How many here have voice chat?

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

You can find me in the group and you can add me if you wish. I can never find good AS teams.

Or worse, when they sit there and drill you in the back with machine gun fire. :)

Did the first promotion yesterday and then found an awesome group to complete the campaign with. Got the achievement "Perfect" (take no damage during an entire map) which I was shocked to see. Fun game but a bit of a pain to get a good group. Also, nobody wants to be the healer or technician.

I'd do technician, but healing is out of my comfort zone so :).

I'm in the SoDOFF if you want to find me gifted :p

BTW if people have L4D2 and me on their friends list they may get dragged into a string of Vs games... Der can attest to this.

man, whenever I play, there's no way people will let me be a Tech :) Techs have the best starting weapon in the game, have the ability to block doors and if they bring ammo, they're invaluable. I'm always forced to go as a medic (the girl) though

Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in.

Techs have the best starting weapon? No. Techs have the third best starting weapon. The Officer's Vindicator is by far the best starting weapon and the Autocannon is also damn good.

I don't mind going tech. I like the black tech and his melee damage bonus. Who needs guns when you can one shot aliens with a punch to the face? Not so great as medic myself, but I can do quite well as officer or special weapons.

My favourite weapon is the grenade launcher but it's so hard to find a team that won't run headlong into the swarm or strafe in front of me :\

Actually Heavy Weapons Guy is able to weld too.

Just keep using the grenade launcher. They'll learn. If they don't then soon enough it won't matter anyway. :)

well, it's a waste of a slot going as officer, so scratch that Vindicator, and autocannon slows you down. the assault rifle on the other hand has autoaim which is pretty damn nice. and techs weld/unweld a lot faster, although it's useful only on Insane

My favorite combo is the regular minigun + launcher. Launcher for indirect fire, minigun for few reload breaks, doesn't need to spool up, can deal with anything. Speed doesn't matter half as much as being able to mow down anything that pursues you

Wow. Vindicator is nice enough that it's worth going officer just for it. Special Weapons autocannon slow down is offset by Wildcat's speed bonus so it's of minimal impact. Tech rifle autoaim is okay, but I've never really found myself wishing I had autoaim. On the other hand, I have found myself wishing I had the normal assault rifle's frag grenades instead of the crappy stun grenades on the tech rifle.

Welding is of such minor use, even on Insane that it's a waste of a slot even for a tech.

I'd be up for some SoDOFF games sometime - not sure if I'll actually have the time to play though (my gaming has been rather sparatic and so I'm not sure of any set time that would work). Still, feel free to invite me if you get a game going and need people! o:)

Finally got back to a gaming-capable PC. This is really cool, kind of what I wanted L4D to be.

A lot of developers could learn a thing or two from Valve about minigames. The lock opening one is perfect it takes up time, requires concentration, but isn't annoying or frustrating.
