or Human portrait for any of them, like you could use Montaron's portrait for other races in Baldur's Gate. Almost all portraits could be used for other races in the other IE games, whereas in PoEt, you can't. So, while the total amount of portraits in PoEt is greater, the actual amount of viable portraits is much lower, and in some cases, extremely limited. 1 "You're a fool if you believe I would trust your benevolence. Leferd
Part of the problem is not the volume of portraits available, but the lack of variance between racial, culture, and class diversity. It'll be addressed in future updates, but at the moment, I can't create a swashbuckling Valian pirate pistoleer. 2 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Marceror
The issue is with the inclusion of Godlikes and Orlans. AND the Aumaua. That's 6 races/subraces that cannot use generic photos due to their extremely distinctive appearances. Bester
Yeah, there's nothing for me in that pack.Doesn't matter, I'll just find something cool on deviantart for my character. We're not in the early 00's anymore, we don't have to rely on the game's portrait pack. There's plenty of things on the internet. Fiebras
One of the elven portraits can sort of pass fo aumaua id only for the marks. (Its the white dress one). We havent seen any Wild Orlan (male or female), female coastal aumaua, female pale elf (we just got the male one), and I asume every godlike head type is gonna need its own portrait only for the sheer diference between them all and because they cant wear headgear. Big fan of the portraits so far though I think they should prioritize Orlan, Aumauma and Godlike portraits if only for the fact that its their OC races so you want to give people a good variety and feel for these races (a department the aumauma are kinda lacking atm).
