Hurlshort Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 It sounds more like there was a looting exploit that had not been fixed, and rather than reporting it, the person went out of their way to take advantage of it. Most of that stuff is pretty typical policing in an MMO, which is trying to keep the economy stable and deal with gold sellers, bots, etc. The only one that would actually bother me is the person who was censored for using swear words in private tells. ShadySands Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 I remember the chest thing being a big deal a while back but I don't remember what they did to "fix" it. It wasn't much of an exploit as all you had to do was fly to the planet and make your way to the chests and loot them. The planet is level 50 but going to planets outside your level range for better loot doesn't really sound like something you should get banned over. They were worth a ton of xp, so my buddies and I would just farm these for hours to gain levels. You could actually get up and leave, then come back 20 minutes later and the fight would be over. Yes there will be a DLC coming this spring, and yes in that DLC there will be content that contains SGR. But by no means is this content targeted specifically at the gay community, and I'm sure there will also be characters for straight people to jump in the sack with. It's a content update with an increased level cap, and a new planetary quest series. So it's aimed at everyone, it's just that they've finally had content where it makes sense for them to deliver on a promise they made a long time ago. Nothing more, nothing less. Bioware has made it clear that they are committed to recognizing and respecting the gay community in their games. I applaud them for that.
