deuxhero Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 How do I comment like he asks? Never negotiate. You will only encourage more acts of terror.

PoetAndMadman Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I feel like kid before christmas, or like a kid that i was in Black Isle days . I really hope they will kickstart this project, they will have my money and I will also persuade a lot of my friends to donate. 2
Bos_hybrid Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 If they do a kickstart project, my money is pretty much guaranteed, how much they get depends on what they would announce.
WorstUsernameEver Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Obsidian! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I'm an Obsidian representative. Feel free to give me all your money until Chris and Feargus come to collect it.
Flouride Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 They could make a game about watching paint dry on the walls and I still would give them money. Hate the living, love the dead.
WorstUsernameEver Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 They could make a game about watching paint dry on the walls and I still would give them money. Because the painter guy was blind and the paint itself didn't *know* itself.
Labadal Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I'd donate $100 for an Obsidian RPG if it ever happens.
C2B Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 And in this thread we see the desperate behavior of pennyless students on the internet. Truly remarkable.
C2B Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 It was quite obviously a joke. Mine too.
Lexx Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I commented at least twice. Bet lots of people did too. :> "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Morgoth Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Dust off the Aliens RPG. Do it, naow. Rain makes everything better.
Flouride Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Always so realistic.... Hate the living, love the dead.
Starwars Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It would be neat though to maybe have some of those features that were likely in Alien in a fresh project. Horror-ish setting, focus on humans under stress, all that stuff. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
Flouride Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 True, some of it sounded really nice. And there really aren't any horror rpgs around. Hate the living, love the dead.
WorstUsernameEver Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 True, some of it sounded really nice. And there really aren't any horror rpgs around. To be fair, mixing the survival horror and RPG genre in ways that work sounds almost unfeasible.
Flouride Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 As unfeasible as someone making a RPG based on South Park? I think it's perfectly doable, it just won't be your average RPG. Hate the living, love the dead.
WorstUsernameEver Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 How.. how are the things related? The point is that the design goals of your common survival horror and RPG are at odds. It's not that it's impossible, but even if you manage a design that isn't clunky, who would want to play it? Again, I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's def. something that is neither easy to make nor easy to market.
Nonek Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Isn't Dead Money somewhat of a survival horror? Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!
