Mamoulian War Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) Because I have missed few nice KS projects when this big boom started, I think it would be good idea to have one dedicated thread where everyone would post game he has funded and thinks that everyone should buy after it got released! Please post only titles which are already available for all public, not only to backers. Thank you! EDIT: And please give us link where we can read some more things about your game of choice and probably buy it Edited March 8, 2013 by Mamoulian War Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Tale Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I've heard good things about FTL, but haven't played it myself. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Hurlshort Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 FTL is awesome, I've sunk a lot of hours into that little game. That is the only one I know of that was a KS game.
Nordicus Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 The Giana Sisters had a part of its budget ($150k) supported by Kickstarter Though I guess that doesn't really make it a "Kickstarter game"
AwesomeOcelot Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 FTL, I didn't back it but bought it afterwards, pretty much a must buy for the price. Chivalry, I haven't got around to playing but it's a highly successful KickStarter funded game. From the gameplay videos they nailed medieval melee multiplayer, it's amazing what they achieved with little money and time. Gianna Sisters: Twisted Dream I backed, it's a great game if you like 2D platformers, one of the best, if you don't then it's probably not the best entry point. All available on Steam, FTL and Gianna I believe also on GoG. Is that really all there is so far? I don't know of any others, so I'm going to have to watch this thread.
Humanoid Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Technically not qualified for the title for a couple of reasons, that of not really a game as much as a children's interactive e-book, and that of being mostly funded before the CSG campaign anyway, but the first product from Jane Jensen's studio has been released - Lola and Lucy's Big Adventure. I only really mention it because it's the first, and so far only actual product I've received out of the $1k+ I have sunk into various projects. L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G

alanschu Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 This is a thread asking for released games that were made/funded in some way via Kickstarter.

Drowsy Emperor Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) I recommend FTL overall although there are some parts of it I don't like. There are too many combat encounters (in fact almost all encounters are combat encounters) and a difficulty curve that's actually a sheer cliff. What this means is that the game is rather similar on subsequent replays, the only different thing being the ship you use and a slight shift in tactics (of which only a few are really optimal in combat). It would have been much better if the writing was more colorful and if it included some humorous encounters - to break up the monotony of combat. It lacks personality which would have been easy to add with a few low cost touches like portraits for the crew or an image here and there. 7/10 Good idea opening this thread MW Edited May 25, 2013 by Drowsy Emperor 1 И погибе Српски кнез Лазаре,И његова сва изгибе војска, Седамдесет и седам иљада;Све је свето и честито билоИ миломе Богу приступачно.

Jaesun Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 http://www.gog.com/gamecard/resonance Resonance. Very good well done adventure game. I was not aware this was a Kickstarter game until a few months ago. babaganoosh13 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) I think it's xii games first big game, and Wadjet Eye is more of a publisher; or perhaps it's their engine or something else support wise is why they also get a developers credit. I thought the same thing as well with Gemini Rue, and Blackwell. The first one is pretty average because it's one of Wadjet's early titles but as the series goes on the plots and especially the banter are done so well that I'd rate them above Gemini Rue and Resonance personally. Gemini and Resonance had sprinkles of humour but Blackwell is full of it, and yet it still manages to get very serious, tense and sad when the story requires it and it does all of these well, the pacing is terrific. You'll also notice the quality of the puzzles and UI steeply increasing as Wadjet get better at making adventure games with each one they release. Edited May 31, 2013 by Serrano 2

WorstUsernameEver Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Expeditions: Conquistador is coming out tomorrow ... I guess that makes it the first of the Kickstarter RPGs (that I know of) Any impressions? Not exactly a lot of reviews out, and pretty much all from smaller outlets, but they're positive. (You can check my round-up on GameBanshee or Google them yourself.) Also, I think I read some first impressions from another forumite in another thread and those seemed positive too.
Hassat Hunter Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Really good. Of course I already played it from the first beta, so I'm already pretty much worn out on it for a while . ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. babaganoosh13 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) The first project has been released that I backed. Pandora: Purge of Pride I played it when I got home after the hockey game. I'm only on the second stage so far. Got my first ability to pull items. The game looks like it could use a little bit more polish. Some of the lettering is a bit hard to read. There is no way to configure your controls, or really view them all on demand. There is a picture in a frame like a painting of the controls you need for the level, but it would have been nice to have them in the menu so I could configure Xpadder in one shot. I still found myself having to use the mouse because it seemed to interfere with my right stick. Gamepad control was a stretch goal not reached. There's a patch coming within a week or so, so I'll see what they address in it. On the plus, the jumping was forgiving, and the warp was nice in the first stage so you could avoid jumping all the way back up to the upper platform for if you fell. I largely backed them to see what their next game would be like when they have a lot more time to work on it, and they don't have to please specific people to get a passing grade. I'll see how Pandora goes to see if it's worth the $10 it is now. Platform puzzlers are a genre I'm largely indifferent to. Portal was fun. EDITed for slightly better grammer.
