I'd actually like a re-release or remake (although, to be fair, I can still play my PS1 copy). It would be perfectly canon. The Blight has been stopped. Darkspawn returned to the Deep Roads. Now we can focus on things that don't have a design ripped off directly from the LotR movie and D&D.

Nepenthe Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 EA confirms DA 2. Who would of thunk it? Uh, wasn't it basically already confirmed earlier this year in a financial conference call? "New Dragon Age came early 2011"? Now the announcement is that it's, shock and awe, going to be called Dragon Age 2? Shadows of Orlais? The Throne of the Maker? You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
HoonDing Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) EA confirms DA 2. Who would of thunk it? 2011, seriously? So I can guess one can expect the same **** engine, horrible textures and meh combat system. Edited July 8, 2010 by virumor The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

I think people thought another expansion, not sequel. Huh? It would be perfectly canon. The Blight has been stopped. Darkspawn returned to the Deep Roads. While that would be my preference, I doubt it.
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 EA confirms DA 2. Who would of thunk it? 2011, seriously? So I can guess one can expect the same **** engine, horrible textures and meh combat system. Graphically probably it will be similar (though not in the same 'almost the same' way Mass effect 2 was compared to Mass Effect) but as far as gameplay BioWare has shown that they're not shy of changing things even radically based on fan feedback, just watch Mass Effect 2.
Niten_Ryu Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 EA has been very clear on the fact that they want Bioware game sequel once per 2 years. They spend big bucks to buy 'em and want a full benefit of Bioware brands like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. This console generation might last up untill 2015 so there's plenty of time for at least 3 more Dragon Age games with the same horribly and fugly engine Let's play Alpha Protocol My misadventures on youtube.
