Dawn_
I was wondering if i should buy it or not. From your comments, i guess they tried to make money around a legendary game. But didn't improve a lot of thing and even worse it seems they really screw up some..? Is the game experience procured inferior to the original saga ? Can you really feel any improvement worth buying it ? (because if it doesn't worth it, i'd rather keep my money for xmas gift and other KS project). Don't buy it yet, wait till the game is more stable. PK htiw klaw eriF
@BruceVc Thanks, i think i'll do that. It seems they made a buggy version.. To be fair, most games these days are pretty damn buggy on release. You should always wait about a month till a few patches are releases or someone comes up with a fix. Eh, it's just that whenever there's a pc exclusive release it gets labeled as "buggy" because a larger percentage of people try to run it on bad hardware and drivers. I haven't played too much yet (half a day), but so far it's been both rock-solid and greatly improved over the default version. I haven't played tutu bg1, but I imagine I'd find myself missing at least the zoom now that I've gotten used to it. I personally haven't seen anything that I could describe as "screwed up" and since most of the complaints I'm seeing appear intent on building a mountain out of a molehill, I have serious doubts whether actual problems exist. Well, apart from the lack of a movie in the end, I guess. That's screwed up, and something they better fix. Edited December 9, 2012 by Nepenthe You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Nepenthe
Thanks for you feedback Nepenthe. I was waiting for a real answer from someone who played the game. Even, if i think i will wait after xmas to buy it (wallet issue ). They've shown no signs of slowing their patching, so I'm sure even the minor issues will be gone by then. Too bad they'll never get any credit for exceptional performance on this department in any reviews. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Lord of Lost Socks
And they have also stated that as they develop Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition they will be adding features from it also to Baldur's Gate:EE, so you can expect quite a lot of support. A small useability improvement, but neat.) You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions

Nepenthe
Interesting. It's a version behind the standalone/beamdog versions due to an extra round of approvals at Atari. If mac passes internal testing today, it gets submitted to Apple. Ipad is already out, but the patched version is still in Apple approvals. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Buggers should've just released it on Steam to begin with if they were only going to wait this long... Welcome to Steam. I was once working with Paradox on a title for them. It ways delayed due to the winter-sales (not these ones, the ones before). After that... it still got MIA for 4 to 5 months before it was uploaded. Now it may be that there was under-the-hood tweaking during that time to make it work on Steam, but I really doubt it has been that much or cost that long to do. :/ That's not taking into account some patches on Steam arriving a LOT later. So I wont exactly go ahead and claim it's the developers being slackers... 1 ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. From what I gather, Overhaul demanded that they get a month or so of exclusivity on their Beamdog platform. Once that was over Atari negotiated a deal that almost entirely cut them out of the equation. My belief here is that Atari wasn't happy with the arrangement and did their best to get back at them while also making as much money as they possibly could in order to stave off death.
