IndiraLightfoot
Playing through IWD2 as of now, and it includes something that I absolutely love about the IE-games: the info windows! There you get stuff like: -Your most powerful vanquished foe -Percentage of kills in party -Amount of combat xp earned I mean, this literally gives you a little competition in your party. I often take a peek and see which ones are third or fifth wheels, so I now which chars I should roll in my next playthrough. I'd be very, very happy if this is indeed included in PE as well. EDIT: Let's come up with stats we'd like to see! How about: -Highest amount of damage dealt in a single attack on one foe -Number of close calls (surviving 1 hp and less) -Number of traps disarmed -Number of locks picked -Largest amount of copper pieces found Edited April 24, 2014 by IndiraLightfoot 4 *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
Sarex
Not only that but the info window in IWD2 on classes and feats and abilities was great and comprehensive. 1 "because they filled mommy with enough mythic power to become a demi-god" - KP
IndiraLightfoot
Indeed, unlike say Civ5 today, where the infopedia is faulty, never updated and almost defunct. I really hope Obsidian brace themselves for keeping all that info up-to-date in-game! *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
Prometheus
-Amount of combat xp earned There is no combat xp. Haven't we already seen a mockup of the character sheet with stats like most single target damage, most enemies defeated for the whole party(there is also tab for personal data). So it's likely in the game. Edited April 24, 2014 by Prometheus
IndiraLightfoot
Prometheus: Thank you! And Yay! At least this kind of info will be there, even if that's just for the entire party. I want to see the same stats per character, and not just who's vanquished the most powerful foe in the entire party. As for combat xp, well I'm so into IWD2 right now that this slipped my mind. Objective xp is the new deal for PE (sadly, that means one info tidbit less in our info window). *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
anameforobsidian
Did anyone notice "the Devil of Carroc" as a party member? It's probably a placeholder name, but still.... Edited April 24, 2014 by anameforobsidian
rjshae
Did anyone notice "the Devil of Carroc" as a party member? It's probably a placeholder name, but still.... Yes. It could also be the pet or animal companion. Something I've mentioned before is I'd like to see an (optional) Battle Report following combat. J.E. Sawyer
We have a lot of "best of" party stats and individual stats for you to pick through. Most of them have been hooked up and it's interesting (and helpful) to see how things shake out over time. E.g. a cipher with an arquebus currently is the most brutal damage dealer over time. 5 twitter tyme
Volourn
That should be balanced to be fair to other character/weapon types. P.S. I love these kinds of info stats in games. Lephys
That should be balanced to be fair to other character/weapon types. I thought balance was just a hype word... I heard that somewhere. 1 Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u

Thank you very much! So, noted! Now, let me just set off two months in my calendar around 2014/2015 for playing the bejeebers out of this game! *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***

E.g. a cipher with an arquebus currently is the most brutal damage dealer over time.Better than the rogue? The rogue is supposed to be the 'spike' damage hitter (i.e. large damage for single hit, not necessarily over time). So a fighter might hit for 5 damage 3 times in the same space of time that a rogue hits for 10 damage 1 time. (totally made up numbers to illustrate the point). So the 'Heavy Hitter' classes aren't necessarily the 'most damage over time' classes. 1 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Casts Nature's Terror* , *Casts Firebug* , *Casts Rot-Skulls* , *Casts Garden of Life* *Spirit-shifts to cat form*
