Auxilius Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I thought I didn't care, but then I remember how MotB portraits looked great compared to the usual avatar faces.
licketysplit Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Custom imports would be pretty cool.
Amentep Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I loved old school portraits that were painted and looked cool. I wasn't as crazy about the disconnect in look and color scheme between the portrait and the in world avatar (such as not being able to get hair close to what you want, or color schemes not matching and stuff). That's not something that crops up with the 3D portraits. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
^Rayne^ Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Honestly, if the designers make the portraits first they should make the mini-avatars custom to match the portrait. That would be ideal because then you would see the mini-character really nicely resembles the beautifully rendered painted image of the character.
Highwinter Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Old school, of course. Although I wouldn't be hugely upset if they go the DA route.
kenup Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I would like a combination between PS:T and the ability to choose from any other custom ones.
Gorth Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Pointless thread Indeed Demand Jason Manley for president concept artist!!! “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
