Hello everybody,

 

among the fine folks in the kickstarter comments we discussed a possibility to help Obsidian increase the funding of the game a little bit. We actually talked about an idea that showed up earlier on Kickstarter during the funding of the adventure game Leisure Suite Larry and became a tradition for adventure kickstarters (Want the whole story? Check this). We think this a great idea and we know, Obsidian fans are some of the most passionate gamers in the world. So we decided to start THE OBSIDIAN ORDER OF ETERNITY.

 

How do I become a member?

 

Actually, it's quite simple: Upgrade your pledge by 8 $ and you're in. Yes, it's really that simple. You don't have to pass a test, you don't have to choose a specific tier. The Obsidian Order is open to everyone as long as s/he adds this small fee of 8 $. If you've done so simply expand your Kickstarter-Username with "- Obsidian Order" and start commenting on Kickstarter. Proudly demonstrate your membership to this very special order of the most devoted Obsidian fans and help spreading the word about our movement among all backers of Project Eternity!

 

Why exactly 8 $?

 

Because 8 stands for Eternity.

 

What do you get in return?

 

The feeling of being a special fan amongst some already extraordinary people. Yes, it's a matter of fandom, passion and love. There is no physical or digital reward in it. Don't feel impelled to do so, this is just our way to demonstrate our love for that kind of CRPGs.

Just got back from classes about 10 minutes ago.

Firstly I'd just like to give a warm welcome to all those who joined after I left, it's been quite an exciting day eh?

And to all those who joined AFTER kickstarter ended I say, 'Gyahaha!' No, I'm just kidding~ :3

I'm sure any requests made at this time will be taken care of by the good people moderating this thread appropriately... whatever that might mean, lol.

 

In any case, I only ever really lurked this thread whilst the countdown was still active; now that it's over I think it's time I finally go around and spread the love wherever I can.

Good luck everyone. Let's all get to know each other and become good friends whilst we wait in anticipation for the release of the game.

Hurray! I am on the list! I joined up, because personally, all the Order members on the kickstarter comment pages were (And continue to be) amazing people, and as soon as I heard the possibility of a in-game reference to the "Obsidian Order of Eternity", it kind of sealed the deal for me.

Wondering if I can still get in? I couldnt add 8 dolllars more to my $165 I already gave. Anyways, I am excited for this game. I can't wait!

I'm thinking they could have us as random wandering npc's that you might meet on your adventures, or something to that nature. But then imagine meeting yourself on the 13th floor of the Endless Paths. In all serious I'd probably try and fight him/me (see who was stronger :3 ).

Well all I want to say is a massive thank-you to Farudan and Dlux (where ever he may be) for making the Order possible and doing all of the work. You guys truly made forged an awesome community spirit here and raised thousands of extra dollars for Project Eternity. Thank-you!

 

(PS - Farudan - I sucked at helping out over the last 12 hours, I had to sleep and then had an appointment I couldn't miss but I'll be able to assist however you need from now on. )

Five pages isn't bad for something a random person decided to start up a month ago.

So, if the list in the first post is updated, excluding dlux we should be 545.

dlux has 2 lines in the list!

Even if we remove his name, all in all OO managed to raise another $4,300+ by starting the Order. Doesn't look like a lot compared to the total that was pledged, but it's still nothing to sneeze at.
